Bizzyb commented on Nintendo Goes Download-Only With The 2014 Club...:

@noctowl It is rather disappointing. The whole process to redeem points takes a good amount of time, not to mention a lot oof money to be spent....I'm starting to get the idea that Nintendo is trying to save money and headaches.

I remember the Luigi's Mansion prize being "sold out" within a day. Maybe it just wasn't a profitable or worthwhile experience for Nintendo....

I absolutely love the Wii U's multimedia capabilities. So many times I lie in bed, Gamepad rested on my pillowed stomach/chest, TV off, watching Netflix, YouTube, or browsing the web, before going to bed.

That's just something I never knew I'd want out of a console yet here I am, loving that ability. I don't even like tablets, but I love that the Wii U offers me access to everything I would previously NEED a laptop or TV for, when and wherever I want (within limits)

Nintendo has already shown that the Wii U is capable of this in several trailers but I agree that they should try harder. The system does SO much more than MS and Sonys machines yet I guarantee the general gaming public has no idea.

Bullcrap....because they didn't have Playstation Plus accounts?? Lots of people who oowned either a PS3 or 360 didn't have Plus accounts. What exactly would draw Wii Owners to PS4? Games like Second Son? Knack?

I agree, a lot of genres
adventure (okamis and Zeldas)
survival horror
futuristic and arcade racers
puzzles and strategies
even RPGs
are either dying or dead. Nowadays 80% of the industry involves using a gun to shoot and kill people/monsters/aliens/zombies. Its like publishers and developers no longer care about making great unique games just games thst have potential to make "COD $$$" and that's just sad

Bizzyb commented on Review: Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (...:

I have a feeling 3rd party publishers are conditioning people to NOT buy their games on Nintendos consoles.

I mean, every single major 3rd party Wii U release has missing features or content. It's utter BS and I guarantee MS nor Sony would allow this kind of crap to happen on their systems. At this point I almost feel as if MS and Sony have some kind of secret agreement that forces 3rd parties to gimp, undermine and sabotage Wii U versions of their games...otherwise Wii U versions WOULD be definitive versions with off tv play and Gamepad gameplay

Think about it folks...

Are you serious?
We can finally have Goku, Ryu, Ken, ANYONE fight in Smash..and their customizable options with gear and clothing looks to be insane. If you don't like it, fine don't use them but this is a very good thing for the rest of us

@BLPs LMAO, amazing.

I love how they perfectly captured Pac-Mans retro/new school look! His moves, sounds, everything is perfect. I'm just REAALLLY hoping they didn't cut for Amiibo, I'll gladly grab everything Metroid, and Zelda and maybe a few odd balls out like little Mac and Pitt

Best Nintendo E3 showing in years.

Zelda looks absolutely amazing, as does Yoshi Wooly World. Also, including Bayonetta 1 with Bayonetta 2 was an incredibly genius move...and that Smash Invitational...sooo hype. To top it all off we got an excellent nice surprise out of Splatoon, my personal Hidden Gem of E3 2014.

Say what you will about MS and Sony but Nintendo madeE3 FUN this year. Hats off to themselves

This and Flashback were two of my absolute favorite games in the 16 bit era. I remember being COMPLETELY blown away when I first booted up the game and watched the intro. I even called my older brother in the room to rewatch it.....good times.

They probably should not have announced this so early. The fact that they already have projects in the pipeline and the rsther nonchalant attitude of the announcement may have some gamers a bit learly that they are stretching themselves thin and unfocused...which can be off putting. That said I'm looking forward to Moon Chronicles and I wish them best of luck

Bizzyb commented on Talking Point: Nintendo's E3 Plans Are Full of...:

But they're not really going "all out" without a live conference. That said I'm REALLY looking forward to this years E3. The Smash Tourney will be awesome but dammit I wanna play it for myself! And thankfully I can (my Best Buy participated last year as well). Please just bring back Fzero, Metroid or Star Fox

Bizzyb commented on Nintendo Lifts The Lid On Its Plans For E3 2014:

Its a little disappointing but I can understand Nintendo wanting to save millions of dollars by not going all out with fanfare. I mean itwas different when they were making money hand over fist with the Wii and could afford it.

As long as we still get the info and media that's all that really matters

Bizzyb commented on German Ratings Board Leaks Another World: 20th...:

@SKTTR The Flashback remake was released on the PSN store and XBLA some time in 2014. I've been hoping they would announce a Wii U release but that's looking less and less likely. I'm going to email them and find out if it's a future possibility.

Bizzyb commented on Skylanders Trap Team Is Coming To Wii, Wii U A...:

So basically they've found a new gimmick to get kids to beg their parents buy even MORE stuff...
"Don't you have all the new Skylanders Jimmy?"
"No mom! I need my trapp crystals too! How else am I going to capture Chaos!?"

and watch these trap crystals come in random paks of doubles. Kids are going to end up with 5 versions of the same crystals.
It's really marketing genius but disgusting in its obvious practice to milk even more money outside of the regular skylanders paks. I mean the whole Swap force was inventive in gameplay AND a way to get kids to buy more paks, but this....this just seems a bit lazier, and much too obvious

I can't wait to see this bubble burst, but hey if Nintendo can get people to buy new Pokemon why can't Activision do it with Skylanders (although Pokemon seems more fleshed out, i.e. way more different types, evolutions, mega evolutions, new features outside of battling, etc.)
