Some of you with very good memories may recall a rather fun looking game called Guns, Gore & Cannoli being pegged for the Wii U eShop. As you've no doubt realised that title never quite made it to the home console.
There is some consolation, however, with Crazy Monkey Studios confirming that it's now on the way to Nintendo Switch; you can see the confirmation and a PS4 launch trailer from late 2015 below.
Last but not least we have great news for all fans that begged us to let you shoot zombie freaks on the go. Your prayers have been heard: Guns, Gore & Cannoli will be making its way to Nintendo Switch. We received our Switch devkit last week and will be porting Vinnie’s first adventure to the new console. Nintendo was very keen to add the game to their indie line-up and we’re thrilled we’re going to make this happen. Stay tuned for more information.
This confirmation was part of a blog post around the sequel, so it'll be interesting to see whether that also makes its way to Switch after the first title has been ported across.
Do you like the look of this?
With thanks to SLIGEACH_EIRE for the heads up.

Looks chaotic, violent, and fun. It's got my interest.
I saw the headline and was not interested, then I watched the trailer and my thoughts completely changed. Looks fun if the price is right.
Digging the emphasis on local multiplayer. Going to be watching this one.
For those who moan about the stance that SLIGEACH_EIRE takes on the Switch, take note the he sent this tip in.
Also, a gangster version of Metal Slug, yes I want this. This will be one game I'll be happy to get when I eventually pick up a Switch.
I would also love to see more indies make games with a comic book/cartoon look instead of the usual 8bit graphics that most seem to use.
Ok, it’s a run-and-gun. I don’t like the Italian mafia theme but at least it’s something different.
Looks sugoi!
Looks like a very fun game! 4 player local co-op sounds great too, though it may end up being useless to me. Still, its something. So I can't complain.
@dizzy_boy
What does that have to do with anything? He sent it in because he loves attention- the same reason he's constantly making controversial comments- the same reason he's always rushing to post first.
Take note of that.
@Kienda It's 10€ in Steam, so I guess it'll be the same. Good price IMO.
Nice lookIng game, not sure about the Italian mafia stereotype but nice for those who like that sort of thing
Currently £3.28 on Steam. Usually £6.99. Let's hope for price parity, because it's a great game.
@JaxonH Having a different opinion on a post doesn't make it a controversial one.
@MsJubilee
Plenty of members have different opinions and no one cares. But when 95% of a person's posts cause controversy... that's the very definition of controvertial.
Looks good. Strange that it wasn't released on Wii U though. Doesn't look like it would take too much work to port it.
@JaxonH
Dude give it a rest,
Reminds me of metal slug gameplay, not a bad thing I guess, looks good though
@EDF
I'm not the one who headlined the comment section with the subject. Perhaps your comment is better directed at the other members. Or better yet, yourself for keeping it going.
@8-Bit_Zorldo
Apparently he needed defending before joining the conversation. I simply set the matter straight.
This looks very nice, it's got a great art style. The reviews are mixed on other platforms so hopefully they can iron out the kinks before it releases on Switch. It's a short game but then the price is low and there's multiplayer to give it some legs.
Well if this one is coming then Broforce, Super Time Force Ultra, Not a Hero will be coming too.
Looks kind of fun to play, but on the other hand it also looks like yet another game that seems to be made with Adobe Flash...
@crackafreeze I was going to say that, you've hit the nail right on the head. It very much reminds me of Metal Slug. No price has been set but it should be about $10 but we've seen a good few developers add on a Nintendo tax and hiked their prices a bit. It's $10 on XB1 and €10 on Steam, though at the moment they're having a 53% sale so it's €4.69 currently.
What's the deal with the performance. Looks like some Frame rate drops in that trailer.
Looks fun though
@JaxonH Pointing out a problem with Nintendo or the Switch isn't controversial. Just cause you don't like seeing those problems with your precious Nintendo does not give you the right to dump on Slig or anyone else for that matter.
But alas what can i say? This is a rabid fanbase so what do i know?
@MsJubilee
I can appreciate your willingness to give the benefit of the doubt. Truly. And I won't fault you for it. But sometimes, it's more about how you say something than what you say. It's the difference between someone saying "Hmm, not many games out I want to play, and I'm not really a portable gamer, don't think it's for me" and someone who says "Another port, ha! Can play all this already, oooh! major blow! This system is gonna fail so hard".
