Maybe its time to take Dragon Quest X into your own hands Nintendo and publish it on Wii-U. You wanna sell some systems don't ya? Cause Dragon Quest x would do just that. It really would be a system seller game. But you guys don't see it I guess.

@c1pher_c0mplet I also love these type of games but if there is no online co-op I will more than likely pass up this game. Really not just because of no online play but the fact that I have a huge Backlog of games. Online play would be the kixcker though and move this game right to the top of that backlog.

@c1pher_c0mplet I'm just sad that they cancelled it and that they feel they need to police a chat program. Its sick what some people did and I don't doubt that those things happened because people can be sick and demented. I do think Nintendo was looking for an easy out on the program and they got it because of a few sick people. I miss it and loved checking it every day for messages from friends. People have to be some kind of stupid these days posting and sending nudie pictures of themselves . it seems to always come back to haunt. Don't do it. **shakes finger**

@KnightRider666 I finally downloaded Retro City Rampage being cheap and waiting for a huge sale which it got this week. I gotta say. WHAT A GREAT GAME! Now that I have it and have played it a couple hours I would actually have no problems paying full price. But I'm glad I got it as cheap as I did. I'm not into GTA type games but Retro City Rampage is indeed a Gem. If anyone has been on the fence about Retro City Rampage now is the time at 4.99 its a steal

@FeedingTheWheel I agree. One thing I don't get. If a game isn't selling in Eshop like say WRC Rally racing 34.99 (3.99 on PSN market and Android market) you would think pricing it right would sell copies. I bought the Android version and it actually a decent rally racer. Just sacked price. They will not sell 100 copies of WRC racing at that price I guarantee it. Lower the price idiots.

@KnightRider666 I think the ship has sailed on the VC bud. Of course it could be fixed and quickly but its obvious VC is not a priority for Ninty right now. What a shame. I'm really into the 3d classics and that ship will sail when Sega stops making 3d classics.

@MadAdam81 I don't buy the over abuse for 1 second. I had 25 people on my friends list most of which were people over 30 years old. Not one message was abuse in the time we used it. I think Nintendo was starting up MiiVerse and didn't want to have to pay for 2 Servers so they were just being cheap in my opinion and Used abuse to get out of swapnote. Besides swapnote was a friendslist chat program.

I just Youtubed Stone Shire and it looks pretty good. Doesn't seem to be any different from any other Minecraft Games. Talk about a game which snuck up on Wii-U. Under the radar.

@PikaNick I was so mad at the cancelation of swapnote. In fact I would rather still have that than MiiVerse which to me has always been kinda lame. It was nice to take pics in games and send them to just people on friends list not the whole world. I just get this feeling Nintendo doesn't want us gaming with our real life friends online. So weird the way they operate.

@JaxonH Dude! You have an excellent passion for the gaming. I like it. As I've gotten older myself I get cheaper and try to save a buck here and a buck there. However I do have a couple Genres which I buy day 1. I'm a sucker for pretty much any RPG's. Keep up the passion ;)

I very rarely use it as is. If it bums out the masses I hate to see that. Its junk. It doesn't allow private messaging with buddies and allows for no privacy at all. Sometimes you just want a message to just go to a few friends not the whole world.

Seems like an aweful amount of trouble just to save some money. I would rather keep my system up to date and running by paying and making sure the future of the system is intact and doesn't suffer a death like the Dreamcast did. One of my favorite systems died way before its time due to the piracy **sadface**

@Deadeyerobbie I feel about the same way. I bought all the Level 5 games on 3DS at full price and was very happy with every purchase. I even bought the level 5 soccer game (which is awesome BTW) at full price. I say if you get good entertainment out of what you bought for what you paid, its all good. I hope they will fix this dicrepancy between the Eshop and Android markets though. It drives me nuts.

@Ristar42 thanks for that Info Ristar I didn't know that. I'm going to still pass the game up until it gets a sale of at least 50%. Besides I bought the android version. Its actually a very good game after getting into the android version. I would love to play it on my 3DS with those gamepad Controls and 3d effects but will wait till its at least 14.99. I would still be willing to pay 14.99 even though I see it in the android market for 3.99. Playing on the more comfortable gamepad and getting the 3d effects would be worth 14.99 to me. I also wouldn't mind if it dropped to 10 bucks lol

It sounds like a racket to me. Why not just go like the Apple and Android market? Parents seem to have no issues at all letting their kids play on those platforms. Those also seem to be platforms of choice just recently. A game programmer just writes and uploads the game to those markets. How hard is that? Its definitely the Wild west in those markets as far as safety goes for your kids. But the facts are more people are downloading there, than here in the Eshop

