Famous secret agent and '80s cartoon sensation Danger Mouse is coming to the Nintendo Switch, courtesy of 9th Impact Studios.
Danger Mouse: The Danger Games features DM, Penfold and Silas Greenback as they race around the streets of London in an effort to prove who's the fastest. The gameplay looks quite basic, which is no surprise when you learn that The Danger Games originally launched on smartphones.
Still, after countless mornings spent watching DM's heroic feats as children (as well as checking out the recent reboot when nobody else is in the room) we have to admit our love of the character may mean we overlook such issues. Maybe.

Looks awful, but it is for children and i loved the original cartoon, so i can forgive it.
But once again another Mobile game on switch, seems to be a trend today.
Would have preferred a Count Duckula game
@Marios-love-child I don't know who owns the rights to Count Duckula now days.
This looks really bad. I didn't have much faith in it being good but I was also expecting a little more than this.
Really can't see the point in allowing trashy games into the e-shop. It can only harm the longterm image of the system and the company.
I'd have thought they'd be at pains to differentiate the machine from the swamp of smartphone gaming.
Gotta love DM though . . . CHIEEEEEEFF!!
Game looks terrible but I do love Danger Mouse.wish it was a platformer like that Snoopy game.
@FragRed
Honestly not too sure. I know they were both originally produced & written by the same company (Cosgrove Hall I believe it was) but not sure if they're responsible for the remake of Danger Mouse.
As a 35 year old man I probably shouldn't admit to this but I do own the full series of Count Duckula on dvd...... purely for collectable purposes of course
the age of shovelware is upon us friends
To be fair, it looks worse as that's a trailer for the iOS version..... Probably still won't be any good on Switch but whatever
You say iconic but... How many people have actually heard of Danger Mouse? I was a late 80s kid so I must have missed it.
I think NintendoLife accidentally posted a video of a mobile game. I’ll just wait here for them to fix it...
That looks absolutely dreadful! Shame.....
That's it. No more. Posted this yesterday in the Switch thread. Here's the PR.
"PLAY as the world’s greatest secret agent Danger Mouse or even Penfold, Colonel K, Baron Greenback, Jeopardy Mouse and more…

The game looks like mouse droppings.

Not all mobile games a are created equal
I love a lot of 80’s and 90’s cartoons, but somehow I don’t ever remember evening hearing about this one.
How about that Disney Afternoon Collection??? I’d take a couple of Rugrats games too.
Dangerous mouse was great along with super ted
Bubsy character pack DLC coming soon.
This makes me vomit!! Keep this poop away from the switch
When I read Danger Mouse, two thoughts came into my head:
1)How many people will know who that is without Google, let alone care?
2)This looks horrible.
How about something a little newer like... Swat Cats?
@Marios-love-child Cosgrove no longer exist from what I understand and haven't for some time. I had no idea that Count Duckula was on DVD. I may have to look into making a purchase for myself... purely in case somehow all other copies were destroyed or something and we needed a way to preserve it of course

Enjoy
Count Duckula had a great theme song, but that was probably about it. Now that I think about it, the only memorable thing about Danger Mouse was the intro song as well.
British shows are so...how should I say...uncool.
It looks like a Subway Surfers knock-off. Subway Surfers is a free mobile game....why would I pay for this?
Oh awesome.. just what the Switch needs a PS1 era looking temple run game...
some how the zx spectrum games seem more complex then this.

Im almost ashamed to comment and acknowledge this games existence.
Looks like a trash free 2 play mobile game, certainly would pay a penny for this.
@Marios-love-child Awesome thanks. Just made my order.
really? Why is this a thing?
If Bananaman is in the game, I'm sold...
Feel it’s time to get a bit of quality control on the games being released. Do we really need mobile games that play like temple run on the switch?
No wonder I had never heard of it. Had to google it but apparently it’s not a US cartoon. I thought it was odd I never heard of a cartoon like this around that time period.
@Whopper744 The Eighties version did air on Nickelodeon in the US back in the channel's early days, along with its spiritual successor Count Duckula.