There is a difference. I did not form my opinions overnight. It took months of comments like that, months of other attention seeking behavior, before I formed a lasting opinion on the matter. I have no problem with someone conveying their personal thoughts on "my precious Nintendo" be they good or bad. What I do take issue with, is when those comments are intentionally and consistently made in an attempt to trigger others, and then usually defended behind the pretence of "a different opinion".
@dizzy_boy So your saying all he/she has time to do is complain and look up news? =P
its in my backlog of PS4 games , I got it on a super cheap sale price havent tried it yet
@JaxonH
Lol your the one keeping it going from yesterday, just go back and read your comments, and you still carry it on after your comment to me, we know who you are on about, yep give it a rest. I did used to like chatting with you, hmm did
@EDF
A small taste of what others feel every single day for the past year. Yup, just give it a rest already. Well put. You've suffered reading comments that annoy you all of 24 hrs. How do you think everyone else feels putting up with it for months on end.
And you finally said "enough", and you spoke out. After just 24 hrs. Ive had enough too, and I'm speaking out. But my patience of keeping silent was far longer than 24 hrs.
I own this on Xbox One and it is a fun game to play. Could be one worth buying for Switch too but that will depend heavily on its asking price.
The game looks like a pretty meh flash game, but dang, that is the best studio name I've ever heard of!
Looks like it could be great fun. It'll go nice next to Metal Slug on my Switch for Run'n gun.
@JaxonH
Like yourself, I have been reading comments many months now but I didn't care much about it but after having many great chats with you, I find this out of charachter for you or maybe this is you, afterall I remember you blowing up about MH, which was probably to be expected because of your passion for this game. Yep I didn't expect you to react to somebody's comments like this, though he isn't always right but he isn't always wrong either, i actually like the guy for many things, just like most ppl on here
@EDF
Admittedly, sometimes I get to a boiling point, and I feel like that's what happened recently. I just really, really dislike how he's front and center everywhere. Go to the forums, he spams news articles nonstop (not links, but full page articles one after another), interrupting any and all conversations without regard. News articles, says thanks to him. Comments below that, other people reminding everyone he sent it in. And that's before even getting to his own comments, which often are insulting and of the "na na na boo boo" variety. Always insulting those in the US, mocking others for paying more than he did for Splatoon, flaunting that we "got robbed". Parading as many faults as he can find with the system everyone else enjoys. Not to have a mature discussion, but to say "ha! your system sucks and Im so glad I dont own it, and let me rub that in day after day"
Believe it or not, I don't actually hate the man. I just really dislike the behavior. Perhaps it's best I use the ignore function, and save myself alot of aggravation and others such as yourself.
Smile, guys. Things at Nintendo are so much brighter than they were 12 months ago. Let's just let the things go which we can't control and enjoy the ride.

@MsJubilee @EDF Don't mind JaxonH. I don't think I've ever had any interaction with them until here:
https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2017/06/editorial_nintendo_switch_is_about_colour_fun_and_sharing_games_for_those_unsure_of_its_purpose
Got the right hump for daring to question them. Quite arrogant and rude too. So that was 10 days ago.
@JaxonH "This system is gonna fail so hard".
You've quoted me as saying that. Can you show me where I said that please?
"I just really, really dislike how he's front and center everywhere. Wow. Do you hear yourself? There's nothing wrong with posting stories. Most of which are in the Switch General Discussion thread. I'm sorry, I didn't realise I needed your permission before I could post. I only quote the story if it's short, otherwise it's just a headline and link, e.g.
https://www.nintendolife.com/forums/nintendo-switch/what_do_you_think_the_nx_is_poll?start=15840#reply-15857
I ask someone/anyone to show what I've done wrong in that thread?
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
Slig, you were saying Switch was gonna fail for MONTHS before launch. Only recently started changing your tune after continued success. And everyone here knows it, because we listed to it for months.
I'm not gonna dig in your comment history, because there's no need. Everyone here knows you were saying it constantly. The fact you would now lie about it doesn't surprise me. But I think my friend screencapped you, and if he did I'm gonna parade that and you now denying it so everyone can see, yet again, you say and do whatever serves your interest in the moment. Hope and pray I don't get ahold of that screencap.
But I won't be seeing your response, because after I hit reply I'm ignoring you.
