Shin'en Multimedia will be releasing Jett Rocket II - The Wrath of Taikai on the 3DS eShop at some point this year and gave us an exclusive first look at its new teaser trailer earlier today.
However, while the studio is working hard on the 3DS title, it isn't neglecting the Wii U as it confirmed to a few fans on Twitter that it has a couple of titles in the works:
There's no information on the two games at the moment and there's no guarantee we'll see them at any point in 2013, but it's good to know there are more Wii U titles on the way from Shin'en Multimedia. The developer currently has one game in the Wii U eShop in the form of Nano Assault Neo.
One title that was mentioned on Twitter by a fan was F-Zero and the studio gave the following reply:
Could Shin'en Multimedia be working on an F-Zero title? Shigeru Miyamoto said last year he was puzzled as to why people wanted to see more of the series.
What would you like to see from Shin'en? Would you like to see more from F-Zero? Let us know in the comments section below.

Shin'en sind Helden!! (are heroes!!)
If it's good I'll get it, if it's not good I'll probably still get it for being a sucker.
I do hope they make one, though.
Well this is interesting...
That doesn't even remotely suggest they are making a new F-Zero.
I'd like F-Zero in some more capable hands anyway, no offense to Shin'en. Hopefully we'll get some Sega and Nintendo collaboration again - GX was a masterpiece.
How many is 'too'?
It does seem to suggest they're working on a new F-Zero, but it might be a new Fast: Racing League game too (that very F-Zero-ish game). And even that may be a stretch.
Wishful thinking, I'd say, even though I really hope for a new F-Zero game.
Considering their history these games could turn out to be fantastic! I'll be hopeful.
Personally I wish they'd hire a new level designer.
Their games look jaw-droppingly fantastic!
However, they don't play amazing. Things like the in-bounds, but out of bounds rule they use in their mini-golf or the crazy white/black system in FAST make the games more frustrating to play than fun. I think Nano Assault Neo on the WiiU is the best of the 4 I've bought, but I've always been much more dazzled than satisfied with Shin'en products, and that comes down to level & game design.
THEY LOOK GREAT!
...but they could play better, and I hope they do in the future, b/c if they did Shin'en would be the #1 downloadable developer on any platform.
A new FAST is a lot more likely than F-zero... but I'm happy either way.
By saying, "Don't worry, we have something in the works." He could be referring to a new FAST because I doubt they would work on an F-Zero when they have the FAST series. Either way, I'm happy.
Edit: Whoa, my post is quite similar to that of the guy above me. That was not intended!
Looking forward to "FAST League Racing" on Wii U (and why not, 3DS), that game was a true gem on Wiiware library. But for "F-Zero"... id like to see the old Nintendo / SEGA team have a stab at it, 10 years later.
@Nintenjoe64
Too many.
@WesCash. Wow wait ! Have you even played FAST: Racing League ? It's way better than any F-Zero games, and I played them all. Shin'en is more than capable of making a new F-Zero if they were asked. Their games are always high quality, just like Nintendo's.
It's definitely a sequel to FAST - Racing League. And I would bet the other one is either another Art of Balance, or Fun! Fun! Minigolf (hopefully the former).
With Nintendo's full input and collaboration I reckon Shin'en could make a really good F-Zero game.
Hearing they are working on 2 new Wii U games is amazing news alone. Clearly, Nano Assault Neo has made good money and helped introduce their talents to early adopters.
As for F-Zero, they are definitely a good match, but I am skeptical of Nintendo actually licensing the IP to them. but if it happens...
I bet Shin'en could make a kick-butt F-zero game. If it looks anywhere as good as Nano Assault Neo, it's a day one pick up.
Well if Next Level Games can make an amazing Luigi's Mansion game with the help and funding from Nintendo, then Shin'en could make a damn fine F-Zero!
Shin'en has made some cool games in the past and I am keeping my eye on Jett Rocket 2. Their games have always impressed me graphically and Jett Rocket 2 looks to do the same, now it just needs the content that the first Jett Rocket never had.
