Reminds me of Skate or Die...love it!

@Kidfunkadelic83 I started on Xbox and played with that style controller (triggers for throttle/brake and left stick for steering), but now play on PC with an SNES style controller using buttons for throttle and brake and D-pad for steering. I like it much better that way. It seems to suit this game slightly better with how the cars handle IMO.

@Jamie_R There is a Time Trial mode indeed with an online and friends leaderboard. The game is great, the community is great, and the developers are very active on the Discord to keep this game in tip top shape!

Bizarre...I was just thinking this morning how I love and miss Stardew but probably am not willing to start a 3rd farm, so I was wondering if CA is working on something new. Then I saw this! Can't wait!!

@Jamie_R Totally agree. It was my favorite mode on all the Forza games, and it would be a great mode for this because you could really work on perfecting the racing line.

Edit: A quick look at the website says there will be weekly time trials..."Every hundredth of a second counts! Challenge your friends and the rest of the world in regularly updated Time Trials events. Global ghosts let you see how players around the world are tackling each track!"

Been waiting for this for what has felt like a year now! Hope it plays as well as it looks!

Playing through it now. I'm enjoying it. Some of the scenarios they put you in are so over the top and feels like they intend for you to die several times while you figure out how to progress. Some of the humor is definitely bad, some of it is good though. The one thing so far I dislike the most is all the foul language. Definitely don't play this around little kids...

Had no idea this was coming. I played it on XBOX 360 and it's great. Really fun. Looking forward to this.

For nostalgia it's Original Gameboy. But yeah that Gamecube startup is pretty cool. That was the first time I had seen it!

@Edu23XWiiU I know they had it on Wii U...I have a Wii U and used it a bit. I used it a lot on 3DS. How did it not work? You mean didn't make them enough money? I just don't really like how the online component of the Switch works in general, gaming or shopping. With the Switch as popular as it is, don't you think the VC would work a heck of a lot better than it did on Wii U?

Who's buying a sealed/mint 35 year old iconic game just to play it? It's an investment opportunity at this point. If I happened upon a sealed, mint copy that someone was offloading at a reasonable price, I'd buy it and sell it to a collector that values it much more than I do. But there are a million other ways to buy SMB just to play it.

I also went from NES to Sega Genesis...and then all those silly peripherals for it. Kinda wish I had stuck with Nintendo though. Great memories nonetheless!

Never really got into StreetPass as I got into the 3DS way too late. But there are some magical things about the DS family of consoles (and those that preceded them) that are lacking on Switch.

@Pikman The more I play this game the lower a review score I'd give it. I totally agree that there are just some terrible design choices. I would list it all here but nobody's reading it anyway. It's just so disappointing. This game could have been so great.

@RetroBox we should play online sometime. That's the mode I have enjoyed most!

I'd have given it the same score. The mechanics are cool and it has some fun moments. The dialogue overall seems pretty lame and not very clever, and the Adventure Mode (like the review says) all of a sudden just gets weird and goes off the rails. Online play has been pretty fun. I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up wishing for a game like World Tour.

@NintendoArchive makes perfect sense. Just like Bob Seger said...'what to leave in, what to leave out'.

Choice between motion control and buttons is a great decision, and the return of Mario Golf RPG mode!! Can't wait for this. If it even approaches the greatness of Mario Golf World Tour this will be awesome.
PS...Why is Helent Hunt narrating a trailer for a Mario Golf game??

I felt the EXACT same thing playing through this game. It was such an amazing adventure, I didn't want it to ever end. I put off "finishing" it for a very long time. After beating the game and restarting, the second playthrough just wasn't the same.

Kudos to you for "finishing" it in your own way.

Had issues with both left sticks so I replaced them early in 2020. Now both right sticks are going wonky!

Bought, played and beat it same day. But I still want to play more. That's a great thing!

@OscarNizero I bought Speedway and hated it. This game is much, much better than that! Although in the harder difficulty settings you might be in the lead and get bumped into a wall, ruining your race. It happens, but much less frequently than in Speedway.

@holygeez03 I own both...I like the controls and Ridge Racer style drifting in Hot Shot. Unfortunately the single player component is somewhat lacking and is more robust in Horizon. This game would be a lot of fun with online multiplayer, but every lobby I enter is pretty much empty!

That relaxation slipped away once I realized there can only be one island representative and you can't change it! haha. great game but that part is annoying.

@Shadowmoon522 maybe for functionality. These weapons above look like they came right out of the Switch (or Wii U) though. Both versions are awesome.

Such a great system. So many outstanding games. And the comment about the battery is so true. Turn it on even after it's been dormant for a year (or more) and it'll boot right up.

Virtua Racing is so good. Wish they had added a time trial mode though.

Why can't there just be a remake of Super Tennis already? Since 1991 maybe a couple tennis games are as good or better?? Bring it back!!

As soon as I started playing it..even though I loved it... I was noting several things that could use upgrades...but little things like bluetooth, more ergonomic joy-cons, better location of charging/docking port (or multiple ports so you have options), better kick-stand, etc. I'm excited to see what kinds of upgrades they install if they go through with it.

And this is something they could do right now...but alternate styles of joy cons. I really liked the Wii U config with the two thumb sticks at the top and the D pad and buttons below the sticks. So I'd love a new right joy con with the stick and buttons swapped