@JaxonH Oh I still think ultimately Switch will not be a success. It'll do better than Wii U but I've always said that. Depending on different factors, e.g. price, 3rd party support, I can see Switch selling maybe 25-30 million units. Sort out the issues and maybe 50 million. There are people who said before launch and now say it'll do Wii like numbers. That's never going to happen. What's the definition of success or failure though? Gamecube sold 24 million and was considered a failure. So if Switch sells 30 million is it a success for selling double that of Wii U? Overall, yes it'll probably be a failure, way too early to tell yet.
I have this game on the PS4 and it's alot of fun especially with 3 other players. Glad that more people will be able to enjoy this great game.
Great news! I almost bought this on PS4 a couple weeks back. So glad I refrained. Everything is better on Switch
When I saw "zombies" in the caption, I was cautious.
But crap, after that trailer I NEED to see more.
@JaxonH @SLIGEACH_EIRE et al.
To be fair, I for one remember clearly how Sligo discredited the Switch prior to release even. On more than one occasion in fact, and it did not take long to find one (interestingly the one I remembered so vividly, because it was so clear in its conviction):
SLIGEACH_EIRE, Sun 15th Jan 2017
"I'm talking about the price, hardware specs, poor storage, poor battery life, expensive accessories, paltry launch day lineup, lack of third party games, terrible online arrangement. Charging full price for 1, 2 Switch when it should be a pack in.
Mark my words, frame this. Switch will fail. I called it with the Wii U before it launched and unfortunately I was right. I bought the Wii U day 1 and own nearly everything there is to own. Bought all the major games on launch day too. There is so much wrong with this. Nintendo haven't learned."
Now, some of this criticism right after the full reveal still holds some validity, but please remember people that we're arguing about the tone in which this doubt is presented (and this is quite poisonous and unnecessarily agressive and controversial really), and of course that now you deny ever saying that the system will fail (hard). But when you write "Mark my words. Frame it. Switch will fail.", this really does not come across as "Well, maybe it will do better than Wii U, but can this be considered a success?". Not by a long shot. And it's this general tone which is so irritating to many here. Don't you see any chance that you might consider maybe to voice your opinion more moderately, and not present it so much as fact? Believe it or not, I really think that many are in fact interested in your opinion, because it is clear that you're very passionate about all things Nintendo, but it would help us all, if you could maybe try a little more to actually phrase your opinions clearly as such, like Jaxon has also aleady suggested. A "Meh, that's just not for me" is really something else than "this is crap and shouldn't even exist"... The difference is that with one you not only voice your own opinion, but also don't disrespect people who have a different opinion at the same time... Can you guess which one that is?
BTW: While looking the quote up I came across this, which I'll just quote without comment for all of us to smile at...
SLIGEACH_EIRE, Wed 30th Nov 2016
"It's about time they think about what third parties want and not just themselves. Hopefully, it reflects in better ports, more of them and better sales."
Looks like metal slug = win
@Priceless_Spork None. Latinos have a sense of humor(well the normal ones) The people who would get offended by that are whites.
@JunkRabbit Post of the year right here.
@JunkRabbit
@JaxonH That is not true. I think you are paranoid or something.
Pointing out mishaps on Nintendo's decisions doesn't automatically discredits someone. And yes, SLIGEACH-EIRE has been very vocal about Nintendo mishaps, but I welcome its discussions as they are quite well informed.
@maceng
Pointing out mishaps doesn't, but surely lying point blank does.
A round of applause to @JunkRabbit btw.
Good stuff about the game, not all this pointless crap going on in the comment section.
@Priceless_Spork I don't think so highly of white people? What makes you say that? Cause i said something that's true? When something that looks offensive white people(not all of them only the insane ones) will be there saying it is?
Also it seems the word white offends you buttercup.Don't know why, it's just a word.
@JaxonH
@SLIGEACH_EIRE is pretty much the only person here actually willing to give any criticism to Nintendo on this site regularly. Someone has to do it.
I don't agree with 90% of what they say but this is supposed to be where you can share opinions, not bash someone before they can even get online to defend themselves. That's absurd. You might want to cut back on the all the anger bro. It's not like Nintendo did things perfectly with the Switch. Between the left joy con issues, the clunky base, and difficulties in even finding a Switch, it's not fair to say that they are going to have trouble down the line I'd they don't shape up.
I think right now they have the games, but they got to keep up the momentum. I think this year is okay, provided they can get us enough consoles to buy in the holiday season. I'm curious about 2018 though.
