Welcome to our Power Suit Upgrade Locations guide for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond.

Here, we'll run you through all of the main upgrades you'll be obtaining throughout your journey on Viewros, linking each entry to the main walkthrough. Naturally, Samus will lose a bunch of her powers early on in the game, much like the rest of the series, so you'll need to get them back, along with a bunch of brand-new goodies.

Most of these are simply obtained through the main storyline, so they're hard — if not impossible — to miss. Regardless, it's good to keep a record and make sure you've got everything, so be sure to consult this guide if you're looking to get that 100% completion rating.

FAQs

So do you lose all of your powers at the start of the game?

Not all of them, but certainly most of them.

For instance, you have access to the morph ball for the entirety of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which is quite a rare treat for a Metroid game. But yes, otherwise, you lose the double-jump, morph ball bomb, missile launcher, and everything else.

Do you need every Power Suit Upgrade to complete the game?

No. The vast majority of upgrades can be obtained by simply progressing through the main story. Those specifically found in Sol Valley are obtained by completing the Shrines dotted around the world. These upgrades to your Psychic Beam are neat, but they're not essential.
