@ChaosBadger777 If that's the only bowl I have or I can eat from that bowl whilst I'm away from the TV and the other bowl would only allow me to eat from it when I'm tethered to the telly then probably yes.

I didn't even realise we had a different cover in Europe. It's fine but I prefer the NA/Japan version.

@Papichulo In my opinion the Game and Watch is a collectible item aimed mainly at people of a certain age (which I am firmly in unfortunately). As it is definitely a nostalgic product I think if they'd started messing about with the game to any great extent I don't think that would have gone down that well. My main gripe is that it doesn't have more actual G & W games on it, preferably with the option to show the the 'graphics' that aren't being used in a greyed out form like my DS version of Mario's Cement Factory, much more authentic. Still love the new G & W though.

@DK-Fan Earthbound deserves to be on the list and should be higher up in my opinion. Even if the game had been released in Europe I very much doubt I would have bought it at the time but when it was released on Wii U VC I wanted to see what all the fuss was about and it didn't disappoint. Great game with an amazing varied soundtrack, good story and amusing dialogue.

If Japan doesn't win this one then people have gone mad. Lovely cartoon artwork.

@Munchlax I think a lot of people including myself would disagree with you about the games not holding up well.

Decent list, I'm disappointed that Pilotwings and Super Tennis haven't made the top 50. I would genuinely say that Super Tennis is my favourite sports game of all time and I still play it regularly.

I wish they'd update the article to say that the Super Famicom is 30 rather than 25, it shouldn't annoy me but it does.

I can understand people not wanting to buy this because it really is a collector's item rather than the perfect new way to play Super Mario Bros. It works perfectly well though and all 3 games (or 4 if you count Ball game A and game B as two different games) are fun. I think that anyone who bought this expecting it to be more than what it is probably didn't really understand the product.

For me it's the comic book look of the Japanese version all the way, the Western one was perfectly functional but a bit bland. There were a load of box arts from this era where I thought the more stylised look of the Super Famicom covers were so much better than their Western versions but that's largely due to personal preference.

The last time I had to do homework was about a quarter of a century ago but I am currently working from home and I'm not convinced that listening to Mario Kart music would be productive for me. I'm pretty sure it would just make me think 'I could turn the Switch on and just have one quick game.' 😆

They suggested that unless you're a fan of GI Joe then this might not be your cup of tea, I don't see the problem with this.
I've played very good games based on franchises I wouldn't normally go for just because I'd heard that the game was good. I've also played some pretty ropey games based on franchises I was a big fan of and had bought based on the name. It read to me that they are indifferent to the GI Joe franchise and the game is mediocre but might appeal to fans, sounds pretty reasonable in my opinion.

I've ordered mine purely for nostalgia and it will make a nice little desk clock. I really don't think that even if you could hack the entire NES library onto this it would be the optimum way to play them. It just looks lovely.

I thought the commercial was pretty naff but it did the job perfectly as it explained exactly what the Switch was and the basic concept of the Switch is amazing.

I love my Wii U but it was kind of like a half baked prototype of the Switch and advertising was pretty much non existent.

I primarily buy Nintendo systems because I want to be able to play their first party exclusives but I also like to play third party titles too without having to buy another console.

I'm pleased MK11 did well, I bought it a few months ago and I think it's decent. Given the install base of the Switch I think people will definitely be prepared to buy a reasonable port on Switch, even if it's just for the portability. Perhaps EA could learn a lesson on this point.

I enjoyed it but have left it for a while because I got stuck on the later areas and had bought a load of other games. I might revisit it now as this has reminded me it was pretty good. If it's a budget release for Xbox One and PS4 it may sell a few units but a lot of it was designed with the gamepad in mind.

@Nico07 I haven't seen any ssm comments on Splatoon but I'm sure there are some out there. I'm more bothered about someone scrawling "F*** off c***" on Wii Sports Club, Nintendo are pretty good at clamping down on idiots but as my son is starting to read I'd prefer not to have to explain things like that!

Who is really that bothered about a same sex marriage in a game? Are there not more important things going on in the world to be concerned about?

For £10 as a download, I'll take it. That and Arkham City for £12:50 there are some benefits to owning a console that's not selling so well just at the moment, hopefully sales will pick up from tomorrow.
