One of the best role-playing games on the Nintendo Switch that also happens to be exclusive is Monolith Soft's Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The title made its debut on the system in December 2017 and is still considered a "must-have" game for seasoned adventurers.
In terms of sales, we already heard last September how the sequel had exceeded expectations outside of Japan when Monolith Soft Executive Director Tetsuya Takahashi revealed he was surprised to see so many people within North America and Europe pick up the game.
Now, in a recent interview with 4Gamer, Takahashi has revealed more than 1.73 million copies of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 have been sold as of March 2019. Sure, this figure might not be anywhere near Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sales, but if it can crack the 2 million mark, there's a chance the open-world action JRPG could eventually surpass lifetime sales of certain other major Switch releases. It's also the best-selling game in the Xenoblade series so far.
In the same interview dating back to last September, Takahashi said he wasn't willing to provide any concrete details about the future of the series, but right now, it looks rather bright. Especially when considering the ongoing reports about Monolith expanding and hiring more staff for new projects.
Did you pick up Xenoblade Chronicles 2 on release? Have you bought the new DLC yet? Would you like to see a new entry in this series? Tell us in the comments below.

I see what you did there.
It was a good game, I'm happy it did well.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite game on the Switch hands down! And my second favorite RPG or JRPG of all time. Second only to the first game.
If they announced xenoblade chronicles 3 at e3, I'd die out of joy!
Loved the game!
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is my favorite game of all time
After nearly 300 hours spent on this game I've finally decided that it's pretty good.
@MadMaestroNole I'll take it! I'll even take a port of XCX!! I loved the ever loving crap out of that game!! I sooooooo want a sequel to that!!
XC2, while I liked it, to me is definitely the worst in the series in terms of character designs and overall plot and feeling, but I liked the streamlining of some gameplay features. My least favourite in the series, but still a great game nonetheless.
@NorseGamerTommy me too, I hope everyone would have chance to try this game =)
My most played game.
We need more.
and that's why it will soon be released on other hardware to make more sales.
Really love Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (and Torna for that matter). It and the first Xenoblade Chronicles are easily my two favourite JRPGs of all time. Funnily enough though, I absolutely hated Xenoblade Chronicles X so really hope they don't bother making a sequel to that and instead just go straight for Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
I've been on the verge of buying this since it came out but I simply don't know where I would find 200+hrs to play it
@Heavyarms55 Same here dude. XC1 is probably my favorite JRPG of all time. It's between XC1, Ar Nosurge Ode to Unborn Star, Tales of Xillia, and Fairy Fencer F Advent Dark Force.
Overall though, I think I would choose Xenoblade 1.
Cool! This game is still in my backlog. I really want to play it because I loved both XC1 and XCX, but my real life schedule is pretty busy right now and even with the option to play it on portable, I feel that a game like is best enjoyed in long gaming sessions.
@Mach_Rider Xenoblade Chronicles X was great! One of my favorite RPGs in recent times.
@Alucard83 You're talking about the long-rumored New 3DS port, right?
@Alucard83 Xenoblade 2 made by Monolith Soft, which is a subsidiary of Nintendo. They own the IP. It's forever an exclusive. Look at Xenoblade X. Ps3 owners port begged for XC X, and MS even told them the same thing that I said, in their own words. If they were going to release it to other platforms, they would have done so with X, because that game sold horrible, since it was on the Wii U only. That would be like as likely as Uncharted, or God of War coming to Switch.
Congrats to Monolith Soft for achieving a very hard goal in the JRPG genre!
One of my favourite switch games
@BigE Me too. I've not managed to complete XC1, but I am close with XCX...
I gather the stand alone Torna episode which is available at retail is much shorter and just as good. I might go for it first.
@BigE can complete story in 80 hrs if you just focus on that.
@Kochambra I absolutely agree with the "playing in long sessions" thing. Back when XCX came out, I'd been hyped for it since the announcement trailer and couldn't WAIT to play it. So 2 years or so later, it turned out that NONE of the stores in my country actually carried it, but fortunately, I went to visit my brother for Christmas that December and bought it in Poland. And you know what happened? It stayed sealed on my shelf for 6 months!! It was my final year of my BA at university and I was like "No, this games deserves my full attention! Not gonna play it until after the final exams"...and yeah, 6 months later I rush home from my final exam and was like "Nobody bother me for the next few weeks!!". Fortunately, people were mostly OK with me occupying the TV for up to 15 hours a day
I did the same thing with the first XC, where I'd do all-night sessions of it, as I played it over the summer vacation. And pretty much the same thing happened with XC2, since I already knew that waiting another month or two will be worth it, so I can fully immerse myself in it.
