I'm pretty much convinced this year's gonna be the Wii's swansong, and that they're going to reveal its sucessor in 2012. So, by that logic, 2011 and 2012 will most likely have some of the best releases for the Wii yet, however, most people will pass them by because of the new console right around the corner, and these brilliant games will fade either into obscurity or cult classic status, so that Nintendo will not be convinced to make a sequel. With a few exceptions, of course. Skyward Sword and Pikmin 3 being the most likely examples.
I got lucky, then; the place I preordered the games (Yeah, I got both) didn't really have too many people getting anything there for some reason, even though I got there about fifteen minutes after it opened. Maybe someone out there actually likes me for once!
...And that's pretty much sealed the deal for me. Before, I wasn't sure if I was going to get it or not, but now I'll be first in line the day it releases. Good thing I've yet to play MQ, seeing as I couldn't be bothered to get the Gamecube port because my N64 copy still works.
There's a reason I stick with Nintendo: they've been in this business the longest out of pretty much all game makers around today. I think that they'd know what they're doing by now.
I...Am not surprised at all. I mean, it's the sucessor to the best-selling portable of all time, and the second best-selling video game medium (behind the ps2). Actually, the 3DS might make some new records over its lifetime.
Ah, the old N64... My first ever game console. I got mine way back, in '01 I think. It was used, so I don't know what happened to it with the previous owner, but it's still working after all these years. Even with the near-hell treatment I gave it when I was six. Can't say that for my DSi, or original DS for that matter. I used to be so mistreatful with my stuff...
@WiiLovePease: Yeah! What he said! Also, please, please don't tell me the 3DS shoulder buttons are like the DSi's. They don't work on my DSi anymore, even though I've only had it for about a year. That means that Mario and Luigi, Golden Sun: DD, and a few others are either trickier to play, or impossible to complete.
A main Mario game being released is always good (yes, even you, Sunshine/SMB2). I hoping this is out before the year is over, but I'm willing to wait as long as it makes the game better.
Still waiting on the Lynx, GBA, Neogeo Pocket, and Wonderswan. Nintendo, I love you, and I am not saying this just to suck up and get you to release these systems =P
Those lucky Japanese... Getting a system a full month ahead of us poor, unfortunate English-speaking rest of world. Though, anyone who didn't see the shortages coming obviously wasn't a gamer between 2006-2008. No offense intended. EDIT: BTW, when's the Nintendolife import coming in?
"Idiot human... does he really believe that he could get away with that? Our plan of recreating the great Kleptron will come to be, no matter what these stupid humans want to do... Mwa ha ha ha ha! They all will suffer for this insult!" Is probably what Nintendo is thinking. Honestly, though, that guy was being a moron. From what I could gather from the article, he was just doing it because he felt like it. EDIT: and because he felt like being mean, can't forget that.
Finally! I never actually played Super Mario Land, and I did own Link's Awakening, but the save battery ran out before I beat it and I never got another copy. Hoping for GBA, Neogeo Pocket, Wonderswan etc. games at some point.
If they release everything here in NA, I'd probably have to get Pilotwings, Street Fighter, and Nintendogs+Cats. I have some saving up to do, especially considering Pokemon and Okamiden are both coming out that month.
@zranoll: Me too. Those lucky Japanese got it about half a year before the launch of the 3DS, though, most likely because there hadn't been a new Pokemon game for two years (HG/SS).
I think retailers are morons for decreasing the shelf space of a console that's sold almost as many systems as the PS2. Besides, I doubt that it'll die for another few years; the GBA had games made for it up until 2006, two years after the DS was introduced.
Course, when you remember that Sony hasn't released (nearly) ANYTHING about NGP, then you realise that, at this point, only Sony fanboys will be getting it. No offense meant to Sony or aforemented fanboys.

Awesome, but as a couple of other people said, why the 9/10 if there was nothing wrong?
It's gonna be a looong 42-hour wait...

Re: 3DS Browser Jumps Ship from Opera to Access NetFront
I wouldn't know about the browser, since I don't have a PSP/PS3, but Opera's done a pretty good job so far with what they've been using.

@tristenj1992: Amen. I'd actually be surprised if it didn't sell at least 50 million, if not 100, what with how well the DS did.

Re: Nintendo Announces North American 3DS Games Line-Up
Street Fighter, nintendogs+cats, and Pilotwings pretty much for sure. Steel Diver and Rayman, maybe. If I get the money.
Re: Banjo-Kazooie
One of two N64 games that I ever got new. I found a brand-new, unopened copy in a thrift shop one day a few years ago, and, well, the rest is history.
