Posted by Orla Madden

Two new 3DS big-hitters get dated for the US

We love days like today, when Nintendo springs upcoming release dates on us and we all have to think of how far we're going to have to dig into our pockets for some cash.

You'll have to update your purchase plans - again - as Brain Age: Concentration Training (also known as Dr Kawashima's Devilish Brain Training: Can You Stay Focused? in Europe) and Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed have both been given launch dates for the US.

Brain Age: Concentration Training will mind-boggle its way onto 3DS on 10th February, while Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed will speed onto the handheld two days later on 12th February.

Will you be testing your brain skills in the latest addition to the Brain Age series, or will you race it out with friends to the top of the podium with Sonic and co.? Let us know!

I wonder if the 3DS version of Sonic will be as good as the WiiU version. I fear the worst myself...

I'm most excited to get the FEA and Brain Age StreetPass Puzzles... Is that sad?

I've been playing Sonic & ASR Transformed on my 360 since buying it a week or so ago, and I have to say I am completely and utterly addicted to it. It pretty much blows Mario Kart 7 out of the water in every single way.

If the 3DS version offers a comparable experience to the console versions, then I may be tempted to pick it up.

Really worried about SasRT. Barely any footage of it, barely any previews, barely anyone talking about it.

I wonder if they'll even live up to the promise of a 3DS exclusive character.

I hear you. The 3DS version of Sonic Generations made me feel empty inside. So did the DS version of Sonic Colors. I'm probably gonna ignore most of Sega's handheld ports from now on.

I'm actually hoping sonic isn't that good. I've already got 6 games in mind for the 3ds in the next 3-5 months. Not sure if I can afford another game. Plus potential eshop games. I'm loving my 3ds though. This is the year to own one. Still say a Zelda will come out by CHRISTmas!

The 3DS version can be no worse than the original wii game and that was good, it should be graphically the same anyway

@Hipster-Dashie it's not that hard. Mario Kart 7 is the most shallow and has the worst circuit designs since, well, ever in th saga.

I just played it 10:40 hours. Enough to win all cups with at least one star. What a dissapointment

Sonic Colours DS was an individual handheld experience comparable to the Rush and Advances series of Sonic. It was very good. Anyway, I think the 3DS version of ASRT is going to be a mere port of the Wii U game. Still, I used to own both the DS and Wii versions of the first game so if I see it in budget.....Also, why is Nintendo's Brain 3DS game have a far superior name in the NA than the European one?

Before I begin I'll represent a classic Sega fanboy:
0_0 0_0 Don't get me wrong I love Sonic games but I hate hearing fanboys blowup and the average gamer say the 3ds version "has me worried". the 3ds version we be great mark my words. 1-17-13......... I SAID MARK THEM!

Ha ha true, but you know what I mean. I don't think I've found any single player Mario Kart to be enjoyable as Sonic ASR Transformed's World Tour mode, and I haven't even tried the Grand Prix and Multiplayer modes yet. I am having an incredibly tough time trying to S-Rank all the missions, at least they're all great fun!

Except Traffic Attack missions. Whoever created those needs to be burned alive.
