@ShadJV I'm expecting a 2014 release. They've already stated as much. Nintendo needs a big holiday title and Smash is that AAA holiday must have exclusive. I wouldn't be surprised if the 3ds game comes out AFTER the Wii U game though. Nintendo really needs to put the major focus on Wii U

There really is NOTHING that caters to the Japanese market on PS4 (except for maybe MGS). Expect sales to continue falling.

As for Wii U, I expect it to roll into full swing once both MK AND Smash are released. It would have had a largely impressive library by then for new comers.

I would love to be a fly on the wall in a room full of indie devs. They must think the Wii U audience is pathetically desperate for new games. Don't get me wrong I love the support but its just so much contrast between indie support and major publication support

@HappyHappyist

I'm pretty sure at this point that the"real" reason forthe delay is bc
1. They needed the extra manpower to help with the development of the MS and Sony versions a siphoned devs from the Wii U team

2. Didn't want to compete with Mario Kart during the same month.

That said I'm sure the extra time will help with Gamepad integrations etc.

Ubisoft is not going to cancel the game. I can't believe people are still debating this. Anyways it looks good, not GTAV good but decent. Unless it's just a bad game there's no reason to not get this game. Why not prove everyone wrong and show that there IS a market for 3rd party games on Wii U.

Not buying It only leads to the self fulfilling prophecy that games don't sell on Wii U. Don't be upset when the next game skips Wii U.

@CaviarMeths Good point, but the problem with releaseing the same product over and over again is that you eventually burn out your market. This happened with the music game genre, and the skateboard genre, and eventually will happen with FPS genre.

That's why ,imo, we need indies who aren't afraid to try new ideas for gameplay. Hopefully the Wii U provides a canvas for indies to truly shine on.

@Zombie_Barioth The hell are you talking about?? When I saw how the gamepad interacted with Nintendoland I definitely wanted to try it out. Or when I saw off tv play It enticed me as well.

What exactly does PS4 or Xbone have other than last gen ports? Titanfall doesn't make me want one, esp with a 360 version on the way...so then what? Knack?

If W101 isn't in your top 5 it probably just means you haven't played it yet.

Seriously folks, if you like quality games with a challenge, content and an insane amount of production quality PICK THIS GAME UP. Its incredibly messed up such a great exclusive IP got looked over

The thing I like about this site is that you guys havethe most iinteresting content, I.e. editorials, articles giveaways etc. Even your reviews seem really fair anf balanced. What's more interesting is that you guys are primarily based in the UK, a region where Nintendo doesn't do so well..kinda ironic

Anyway ontopic, DKR was one of my most played N64 games ever. I remember getting those promo VHS (yes VHS) tapes in the mail and salavating over it's release. This was waaay before the age of the internet. In some ways I liked those days better...less bickering and negatively