@NiBar
Yes, I actually own Fast Racing League and it's quite a good game. With all due respect, it doesn't even come close to F-Zero GX (or F-Zero X) in quality though. F-Zero GX is one of my favourite games of all time and I hold it in very high regard.
Naah, probably a new version of Fast!
I always beg for a new F-Zero.
So pleeeeeeease?????
hm, could be cool, i love the nano assault series, especially the newest entries.
Sega doesn't have a racing studio anymore so they can't make a new F-Zero.
Hm, they seem like they'd be a good choice for F-Zero... but keeping my excitement to a minimum until an official announcement.
Miyamoto is as much of an enigma of gaming culture as South Korean pop music is to international pop culture.
Kinda grasping at straws here...
They're probably working on porting the new 3DS version of Nano Assault to Wii U retail.
Aw, I was hoping that Retro Studios was going to be doing this. Ah well, hopefully if it really is F-Zero it'll be good.
F-Zero
The only Nintendo game I care about
While I doubt Shinen is making F-Zero, if the game they are talking about is good then count me in.
It's probably just a new FAST game. Which will be a good thing.
Would be lovely if we can get a new F-Zero though.
i could more imagen that shin'en talked about a new Fast Racing League game. Fast Racing Leage already appeared for the Nintendo Wii WiiWare. It's a bit F-Zero liking. It has futuristic tracks, electronic music, anti-gravity racing machines and so on..
i would really like to see new Fast Racing Leage games.
if there will ever be a new F-Zero for Wii U, i hope it will be as like as Sega Made it for the GameCube (F-Zero GX/AX).
I remember in the comments section on some article on NL that they teased a new FAST Racing League game was coming, so I'm sure its that. Can't wait to play it on Wii U & I wonder what the other game is. Awesome! I've loved all of the Shin'en games I've played, can't wait to see what's next
I would love to see a new HD F-Zero game! That'd be the absolute icing on the wonderful Wii-U-Shaped cake this year! I just hope they don't bring their spelling prowess into the game... they had spelt 'two' as 'too'... Let's hope they have at least dirty or foretee racers on their rooster.
I would like to see a new F-Zero more than anything.
Or a remake of GX. That game is godly.
@WesCash, Sure, we could argue all day about it . F-zero is a great game and I want that to, but FAST just has some really nice different features like the black white thing, which allways keeps you on the toes , the spins in the air, good looking visuals and the delisious 60fps. making everything super smooth and the unbeatable motion steering, it just did it for me . Nevertheless, Miyamota doesn't s want a new F-zero or sadly a new 1080 or Wave race, and I think bad sales is the real answer. They all sold a lot less than expected on Gamecube compared to the N64 where they were big hits. Maybe a new Excitebike?
Nintendo better make a new F-Zero or i will be one unhappy camper :[. Loved the game...Story mode and multiplayer were simply fun as anything could be. They don't even need tp change much about fzero, honestly make it Hd and add an online community and this camper will be unhappy no more
@Nintenjoe64 It's Tooie!
I agree with Shiggy.. those calling for a new F-Zero don't really understand what they are asking for.
the game was great on SNES because it was something new and exciting, nobody has ever made a racer that fast before. But since then, there have been tons of space racer games released over the last 20 years.
How often did you play the F-Zero minigame in Nintendoland? Nintendo does have stats on how much it was played and how often. As a fan of F-Zero, I cannot imagine anything that could be added to make it more interesting, except for a prettier coat of paint, local splitscreen and online multiplayer.
I hope Shin'en's futuristic racer won the heart of Nintendo... They can do F-Zero, I'm sure of it.
Well, F-Zero was added in Nintendo Land and Shigeru Miyamoto was surprised that people were still wanting F-Zero games. What happened next? F-Zero was part of the early Wii U Virtual Console. I'd say a new F-Zero could certainly be in the works.
@LordJumpMad you are insane.
