Re: Talking Point: Six Months Since Launch, How Would You Rate Switch 2?

CDSilb

I'll say poor, though I anticipate that will go up dramatically as more games I like are released over the years. For now, I'd say poor because I only have one game that is exclusive to the console and I didn't think it was worth the hype. I also think the third party games are mostly poor with the game key card issue. I also don't think more than half of the games, from Nintendo or anyone else, are worth their increased price tag except for BotW and TotK, and those were originally Switch titles.

Re: Opinion: Third-Party Support For Switch 2 Is Already A Dream Come True

CDSilb

Personally, third party support has been lackluster but it's early days. It's great to see games like Cyberpunk on the Switch 2, but that and several other titles are pretty old and I've already played the ones I found interesting on PC. Guardians of Azuma is the only third party game I've purchased for the console so far.

The worst thing though, at least for me, is that so many of these third party games are game key cards. I won't buy them. Ever. Even the ones I want to play most that are yet to release, like Octopath 0, I'll just wait until they're dirt cheap on PC after several years. There's no point in me getting a worthless faux physical or an overpriced digital copy on Switch 2.

Re: Metroid Dread Studio Hit With Allegations Of Poor Organisation And Management

Toxic workplace environments shouldn't exist, but they certainly do. Those who argue here to "get over it" are in the same camp of thinking that victims need to "toughen up" when they speak up about being abused or worse. It's a disgusting and archaic way of thinking. The correct action after being abused yourself is not to think that others need to suffer the same. It's learn and progress, not regress. If these conditions and transgressions are proven to be true at MercurySteam, then Nintendo should step in to correct things.

Re: Now, This Is What Next-Gen Pokémon Should Look Like

I can see the interest in comparing the two IPs, but this style is its own thing. DokeV's environments, movement, and battles look really good, but the character designs, particularly their faces, sort of blend and don't allow anyone to stand out. It makes seeing a lot of characters on screen boring, which is really strange to state considering the technical side of everything else going on around them. Still, it'll be interesting to see how the game turns out.

Re: Nintendo Details Animal Crossing: New Horizons' Big First Anniversary Update

CDSilb

This is not a big update. It feels quite random, to be completely honest. A variety of whoopee cushion colors for April Fool's isn't a good thing. That's just an item in different colors. Where's Blanca? Most of the stuff I'm seeing here are niche items that will be used once and then inventoried forever within a day or two. Sanrio stuff is nice, and there's plenty there, but it's for a niche audience—and I'm saying that as part of that niche audience.

I keep writing this, but I can't emphasize it enough: the problem isn't that we're missing so many items and characters, it's that Nintendo isn't addressing that they're missing. A developer update stating that these features have been delayed due to the pandemic is completely understandable. The safety and well-being of the staff is the utmost concern. But until we know that might be the reality, then Nintendo will continue to see complaints left and right about what the game is lacking.

Re: WWF No Mercy

How does this not have a review? It's a classic among all other Nintendo greats. It's still modded in 2019 and is often placed as the best pro wrestling game of all-time despite it releasing 19 years ago.