@JunkRabbit Am I missing something? I still think the Switch will be a failure overall. It's off to a great start in some respects but it's problems are still there. And 4 months is not a product's life cycle. So what's changed?
@everyone and anyone who can answer this question.
I have to ask what makes a console a success?
Can anyone answer. Because when I read up on the other consoles there is just as much negativity.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
Like I said, some of your crtiticism might indeed hold some validity still (while other points might not). And - as you point out - it's an opinion of course. JaxonH's and my point in this case (though we did go about communicating it differently), and the point of many others on this site is a different one however, and this not one of content, but one of tone, which - as I am sure you must be aware of by now - is a tad bit irritating to many people here, as it often not only voices your own opinion, but comes across needlessly harsh AND as attempting to state a fact, which in his combination can really implicitly disrespect others' opinions, intentional or not.
So yes, you might indeed be missing something (all this while), because examples are usually not the topic or point of a conversation but a tool to support a topic and bring a point across.
I guess what I've been trying to say is that your opinion is indeed your own, and you may or may not turn out to be right (concerning the example given), I am not disputing that, nor am I saying that you cannot criticize. But we all would benefit if you'd tried to do so in a manner that does not disrespect others' opinion at the same time, because that's how we feel oftentimes. I'm not even thinking that you do this on purpose, and I even believe that most people don't even realize that the discomfort they feel reading many of your comments comes from a feeling of disrespect. I didn't even realize this really myself before now, but the word just fell into place and clicked when I was writing my earlier post, and it immedeiately felt so right that I believe I might be onto something with this. And IF this is true there is really something you could do about it. If you want. Might it not be worth a try?
I'll gladly reiterate that I think many here are in fact interested in your opinion (you do contribute a lot to this community and that earns my respect), but would be much more inclined to accept it if it wasn't presented so much with sledgehammer semantics that leave little room for other opinions and suffocates them. Do you understand what I'm saying?
@Kalmaro
This is so far beyond having anything to do with "giving criticism". And it's baffling seeing people defend that as some kind of badge of honor which justifies constant whoring for attention and harassing and mocking and insulting people, and straight up lying.
My intention was not to bash, but clearly other people wanted to start defending him before he was online and I simply responded with my objective observations. If they are insulting observations then one has only themselves to blame for behaving in that manner.
@JaxonH You can't criticism people for defying him before he comes online when it was you bashing him before he got online that started all of this. He had nothing but positive stuff to say about the game that, need I remind you, he tipped this site off for in the first place.
You, my friend, are the one who brought in all of this negativity and started bringing up past events that had nothing to do with this article.
His criticisms and what not are just that. Whether or not he's lied about something is another issue, I don't follow all of his comments, I just notice he often offers criticisms and that seems to be the main issue you have with him.
What's really odd is that everyone is arguing about him saying the Switch will fail when that's just his opinion. We can't predict the future. I will agree, though, that his tone can be very abrasive.
@Kalmaro
People are arguing with him because just 12 hrs ago he did what he always does, he feigned ignorance and said "I never said Switch would fail, when did I say that, prove I said it" and junkrabbit pulled his post where he said is big bold letters Switch is gonna fail, hard Its the fact he sits here and lies about what he says. He was preaching doom and gloom for months before the system was even out, then as soon as it started doing well, he pretends like he never said anything?
That's the horse maneur I'm taking about. There's a difference between "criticizing Nintendo" and just being straight up ignorant in a desperate bid for attention. And most of his criticisms are (Mario Kart 8 a lazy port? It's got more new content and changes than 95% of ports out there). He takes it way beyond fair criticism and just straight up nitpicks every issue he can find, and even goes beyond that to fabricate issues to criticize, because that gets him attention.
And I'm sorry if I started this. I probably did. But I'm tired of people going out of their way to defend him, and the person who was defending him in the second comment needed to understand that sending this article in was not a sign of him being unbiased, but yet another sign of his constant hunger for attention.
Lots of people criticize Nintendo around here. Yet only one ppl have issue with
@JaxonH Wait, hold on. His exact words were,
"You've quoted me as saying that. Can you show me where I said that please?"
He never says he didn't make the claims, just asked for the quote. Even after that he never goes back in his word and still says he thinks the Switch will fail. So that means you are claiming he said the Switch would fail, feigned ignorance, but then still says the Switch will fail regardless.
Something about that sounds off.