Still doesn't make it a good game
@Blister The Torna episode is okay. It's about 20 hours long, but that's really padded out. The actual story would've been a couple of hours less had it not been for some pretty dull mandatory quests towards the end. Still worth picking up though, for sure!
That is great from monolith and the series. This is by far my favourite and most played game on switch and a JRPG masterpiece
This is hands down within my top 5 favorite games of all time, which is definitely saying something. XC2 is such an amazing game and it deserves every bit of success it has received.
Even though it is very unlikely, I hope we get a Xenoblade Chronicles 2 true sequel with the same characters and world. I am satisfied with what we got from the base game, DLC, and prequel game, but a guy can dream.
@Mach_Rider Yes, that's the way to really enjoy a game like this! I know I will find the time, sooner or later
BRING X TO SWITCH!
Found XC2 too generic and boring for my liking, reminds of a lot of anime shows I've watched already. Fine if you like it though because seeing how it sold well it probably wasn't for a lot of people.
Rex for Smash!!!!111!
Kidding lol. Nice one y'all!
@Mach_Rider While I enjoyed XCX, and I agree with you about the character design.... How could you say it has better plot and feeling than xc2. They literally scrapped the story within a year of release because they wanted to make you the "Avatar" so you could "make your own story". So my argument is, it had almost no plot or feeling aside from the set up and the end. My other main complaint is that it was all about exploring, which was fun, but you'd come across major items that your searching for for the story and nothing would happen. So you'd have to progress the story a little more and then go back to the item that you already found... Anyways. I think XCX had great potential for a good story, the set up was amazing. And done sidequests were interesting. But there were so many tertiary playable characters that it lost most of it's feeling because you didn't really connect with them. And the plot could have been amazing but it was so short and had so many holes that it made the story lackluster. And I agree xC2 lacked feeling... But I think XCX had less. Especially if you consider XC2 TtGC. Like I said, I still enjoyed XCX though, so I'm curious why do you think it had a better plot or more feeling?
Much like 2B's ass, Pyra's tits are bringing in the $$$
"DON'T FORGET ME!"
I nearly 100% the first, I still haven't started X. I hear 2 is even worse for it's boring extra bits so I'm steering clear of it.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is easily the best Xeno game to date. Now, gimme Xenoblade Chronicles X for the Switch so the game can finally be appreciated by the RPG fans!
Day one for the game and the dlc. Xenoblade is my favourite saga ever. Not surprised for the sales, great game.
Seriously hoping for an XCX port announcement during E3, because I just picked it up again after a months-long break. Love the setting, design and gameplay, and would gladly start all over again even after 100+ hours (half-way through the game...) if it meant being able to experience this fantastic and wonderous world in higher resolution. It's stunningly beautiful on Wii U. Can't imagine how breathtaking it would look on Switch...
Might never happen, but I so hope it could be one of those "Wii U install base was too small for it to sell well, let's bring it for Switch" ports.
Would also triple dip into XC1 if there was a HD remaster coming... One can dream... ^_^'
An absolutely amazing game. One of the best I have played.
Was 100+ hours my first play though and loved every minute of it. Did not go too deep into the blades collecting and storylines - going to do that in the ng+ I started
Torna was good but I preferred the main game.
Combat is pretty deep as well when you work out the combo mechanics etc.
I don’t understand how this game does not get on the top switch game lists - it’s so often overlooked - it’s probably my favourite
@sandman89 I get easily distracted, I managed 115 hrs on Zelda before getting to the 2nd divine beast 😀
@Cheez I don't know how to put it exactly...I guess I wasn't "really feeling it" (see what I did there ). The story didn't really grab me. You get your main goal early on and then you get so side-tracked it takes what...30-40 hours to get the story back to reaching the World Tree? It's probably typical for JRPGs, but I'm not really an RPG guy.
The humour really threw me off as well. The "Lin is gonna cook Tatsu" running gag in XCX was great! But the oversexualization of XC2 and things like giant Maid robots really hurt the overall experience for me. It wasn't until the very end that the story REALLY grabbed me.
