I...I...don't know.
Haha, looks interesting. At least it isn't shovelware
....hmmm :/
I think I'll just use that $10 to get a burrito. The 5 minutes it takes me to eat that is about 4:30 longer than I would spend playing this game.
Hmmmm, I'm seeing a trend here where instead of porting their best games, companies prefer to port mobile games and old titles that are easy to port and require minimal attention.
Why not make something unique to the switch?
Omg another horrible expensive indie game for the switch ... goes back to play AAA game on a ps4
hmm... should i get this or Splatoon 2?
Can't say I'm interested. Had to stop watching the trailer because of those annoying sfx.
Shovely Joe.
9.99$?!! Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! Yeah pass!
@JHDK same here!! Tacos or flautas with nachos plus a jarrito. Yeah!!!
@MisterMan lol good one.
Above me are a bunch of cheap, miserable, complainers....
Most cheerful zombie apocalypse game I've ever seen.
(No interest in the genre, so I'm not gonna judge it beyond that.)
Still waiting for the real support for the Switch to show up. It seemed to start off fairly strong too...
@Biff_ARMStrong I don't seem them as complainers as much, as people that want what was mildly promised. It looks like complaining because it kind of is, but I think it's kind of justified.
Match puzzlers are at their best when they have a plot and some hybrid mechanics welded on. And how many stages is this, again? A very solid offering for such a price. :3
Is this basically a kind of "puzzles + dragons" knockoff?
@peeks now even Arc System Works are allegedly an indie unit. XD
I have a growing suspicion that gamers and fans en masse barely know how to define and apply "indie" or "AAA" anymore, despite insisting that either term has anything to do with quality. It really is like bit count and blast processing all over again.
@peeks Because a game's overall development budget is the only way to determine how much fun it is to play.
And this isn't an indie title, by the way.
200 levels, 1 crappy looking game.
@Biff_ARMStrong man, your comments are getting more and more annoying everyday
I see no one mentioned how Arzest created this game, makers of Hey! Pikmin, Mario & Sonic at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, and Yoshi's New Island. Says a lot.
this is not a beat em up game.
this is blasphemy to the genre.
Another 10/10 game for the Switch. The hits keep coming.
@argh4430 Noting the talent behind this game wouldn't allow such a large number of gamers to assume it's a bad game and complain about it. Instead they'd have to admit that something they're not interested in might be both good and appealing to a different audience.
Pass....puyo puyo is all I need for my puzzle fix
I'll wait for a review. Switch needs some more mindless puzzlers, that's my favorite thing to do with my mobile systems.
Interesting.
@MisterMan I see you get easily triggered, awesome
I know the emphasis should be on gameplay, but god I'm getting sick of these mobile-Switch titles rolling out almost continuously. Very few Switch games seem to be developed by AAA, AA, or even B+ developers. Most of the heavy lifting is being done by Nintendo, who can only roll out so many titles per year. Very few of these cutesy, cheap-looking games appeal to me and I've yet to purchase a single one.
Are these really satisfying other Switch owners in lieu of titles with deeper gameplay and, dare I say it, first-class graphics?
@Captain_Gonru That not-for-me isn't the same as bad is such a simple concept, isn't it? It took me a shamefully long time to realize it; although from the number of people here who haven't realized it either maybe it's a more difficult concept than it seems.
@PanurgeJr Indeed. The mobile audience.
Ugh looks like a generic phone game
They could've at least farted Double Dragon 4 out for the Switch
Considering how much I love "match 3" types of games...yes, I shall definitely be picking this one up. That steampunk inspired one also has my attention. I'm just about always a sucker for these kind of games, especially the ones that have added things like this one (the combat aspect derived from making matches). I don't care what anyone else has to say...I love match games.
Looks interesting - for a puzzler. But the fact that it's a puzzler is what's going to keep me away.
I'm not that good at puzzle games but it looks cute enough that I'll have to but it for my girlfriend.
@AirElephant I agree with you a 100%, when people said that the switch needs more games they sure as hell didn't mean titles like this. I'll take wii u ports and even a bunch of neo geo games over this any day of the week
Im a fan of the puzzle quest style games, this could be fun.
Didn't Arc put out Shepy? Yeah, you burned me bad on that one, I've learned my lesson. pass.
@AirElephant What you said, basically.
The Switch simply needs better 3rd party support to look like a convincing alternative to the other home consoles for the mainstream market. More properly epic experiences are needed.
I must admit I do like puzzles. I'm not keen on the graphics of this game and I have just bought levels, which is quite addictive. I also have a few games now and need to start playing them. So probably will look back at this one once I have gotten through the games I have already. Glad to see more puzzle type games coming to the switch.
@Blister
It just feels like Nintendo is making the exact same mistakes every time, both with 3rd party support and online connectivity (per other articles.)
In this case, world class third parties apart from Ubisoft continue to believe that their titles simply won't sell on Nintendo hardware. That's why they bring second rate titles to the Switch. Titles which involve minimal effort, aside from using the Unreal or Unity engine dev kit and a small amount of effort to move the title across. Anything else simply doesn't transition to the Switch.
Meanwhile, we get endless ports of Steam and Google Play titles from "indie" developers, which is simply code for a few guys, an idea, and about as much money as the bigger companies spend on toilet paper. More often than not we get pixel graphics or line art in a "style" that, like this, looks designed to hide the cheapness of the title or capitalize on the "retro" craze currently underway. And the Nintendophiles, desperate for ANYTHING, continue to praise them as worthy substitutes for the key, major titles that appear on other platforms.
They aren't.
I'm not the kind of guy who buys Google Play stuff, nor do I spend on cheap Steam titles. I know they simply won't interest me, nor will I spend much time with them beyond the first day or so before the novelty wears off. I've bought too many titles this way.
Nintendo seems content to keep things status quo. They make enough money on their own titles and continue to permit garbage dealers like RCMADIAX to produce their offal (spelling intended) titles, skimming a small revenue stream in return.
For me, it's not enough. I'll continue to play my Switch--my only "modern" console (though my two year old NVidia Shield TV has virtually the same processor)-- and I'll buy a few Nintendo titles that appeal. In the meantime, half-baked garbage like this will continue to discourage me from touching these weak third-party efforts from a few developers who haven't the time, the talent, or the resources to produce professional, AA quality work.
@AirElephant I'm content with playing 1st party games and the diamonds in the rough in the third party scene on Switch while I get other fixes from big name companies on PC. Not saying I want it to be this way, I've just sadly accepted it.
@AirElephant It is a shame - the hardware actually has great potential which I'm starting to feel will never be properly explored. This could be another generation of Nintendo home hardware for which support withers all to quickly.
@Blister just like Wii U, yay!
I agree. I've bought the Switch, even with not a lot of games up my alley. It's concept alone won me over. At least this time i'm not expecting the good third parties to come, make my peace with it in advance.
Hurrah, its Pokemon Trozei all over again.
