Yeah, this news is exciting and all, but there's still the cruelly short battery life. It's really the main factor that's keeping me from using it to replace my DSi (not counting the unresponsive shoulder buttons).

@SteveW: Amen to the hardware quality. My N64 has been through a LOT in the years that I've had it, and it still pretty much works like new (cartridge blowing notwithstanding).

Wow. That's kind of like the NeoGeo Pocket (or was it the NGPColor?).
Mine's actually been through a LOT since I got it as a DS Phat replacement in early '09 (because pixels were breaking enough to make the top screen unusable). Multiple drops, a broken speaker, about 30 or so syluses (sp?), a cracked d-pad, even more drops, another ten or so stylus breaks/losses, and now the left shoulder button has pretty much stopped working. Needless to say, I'll be getting a 3DS ASAP, if for no other reason than because I don't want to get rid of my DS library, and I don't feel liek getting a new console, only for new hardware to come out two months later.

I might actually get this. Outside of RPGs, platformers are my favorite type of game.

Don't really care. Unless it's an action game, where there's generally very little text/acting, I don't bother to import. I like to actually UNDERSTAND what I'm playing.

The first video kind of reminded me of Sin and Punishment/Star Fox, especially with the machine gun (?!) in Pit's hands. Of course, that's not necessarily a bad thing.
The second video... looked kind of borin. I hope that it's not all of what the ground levels are like. It also didn't flow quite as smoothly as the air level, in my opinion. Liked the boss at the end, though.
The third video was too short for me to really judge.
Regardless of what I said above, this game is an instabuy once it's released.

Meh. At this point, only if the game gets all-around bad press is going to stop me from getting it. And the way it's being hyped, that doesn't seem likely.

Meh. Depending on what titles are out for NA, then I might get more. However, as it is now, I'm only getting Street Fighter. Of course, that might change, depending on what's available at launch.

Interesting... I might actually use this, depending on how it's implemented, and what the rewards are.

Not really a problem for me, since I usually play in my room, where there's a charger. It's the road trips I gotta worry about.

Between the revealing of the 3DS and getting Golden Sun: Dark Dawn, I can't really decide.

Well, I'm younger than most people here, so I didn't start gaming until the early GBA/GC years. But, the Christmas where I got my first-ever system still sticks out in my mind.
I had just finished opening all of my presents and was playing with a few of them (I think the one I was playing with the most was a Woody and Buzz Lightyear set, yeah, I was only seven or eight), when my dad tapped me on the shoulder. When I asked him what he wanted, he pointed under the tree, where there was a present that I had missed. When I opened it, there was a cardboard box, with a certain handheld on the side: the GBA. And, even better, I got Super Mario Advance and Golden Sun with it! Of course, this being my first time playing an RPG, I got stuck almost immidiately, and began playing Mario. I was almost as bad at that, so I put it down in frustration and refused to play it for the rest of the day. A day later, I decided to try again, and, well, the rest is histroy, since I've been playing games ever since. All nine years since.

I wish that Nintendo would release GB, GBC, GBA, G&W, or GameGear games on the DSi.

I personally prefer the VC, and I wish that they would release more games for it, because, personally, I'm not all that interested in WiiWare (other that Mega Man 9). Also, (and I know this sounds greedy) I wish that Nintendo would release more consoles. I can think of five consoles off the top of my head that they could do: Sega CD, Saturn, Dreamcast, Game Gear, and Atari 2600. please try to continue supporting the V.C. Nintendo!

I want some more of those series that D4 started releasing!
Meaning: Metal Slug, King of Fighters, and Samurai Shodown.