XCX's exploration worked PERFECTLY for me, because that's what I like about these games so much! It feels like I'm on vacation to some far off land! That, and I am an absolute sucker for Mechs. But I agree with you on the problems that it presented where you'd find something important, but an event there wouldn't be triggered until the game decides you're far enough into the story. And I agree that it does have strong beats here and there but that it needed more scripted sequences overall.
While XCX is my favourite in the series so far, the story of the first game is easily the best of the bunch.
When it comes to Switch RPGs, I even think that Ys VIII was a ton better than XC2. It was my first Ys game and I picked it up exactly because it looked very Xenoblade-ish and I ended up enjoying it much more than both the main XC2 and Torna.
@Blister that's a great idea, I think they recommended playing that 1st anyway
PLEASE XCX FOR SWITCH! I sold my WiiU when I realised the console was dead and missed out on this game.
I tried to love Xenoblade 2. I really did. I enjoyed the battle system. The graphics were great. The story seemed interesting enough, especially after I found out the connections to the first one. But I just can’t take any game with massive anime boobs seriously. It’s just so cringeworthy, especially given the implied age of the characters (Rex is about 15, yeah?) and it’s massively inappropriate to play with my kids around. I used to love watching my dad play games when I was little and I like to pass on the sentiment.
I found Vesperia, FFXII, Octopath and Setsuna to be much better games.
It was a massive shame because the first one is probably my favourite game of all time. I’ve been back to 2 2-3 times to see if I can get over it but it’s just as bad.
I'm actually surprised it did so well. Shortly after release no one really talked about this game. I mean a ton of other JRPGs on Switch get talked about so much, heck Fire Emblem 3 Houses will most likely get people talking for months as per usual with modern FE games. But I think it's sad this game is just never really brought up that much. Glad it ended up selling well though.
@RadioHedgeFund Story = Great, Gameplay = Great, Graphics = Great, Big ol Anime Bitties = Screw every other point this game is garbage. Did you also not like Pokemon Omega Ruby and Saphire due to them having too much water?
Haven’t played it but everyone I trust seems to really rate it so I’m pleased it did well.
@patbacknitro18 I know, right? It’s such a crap reason to dislike a game but honestly it bugged me every time I played it. That and the horrible ‘I’m vulnerable and need a brave man to protect me’ schtick from Pyra and the ‘I’m an obnoxious teenager and I’ll wear what I like’ schtick from Mythra. Horrible tropes for female characters. Especially given how strong a a character Lora was in Torna. I wish I could have played a whole game with just her and Jin.
The one thing that did annoy me about the gameplay was they undid every great thing about the first one, like not having to revisit NPCs after completing a quest.
(I also disliked Ruby and Sapphire for having the worst lineup of started Pokemon in the whole series. Gen 3? Yuck.)
I really liked the game. I did not finish XBC1 and X, but this one was great from start to finish, despite its flaws.
Still hanging on to see if the DLC gets put on sale, but I loved the game. 'Only' played 90 hours, but it was worth every penny.
Doubt we’ll see a sequel anytime soon but one can dream. XC 2 is the only game besides BOTH that I’ve played over 100 hours. And of course XC 2 is on top with 200++ not counting Torna.
@RadioHedgeFund Wasn't Pyra also protecting Rex considering that it was her power they were using? Seems like a pretty solid team effort, which if i'm not mistaken isn't the battle system in that set up to where you are always in pairs? And doesn't that game have a ton of strong female characters? Why nitpick the ones you don't like when there are plenty of other strong female characters in the game? Why is it so bad for those characters to be the way that they are when there is a variety of different female characters in that game? Heck lets turn this around. Should Xenoblade 1 be hated for Shulk being allowed to run around shirtless? Should Breath of the Wild or Mario Odyssey be hated because the characters can run around shirtless? Sure hate a game for characters having big boobs, you know, which is a completely natural thing that many women do have and cannot help having. And don't hate a game that shows Marios Nipples.
If they want to hit 2 million a bundle of the game and DLC would be nice. And if it can't fit on one cart just put XC2 on the cart and make Torna a download. Not perfect but it would be sure to pick up a few more sales.
Not for us, we just need the season pass to go on sale again. Tried to buy it on sale at Target but it wasn't available in any of the 10 stores near us or online.
I know it's not that old but HD Xenoblade 1 on Switch or Xenoblade X port would make me happy. I doubt we will see XB3 just yet but you never know.
