@Arehexes I thought about Mario+Rabbids after I posted the reply. I think I need to put "/sarcasm" after most of my posts. Heck... even if they wanted to make it goofy like Mario+Rabbids I'd be fine with it. It can be good almost no matter which direction they take it. It just needs to be done well... also, I would like to see Yoshi for sure!
@Arehexes Mickey's newest cartoons are little darker than the originals/younger kid focused ones. You never know, they could go "Shadow the Hedgehog" and give Mario a gun.
I liked the the live-action movie (yes, it was a bit of stupid-fun) and the cartoon. I'm also hopeful for the movie. They will need to pick up their game in relation to those, but I'm fairly sure they can do it. I'm also an optimist.
When I read Danger Mouse, two thoughts came into my head: 1)How many people will know who that is without Google, let alone care? 2)This looks horrible. How about something a little newer like... Swat Cats?
$80 is a hard pill to swallow unless these games are way more than they appear and justify the price... which at this point, I unfortunately doubt.
However, on the flimsy side, I was just thinking that you could cover the cardboard with that tape that dries as hard as metal. You may not be able to use crayons on it afterwards, but it would be a lot more durable.
Nope, this is weird. Heard of a lady in the UK marrying a chandelier, someone in Japan marrying a pillow and some chick in Seattle gay-marrying a building (her words, not mine). Marriage, what has humanity done to you?
I used to say that "I love Tetris as much as the next guy..." but I now stand corrected... unfortunately.
I really enjoyed the game mechanics and soundtrack on the PC quite a bit! It's a very simple concept, but they can make it really tough later on as one could only imagine.
~$9 would be a fantastic price, but it will probably hit around $15-$20. It really is hard to ask so much for games that have been out for so long no matter what you had to go through to put it on a system... I get it, but don't get it...
"*Friendship not included." Lol! I may just pick it up for that line because other than the good laugh I got out of that... I have no idea what the heck I just watched... twice.
The plot sounds hilarious. I like the ridiculousness of it all. It'll be nice to see if it plays out well because sometimes it takes a lot of smarts to make something so dumb be good. (Also, Dust was pretty good so I'd be willing to give it a try.)
Still waiting for the real support for the Switch to show up. It seemed to start off fairly strong too...
@Biff_ARMStrong I don't seem them as complainers as much, as people that want what was mildly promised. It looks like complaining because it kind of is, but I think it's kind of justified.
Do you mean with the Joy-Cons like you mentioned? Can you use two or four of these and then have a fantastic D-pad for Puyo-Puyo Tetris without any hiccups?
@Ryu_Niiyama Well, I don't think it's because they were all burned by acid or something like that. Maybe it's because they're terribly comfortable and maybe everyone will be wearing them in the future.
@MadAdam81 Yeh, in the plot sense, Mr. Shifty is more of an 80's action flick where the bad guy just needs to be defeated by the good guy... kind of like BotW's plot really...
@Forill @Unsolutedsalt I'm almost done with the game myself and think it's great. There was only one real instance of stuttering and that was coming up from sleep mode and a restart fixed that.
I've had basically no issues and a lot of fun. I'm sad to see Mr. Shifty get this low of a score. I think it's well worth the money.
This could go either way. Many people have many or one or two other ways of using all of these steaming functions. How many households will only have the Switch as the only option for viewing this content? Probably ... close to 0%?
Insert "Just because all of your friends jump off a bridge..." argument here. It's not needed. Nothing but games are needed to work on this gaming console.
@audiobrainiac I'm really worried that the amount amount of characters shown is it. I would be more than happy to be wrong though. In fact... I want to be really wrong.
To reiterate what others have said, Nintendo wouldn't shut this down anymore than they would stop you from drawing Mario on your notebook. If he starts to create an actual game out of this and start sharing it rather than some areas to run around in, then probably sure. This is just some guy working on something he has a passion for in UE4.
I think it looks great, but it is off a bit. They eyes are what do it for me though. They look like nice eyes, but still a smidge to large and oh-so dead... just kind of staring into an abyss. Would I mind if the next-next Zelda game looked like this? No I would not. Much like I wouldn't mind another cell-shaded one either.
But yes, this does not look very good, but man it does take a lot of work to create a game from start to finish. I hope that they are not trying to push this out quickly before the Switch in hopes of generating some sales. Goldeneye looked wonky, but is still one of my favorites (ignoring it's release date). Maybe they could be going for a nostalgia trip? Maybe they should hold up and see if they can... make something good out of this?
I kind of thought it was a tedious way of delivering characters. I don't like playing all of the chars and there were some levels where I had to. (I know... first world problems.) I'm not sure how I'd do it, but it's not the SSE way.
Just to throw in my two cents, the Wii U sold fairly well in my store in Washington. The kicker was that it was only the Mario and Zelda bundles that sold, not the Skylander and basic Deluxe. We also had about $50 off each version for the weekend of black friday...
I can't agree with this enough. I have to reiterate what others have said and say again that this article sounds like the thoughts in my head.
I love my PC, PS3 and my Wii/Wii U. While I enjoy the intense PC/PS3 games (sometimes silly indie titles), but I have more fun with the Wii U solo and with buds playing Nintendo Land.
@Kroisos, You do realize that it was already out for the 360 and PS3 so a lot of them already own it. So that could be their justification... it still sucks, but I can understand. I'm going to be picking it up on Steam because they want to only charge me $10.
If I could use a mouse and keyboard on the Wii U, I would probably pick it up there. I got my hands on this at Pax and it played pretty dang smooth even for someone as terrible with dual joysticks like myself. I can't help it if I've got two left thumbs though...
@Sceptic I believe the ghost game had about 5 levels, but because of this game I got crap for not bringing my Wii U to a friend's house for our monthly Smash Bros. party. I couldn't believe it coming from a bunch of 30 somethings.
This is a fantastic deal for about $30... hopefully the stores near me get their crap together and lower their prices, but sometimes some stores are just a little slow to react.

Re: Feature: Vote For Your 2017 Nintendo Life Game of the Year
Debated between BotW and XC2... but BotW is so much more polished that it kind of wins by default. I did not appreciate Odyysey.

It'll be a good opportunity to upgrade my VHS copy anyway...
Re: Video: Watch Us Compare Super Mario Run's "Battery Saving" Graphics Options
@AlexOlney I see it now with the 1080P, but I agree with @Bobb that in the end, it doesn't really matter to me. They both look fine.

From watching the first two levels shown, it looks like the battery save mode gives you a higher score... or maybe that's simply coincidence. /sarcasm

This is good news for gaming in general anyway, spread the love.
Also the Super Mario Bros. movie was awesome. I still own it on VHS and would buy it on Blu Ray if they would only release it as such.
Edit I'll settle with DVD, but I haven't seen it in years.

I'm satisfied for now. Just think how games will look from 3rd parties when they figure out how utilize all of what the Wii U has to offer though.
And while it may be the "B-team" at least they are continuing to develop for the Wii U.