In any case, just remember that the only reason anyone defended him was because you attacked him unprovoked. He did not speak to you first or comment on this page before you attacked him. That's a little unfair.
@Kalmaro
Hold up... are you seriously so biased in his favor you can't call a spade a spade?
What do you think he was doing when he said "show me where I said that". Hmm? He was denying it. You don't say "show me where I said that" if you're fessing up to something. That's denial. And he has a history of deleting posts then challenging people to find where he said something. It's happened time. And time. Again.
And after that he had no choice! I told him I was gonna post the screencap I took, and junkrabbit actually found one of his (many) posts. He had no choice but to then fess up. How can you not see that?
And I did not being the matter up. Top comment on the page brought it up. I simply set the matter straight. And please, stop acting like "poor old him wasn't online and was helpless". He's always online, and he did come out defending himself (though in vein, since I said nothing that everyone else can't see for themselves if they actually looked)
@JaxonH I'm saying that until you get the word from him directly, all you have are assumptions. I just don't see that as fair. I'm not saying that your assumption is Eve. Wrong, perhaps he was just feigning ignorance... Which would be silly as he's notorious for not liking the Switch, you can know for sure I less you ask.
Tne top comment on the page says:
Looks chaotic, violent, and fun. It's got my interest.
I. Not sure what you mean with the first comment bringing anything up. Nit only that, but his first Co. Mentioned was in response to someone else and they were agreeing that the game looks nice. Sleigh doesn't even get mentioned until comment #4.
You were the first one to start being negative,the Sliegh, I assume, ignored you to stay on topic.
That kinda looks like bullying on your part.
@Kalmaro
Why are you nitpicking? It was, excuse me, "one of" the top comments. Seriously guy, come on. And nitpicking his exact words? You'll have to excuse me, I must have mixed them up with his words from the last 5 times he's done this.
And it wasn't bullying. It wasn't even meant to offend. It was directed at one person and one person alone. But if the truth hurts, so be it. I spoke nothing false against anyone. I called a spade a spade. If I could have PM'd I would have, to avoid offending. But that's not possible.
And I can promise you, he did not ignore me to stay on topic. You clearly don't know this person like I do.
@JaxonH I'm just trying to stick with the facts, that's all I have to go on. I'll admit that I do not know this person's history at all, just his criticism that often are pretty heavy handed.
All I know is that Sliegh was not mentioned negatively until you showed up and then you began to attack his character. His first comment after was to praise the game for how it looked.
I think it's fair to say that you were in the wrong here. You act like you had no choice but to say what you did when, in reality, no one else made you say it in the first place. That was all you. From all appearances he just topped Nintendo Life about a game and then commented on the graphics. You can't just assume his intentions without asking him. I don't think you asked once why he uploaded the article, you've already convinced yourself that you know why. You also can't say you spoke nothing false because you never bothered to find what was true to begin with.
@Kalmaro
I do know why. Even if you don't. I see the pattern, and have seen it for months, year even. The common denominator in all of it, is attention. First, his thing was rushing to post first, on every article. People called him out for it. Then it became constant criticism (some valid, but only by convenience, and that wasn't enough so he turned to invalid criticism). Then it became sending articles in, and when his name wasn't credited he'd throw a fit in the comments and toot his own horn, proclaiming to the world it was he who sent in said article. Then it became spamming articles in forum conversations, page after page after page...
I mean, even one of the above is enough to question, but all combined? It's pretty clear cut and obvious.
I will concede I was wrong to speak out. But I'm not wrong about him.
@JaxonH You quoted me as saying the Switch will fail "hard". I've not said that. I said it will fail ultimately. There's a difference between ultimately failing and being a complete disaster. It's not a complete disaster. It's off to a great start in the first few months but it has to last 5 or 6 years. I don't think it will last the distance.
And you're lying again. There was a problem with sending in stories to the site. The admin weren't aware of this, I pointed it out that they were being sent in, but they said they were not being received on their end. So they did a bit of experimenting and me sending in test stories. End result, it now works perfectly.
Looks awesome!!
@Kalmaro I can confirm the claim that @JaxonH has made: SLIGEACH_EIRE has deleted comments and then called me a liar for referring to them. He even once linked to a comment thread to try to prove to a third person that there was no such comment in it. Of course, one can ask how someone can remember and quote a thread if he never said anything in the first place...
@PanurgeJr Be that as it may (and that is distressing news if true), my main concern was the attacking of SLIGEACH before he even got to the page.