My wife played through it and she really liked it. I’m happy to see the series starting to find its legs.
@FarkyValentine
I’ve been saying Xenoblade 1 should get an HD remaster since Nintendo went into HD. It’s just begging to be brought into the modern era and I see no better time than now to do it.
My first switch game and I love it! Great, unique dub, fun characters and plot. Even the battle system worked really well. The only critique is the out of control banter during the fights... got a quip, wait your turn!
Xenoblade Chronicles is an awesome series, really looking forward to where they take the series next. I'm more of a main series guy than a XCX guy, so I'm hoping for a XC3, though I'd most certainly be hyped for a XCX2.
When the technology in Ninty's hardware makes everything look really, really sick I'd absolutely love a remake of the original, with a few tweaks here and there!
Good, I picked up this game last year and it's awesome!
My favorite game of all time.
Solid sales, a growing franchise which is good to see....
Wonderful! Bodes well for a new Xenoblade game!
It's the first game in the series I've been able to fully embrace. Great game! Love that it's selling decently.
@BenAV i fully agree with that XCX to me is way worse then both XC1 and 2
@Ham-n-jam im currently replaying the first one on the 3ds graphically not bad for a 3ds game.
That’s awesome that its done well but I just couldn’t get into it and I’ve tried several times.
@RadioHedgeFund Those are valid points, and I felt much the same way about XC2. Pyra fans can make all the snide comments they want, but you're right. Character design and subtext matter.
It's a decent game. The environments are amazing, and I'm a fan of the combat system. But it does have some major flaws, including but not limited to excrutiatingly childish gender dynamics. I don't hate it, and one day I might even go back to it. Then again, I might not.
Honestly, considering the fact that the genre isn't as popular as some others, that's pretty dang impressive!
I still need to pick up this game AND Torna....
I bet all the people whining about "anime boobs" are totally okay with every western game portraying men as all muscle bound super humans that look like sculpted Greek demi-gods with a lady on each arm, with bodies that no real man could ever dream to have... But, you know, double standards and all.
Also I liked Xenoblade X too, and would like to see it get ported to Switch and eventually get a sequel. But I can see why some people didn't like it, despite likeing XC1/2. It is a very different game.
Skipped Wii U, hope they port the first one to Switch.
@Almighty-Koz true, although I wouldn't go around praising the 3DS's graphical capabilities too much hahaha. Love the first one to death, and I was practically crying when Shulk and Fiora were introduced as DLC in XC2, they looked so good. I'm thinking about the whole game looking something like that, maybe with an art style closer to the original tho.
@BigE 200 hours to play it? It only took me 100 hours to conquer it
The original Xenoblade Chronicles is my all time favorite game, but I also loved X on the Wii U and I very much enjoyed 2 (haven't played Torna yet)
@Mach_Rider I see what you did there
As far as oversexualization XCX had a bar to choose the size of your bust if you played as a female character. And put Lin, a 13 year old, in a string bikini. Including having her pubic region revealed. (I hope I can say that on here). Though this was censored in the West, and I definitely agree that XC2 takes it a little to far for my tastes as well.
I agree that the exploration was great in XCX. Maybe the best? Though I found the areas a little more interesting in 1. What specifically comes to mind is the random secret area that you step out of and see the entire Makna Forest waterfall, or the giant slope jump in the ice area. (as well as how that area has a sidequest that reveals interesting history of the giants.) Also, I think what pushes 1 slightly ahead is that there are actually cities to explore. I mean New LA is great. But it lacks the diversity of having different cities with different life forms like the Nopon village.
Clearly XC2 falls short of both though it does have cities. It's just outside the cities the areas felt a little linear and at times small. Though... I blame the fact that the Zelda BotW team stole members of Monolith in order to create the Zelda overworld. I think if Monolith had them then XC2 would have maybe been the best since it did have a lot of interesting areas at least.
XC2 was a fantastic ride from start to finish, though I just can't bring myself to go back to it to finish sidequests & superbosses because of it's in depth systems. It was engaging for the 100+ hours I spent to complete the main story (and sidequests I did do), but it's complex enough that it puts me off returning to it in a pick up & play manner. Maybe by this point I should just jump into Torna.
I loved the character design & personalities, BTW.
Good to see that it's selling well. I haven't gotten the Torna expansion yet, but I love the base game. I'm pumped for what's next in the Xenoblade series!