@Marios-love-child
Both DM and Count Duckula are now owned by Fremantle Media, who produce the reboot series of DM for CBBC.
@Ailingforale
There is currently a DM reboot on CBBC in the UK and Netflix in the USA, it's actually pretty good (unlike most reboots).
My son’s Leap Pad has better graphics than this $hite.
I have fond memories of the old Danger Mouse cartoon. That said, this game looks terrible.
@BeanoMaster
Argh I see, that makes sense, I know they bought the rights to a lot of old classic programs and released them on DVD when the BBC or ITV didn't want to fund them.
The Original series of Birds of a feather for example
There was a time when there was a cartoon adaptation, platformers, beat-em up's and (in a rare case) a different genre were the roost. Now we got auto runners an a phone.
That being said, DANGER MOUSE!
Give something like Counterspy on Vita and I'll bite. This looks like trash.
Hmmm... this game or Vroom in the Night Sky?
Danger Mouse is iconic? I’d never even heard of it until a month ago.
It's free on phones.
Oh no
Damn I used to love Danger mouse back in the day and admit I got a bit excited seeing he has his own game appearing on the Switch...but uh..yeah that looks pretty bad..looks like a really terrible version of Subway Surfers.Shame.
@Marios-love-child
@FragRed
You guys are making me want to sit down and watch my The Trapdoor DVD!
Danger Mouse deserves better than this - looks like tripe.
Gooood ger-rief that looks naff.
I agree Danger desserves better. Well, Cosgrove Hall desserved better in general.
Wanted to comment on how the original Danger Mouse was the first for tv produced cartoon but that honor actually belongs to Crusader Rabbit. Looking deeper into it, I think my confusion stems from how the Rabbit‘s creator‘s uncle founded an animation studio and created Mighty Mouse. Ah well, can‘t see how Danger Mouse is iconic then. Never heard of it. Continue to drag his legacy through the mud as long as you want, guys, this looks like garbage.
@FragRed From what I've heard, Duckula shows up in the new DM cartoon.
Danger Mouse wasn’t a thing where I live but I enjoyed the show on Netflix quite a bit, both original and remake
@Angelic_Lapras_King
That is true, although it was just the one episode. I was hoping it might be the sign of a Duckula remake so nothing so far
Loved the originals. I’ve not seen the new versions, but I doubt they’re the same without Del Boy and Terry
@Angelic_Lapras_King I believe so, though he likely sounds just as wrong as DM himself considering both were voiced by the blessed David Jason back in the 80s (not to be confused with Jason David Frank, aka Tommy from Power Rangers).
I used to love Danger Mouse as a kid & it's themetune was up there with Ducktales... not going to touch this game though, it just looks dreadful. Wouldn't even drop a Baron Greenback on it.
All the Count Duckula episodes are on YouTube 🦇
@DanteSolablood Yeah I tried 2 episodes of the reboot, its not for me. Dunno why kids shows these days have to have hyper speed pace, but if its what they like, go like it.
This game would have to be £1-2 for me to even consider it....
Man this looks rough.... hard pass on this one
I loved Danger Mouse. This is a terrible use of a license, and this type of mobile garbage has no place on the Switch. It’s the sort of game that is correctly priced on a mobile ... free
Looks like yet another mobile phone game, pass.
@Bunkerneath I disagree. It looks awful, and children still deserve good games. This is for kids, but still awful.
There's a blast from my past! Danger Mouse was an interesting cartoon. I liked it much better then Mighty Mouse, but not as much as Count Duckula.
@Dysnomia
I'm not entirely sure this one is for kids. That's not to say they can't enjoy it. It's just that I don't think many kids today know who Danger Mouse is.
@Marios-love-child
Forget that! I'm a 34 year old woman and Count Duckula is still entertaining.
I had no idea it was on dvd.
@Whopper744 It was a British show but it did air in the states. I think it was on Nick for awhile.
A bizarre and awful looking game.
The new, rebooted animation is fantastic. But this looks awful.
Personally? I’d like a high-quality adventure game starring Igor and Nanny (Duckula.)
Damn. Going from reading the title to seeing what type of game it is was such a disappointment.
Poor Danger mouse, this is crap!
I bought it it's fun.
