Re: Interview: Marc Franklin - Nintendo of America

@Unit_DTH Calm your tits, really it's since the SNES that every first year starts slow for a console and i'm talking also outside of Nintendo.
You can't pretend to have games AAA or KA or SupaDupaFly the first year of release, it's impossible. Maybe 1 or 2 but that's all really.
Nintendo managed to give the Wii U at least 3 good titles, exclusives i mean, in the first 4 months. Not bad considering how Multiplatform driven the market is today.
A lot to consider before speaking.

Re: Nintendo Of Korea Embroiled In Twitter Drama Over Alleged Sexist Comment

Bah, Nintendo did love motels and hanafuda cards (they were used mostly from the Geisha representative with their clients because they showed dressed-up ladies on them), this lately thing that Nintendo Life hints Nintendo as a family friendly company in various articles is starting to get a little too loose.
Also, Pokèmon Black/White 2: LOADS OF DOUBLE-TAKES! The statements were perfecly fine if you had less then 14 years but over that you get another sense of anything.
Just a quote: "It's starting to get so high. Ferris Wheels can get so hot...You are not?" I'm translating this on the fly from the Italian version.

Re: Tales Of Symphonia Is The Most "Successful" Series Entry In The West, Says Producer

Araknie

Really, Nintendo did even support big on their sites some really obscure games, and they still do.
They reach out for than people think, it's devs that bail out, it's not Nintendo that's missing something.
Namco has to admit the Sony isn't really talking about the Tales of on their systems, when Nintendo at least giving a banner and a microsite for an almost straight port like Tales of the Abyss on the 3DS.

Re: Talking Point: The Next-Gen Console War is Wii U's to Lose

Araknie

This stupid. Next gen battles are just stupid. I don't care if the Wii U isn't considered by the press.

The Wii wasn't considered by the press and it had the best creative titles of this gen. Nintendo accepted franchises like No More Heroes, Pandora's Tower, Xenoblade Chronicles, De Blob, Boom Blox, Zack and Wiki, Little King's Story, Arc Rise Fantasia, Blast Works, The Conduit, Deadly Creatures, Distaser: Day of Crisis, Endless Ocean, Koroinpa, The Last Story and Muramasa: The Demon Blade.

They made revivals of old that were getting unknown or series that were getting real bad but totally new games like: A Boy and his Blob, Sonic Colours, Donkey Kong Country Return, Excite Truck (Excite series), The House of the Dead: Overkill, Klonoa, SSX Blur and Tenchu: Shadow Assassins.

Didn't expect that journalism, eh? You can't fool me.

Even Patcher said to wait until Holiday 2014 to say something final about the Wii U, you are more negative then him.
Give Nintendo time, it's not like 1995 that you can make games in 5 months.

Re: Interview: Michael Pachter On Wii U, 3DS And The Challenges Facing Nintendo This Generation

Araknie

He seems like another person here. Seems like he jokes when on video...happens to some people i get.

He seems critical but he's really forgiving a lot, i always say that i will wait until 30 November 2013 to see how Wii U's doing, he says to watch the 2014 Holiday season before saying if the Wii U is doomed or not.
He surprised me.

I bet other sites now will ravage this article to quote out of context only what fits them.
It's been always like that.

Re: Talking Point: Warren Spector Asks, Where Are Gaming's Grown-Ups?

Araknie

Seriously i like the genres we have but it's really time for something new. But not in a movie way.

I'm sorry but when i pay at least 50€ for something i need to have the same amount of hours or near that or much more.

I need gameplay, gimmie gameplay with many different options that will have me say "i can't decide what to do" and that would be the perfect game.

For how odd it may seem LEGO City Undercover is providing me that experience, that because the company does LEGO games has not to be put with pressure from gamers and publishers about releasing it fast and furiosly powered.

I don't care i a game, even today, is in 8-bit. It must offer many option of gameplay that required thinking. Thanks to power and powerful consoles we have developers that strive for the last engine and for the last lens flare effect.

PS: Lens flares happens only when using a lens, in a third person game you see a lens flare...well that's just useless. (just to give an example at what importance developers give to the engine before thinking gameplay) Sometimes we get a really long game with awesome graphics but it's not common at all.

Re: Rumour: Suda51 Set To Revisit No More Heroes

Araknie

@ErnisDy Play NMH2 on the Wii or Wii U since it's retrocompatible. It's really 100 times better than the first one.
A real masterpiece for me.

Anyway Suda51 said in 2011: "NMH3 will come for the next Nintendo console!" E3 will be the time.

Re: Ubisoft: Players Will Let Us Know When They've Had Enough Assassin's Creed

Araknie

Tomb Raider 1 to 5 was out every year and the all rocked, when they stopped they lost their charm. Developers change over the years, the more you wait the less possibility you have to have the original team togheter.
All the negativity just because it's a game the comes every years. FF was like that, with minor stops, until FFX and when they stopped they also lost their charm.
You had enough? So you aren't interested in this news. It's simple as that.