Was that having a good scout around? I'm one of these who likes to have faff about. I'll definitely pick it up at some point
I loved Xenoblade 2. I actually had as much fun as I did with BOTW and Odyssey that year.
@RR529 It's definitely easy to jump into Torna. And a better game all around. Improved graphics, better story telling and character development. Though the entire story with some sidequests will probably only take you around 30 hours. I did just about everything short of all of the super bosses and spent about 60 hours.
I enjoyed this game and my 300 hours shows it. Well deserved. Just like some fans want let's make XCX a thing on the switch.
@Heavyarms55 Really?
I have a love-hate relationship with this game, while I do love Pyra since she is similar to my own original character named Ruby Walker, the gameplay is too slow.
@Heavyarms55 Why do you keep saying western as opposed to Amercians? You're saying that like you'd seen a lot of ecchi and hentai anime. Are you really that intelligent? I got used to this issue for years now.
@patbacknitro18 Why do people keep complaining about the fanservice in either gender in any media?
Good game. And a good number.
To bad they not multi platform anymore like Level5 and SE. They could have moved this to PC like Octopath/Ninokuni and grown the franchise.
@NorseGamerTommy It is a good game
@RadioHedgeFund That is a very shallow reason to dismiss the game.
I mean, FF XII had Fran, the first Xenoblade had Sharla whose more modest attire consisted of booty shorts and a very low cut top, her design is basically Pyra but less anime.
Feel good news of the day, they deserve every copy sold.
Monolith soft took my favorite studios list by storm, I always knew they where good (baiten kaitos exists after all) but damn.
Xenoblade 2 does so many things so incredibly well. An absolute master class in world building, a story and characters so well written they rival Nier automata for best written game in at least 5 years (the only blemish being the ending), and a combat system that improves what was previously established as much as it adds to it to create it's own distinct, yet familiar style.
The game is far from perfect, hiding the best blades and the most interesting side quests behind RNG elements is just stupid, it's presentation isn't as good as it could be, most side quests are pretty bland, it's pacing can come to some ugly crawls and it's UI was pretty messy at first.
Despite it's lows, it's highs are just really, really high.
Just a bummer so many people dismiss it for the most trivial reasons, chief among them being it's art direction (which for the record, I don't particularly like either).
I can safely say I eagerly await whatever they got cooking next. Monolith soft is in a constant state of improving.
@Cheez Torna is an expansion, it is meant to improve.
But without the base campaign, it just isn't a particularly good experience bar game play.
It's too short to flesh out characters, and even the characters that benefit the most out of it (mythra and Jin) fall pretty flat without the main campaign to give the full scope and depth of their characters.
And no, the story telling isn't any better, it's as good as the base game. The difference being that one story is entirely self contained and the other is reliant on another.
@Starcakes the difference with Sharla was 1. She was realistically proportioned and 2. You had the option of dressing her how you wanted, either slutty armour or something practical. Or you could put her in a swimming costume. But you had /choice/ just as you could dress Shulk and Reyn in their smalls if you so wished. Ditto the cast of XCX.
It wasn’t just the boobs though. XC2 was a step backwards in almost every way from XC1.
@RadioHedgeFund You couldn't tough, Sharla had exclusively slutty armor, she doesn't have a single chest piece that doesn't have cleavage, and the best thing she had on the bottoms front were her og booty shorts, even heavy armor was bikini armor.
Fair enough on the proportions front.
How was it a step back? Legitimately curious, if you are willing to share.
The only major down grade is the pacing, which was perfect on the original, and does falter on XC2. And yeah, the anti-fatalist theme was better realized than the anti- nihilistic themes on the second.
Aside from that? I really can't think of much that can be directly compared and XC2 did significantly improve on several fronts.
The main party is smaller and more focused, so all characters feel like an important part of the story and none of them feel like they lose relevance, like with Sharla who after her recruitment pretty much loses all relevance to the main plot until gadolt shows up for a few secs before dying or Riki who is basically just a mascot...or you know, Fiora, who is abscent for two thirds of the game.
The party also has better interactions because heart to hearts are no longer locked behind grind walls and they can now involve several characters instead of just two.
The antagonists are much better as well, since they actually have depth and motivations. While on the first one Dickson is...well a dick for no real reason, same for zanza who is a megalomaniac and little else. Egil was cool, but he doesn't have enough presence and drops entirely too fast.
World building was also taken up a serious notch. The relation between people, blades and Titans and how it affects their way of life is beatifuly explored from beginning to end, and one of the final reveals ties up everything perfectly.
On the original the setting of the world doesn't really come to a head until the nature of the mechonis and bionis is revealed, and even then, it's never explored how the setting changes how people live and react to different things.
This is more subjective, but characters in XC2 felt like they were more dynamic and prone to growth. In XC2 almost all characters get kicked in the teeth, and those lows usually beget change or reveal something about them, while on the original they were mostly catalysts for resolution and not much else.
It's very obvious, but I disagree that one entry is superior to another. They each have their highs and lows from both a narrative and game play perspective.
Hope I didn't bore you with my long winded trash. I just have a lot to say about these games.
@Starcakes it felt like a step back in many ways. Xenoblade 1 streamlined or outright eliminated so many JRPG issues that 2 brought back, not least of which was the sexualisation of characters. Mythra was just obnoxious. In terms of mechanics you had to go back and collect rewards from NPC side quests which 1 got rid of. The party gauge was better utilised in 1. The cool down on moves rather than build up made battles much better, and by default you could use arts to start a battle rather than unlocking it (ie you could sneak up and backslash enemies) The affinity system between characters was really good and they binned it. The soundtrack was better across the board.
I guess I just prefer the more realistic characters from games like XC1, FFXII, VIII, XV, X and Octopath rather than the outright anime aesthetic of Tales of etc.
Good news! Xenoblade 2 is my favorite game on Switch.
@Custom1991 Because there is more to the world than the US and Japan...
Amazing game! It deserves all the sales it can get and more!
Now all I want is a XCX port, maybe even XC1.
@Heavyarms55 Really? How many countries who release video games?
@kurtasbestos - "After living with my wife for 35 years I've decided...shes pretty good."
@BigE You make time man. 2 hrs here, 3 hrs there...then you do a couple no life weekends. Its seriously one of the best games on Switch and the music...wow. It really is amazing
Interested to see what Monolithsoft is working on next.
@RadioHedgeFund I am surprised you think that way, stylistic choices aside, the original Xenoblade was not any less "anime" Monolith has outright said the game was written as if it was a manga.
Ditto for the FF games, VIII even had gun blades.
And it's weird, cause I completely understand, I am also not into anime at all.
If you are into more sober JRPG's, I do encourage you to maybe try titles like FF Tactics, Valkyrie profile, Ogre Battle and Tactics ogre. They are all pretty old, and a little rough around the edges, but they are all superbly written and surprisingly grim. They are unlike anything you'll find nowadays.
Anyhow, I disagree, but I am not here to change anyone's mind. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
@Bizzyb you're right, I need to start chipping away at my backlog an hr here and an hr there , I'm on it
@Custom1991 There are British studios, Canadian Studios, Brazilian studios, Polish Studios, French Studios, etc... And not all Eastern games are Japanese anymore, there are also Chinese companies, Indonesian companies, Taiwanese companies etc... The world is a big place dude.
I downloaded this game & the expansion pass a month or two after it came out, & I still haven't played it yet. I toyed around with it some, but couldn't get into it (the very beginning is kind of boring). I've been in the middle of XC 1 on Wii U for about 3 years now & kind of lost interest, not to mention I haven't played Wii U since the Switch released. But I thoroughly enjoyed XCX on Wii U, & played through it to completion 2 times.
Can I get a Morag/Brighid spin-off and a port of X please?
(Didn’t enjoy 2 as much as the other franchise entries but I am glad I helped with the sales figures)
With how hyped the game was, I figured they had higher expectations than 1.73 million, but I had thought the other Xenoblade games had sold more than that. A little surprised that this is the best selling game in that series. In any case, most developers are very happy just to hit the 1 million mark, so good for them, I might actually get around to buying this game myself one day.
Good, cause this game is absolutely brilliant.
I wonder if Switch will get a port of XCX? I just want that game to have a chance to touch audiences it didn't get to the first time around.
Wow, 1.7m for a single game.
Xenoblade reached Fire Emblem dimensions of sales!
Next stops: Dragon Quest, Final Fantasy, Pokémon.
@BigE You don't need 200HR to play it, the story it's not really that long. However if you want to do all subquests, collect all the blades and increase their power and do their own story missions, it will definitely take you 200-300HR+.
I actually liked the story. I just wished it had an Epilogue or something. Just like XC1 did at the end.