Windy commented on Editorial: The eShop's Pricing Dilemma is the ...:

I kind of Disagree that consumers should take any blame at all with these pricing models which were started by publishers. No reason for consumers to take any blame. Now just recently WRC Rally racing released on 3DS in the Eshop for 34.99. I run across the exact same game in the Android market for 3.99. This difference in pricing is absolutely rediculous. One Market gets it dirt cheap and the next market gets it at rddicously high price because projected sales are not going to be that great. This has been driving me nuts since Angry Birds. At least angry birds was on Cartridge. WRC Racing is download only I believe. There is a difference in getting a game on cartridge and downloading a game I don't care what anyone says. If WRC had a cartridge release I can see 34.99 but download only the game in my opinion should be about half that price at least. Doesn't that make sense at all? No cartridge, no boxes, no need to manufacturer other than programming and uploading should equal cheaper games. Am I wrong here? To me its very greedy to be putting up a game for download at its retail price. I have generally been very happy with my Eshop purchases but if a game goes retail and also has a download I'm buying retail. If its download only that's where I decide if I'm buying or not. Unfortunately for WRC racing I'm not paying 34.99 when I see it in the android market for 3.99. I don't think it will sell 3,000 copies at that price. So too sell more copies wouldn't lowering the price achieve that? Or will the publisher just let their game rot in the Eshop at the higher price by being stubborn? I'm sorry but in this case of WRC racing the pricing is just wrong.

Cracks me up at how many people say "who cares!" But if this gets released it will be Nexis games who gets the last laugh. This game will fly off the Eshop. Just my prediction. I'm not a big fan of Minecraft. In fact I never played a version until I recently bought Cube Creator. Guess what? I find myself enjoying Cube Creator alot. I really think a Wii-U version needs online play though. I say Good Luck Nexis Games. Games get delayed all the time. Personally I think Nintendo should make a version of their own and call it Nintendo Craft using all their Franchised characters and Monsters. Now how cool might that be?

I was so glad to hear about Dragon Quest VIII coming to 3DS. I hope it gets ported. I have some mixed feelings about Square. They have pretty much moved into smart phones with a bang and seem to be doing pretty well. It wouldn't surprise me if sometime in the next year they follow Konami and Sega to the Greener Pastures of smart phones and Tablets. Or so they think its greener pastures. I'm worried about them doing this and it would be a huge console loss.

Well I guess we will probably see all those PCEngine games Konami owns the Rights too on smart Phones. Gosh I just hate the thought of that. Konami should have been busting out the VC games. This is terrible news but these guys gotta go with the money we know that. The future of console gaming gets more clouded everyday.

ThunderBlade for me. I wish someone would take the 3DS and make a full sized open world Xenoblade type of game. Would also be nice if they would port Dragon Quest X on 3DS and Wii-U. Funny things seem to be happening at Nintendo these days. Let's see what happens next.

I gotta think there is something to this. Executives don't joke about their job status. Although Nintendo is different beast as with other companies execs usually have no sense of humor at all where Nintendo seems to have plenty of humor at times. Give it a few days to blow over. Or hold true.

I almost bought one of these years ago. Then I went and looked at how much importing the games would have cost me. It would have been a small fortune to import not only the system but the games too. I had gone through importing a bunch of PCEngine games and didn't want to do that again. Every game was 100.00 dollars to import good or bad game. This kind of ended my collecting days. How times have changed in gaming. Some good changes and some bad. I would have never imagined an Apple IPad or Android type of tablet to game on where most of the gaming is free and very few titles cost over 5.00 dollars. There can be a nasty little catch to those free to play games with in game purchases which in my opinion makes this type gaming ugly. I love owning a system, having a controller and owning the cartridge or CDROM the games are on. Sometimes I wish I had bought the pcefx

Holy Cow! When will they finally ship Dragon Quest X over to North America and Europe. I have been saying for the last couple of years its a system seller! It would be over here as well. Xenoblade is also a system seller. Gosh by the time they get the game over here the servers might be just about ready to shut down. Puzzle Dragons is a great game too. I play it on my android tablet. I probably will get it at some point. Its nice to see the Wii-U take the top spot for a change. See what happens when good games come out.

Sega, Konami and Hudson all gone! Console gaming is dangling by a thread. I have a feeling this merger with DENA and Nintendo will wind up being something less than desirable. I hope not but we will see. Don't forget Zelda Cancelled for this year. Things are not going in Wii-U owners direction.

Well say goodbye to all those Hudson soft titles which Konami owns. That just sucks! I hope Konami will give Nintendo or Sega a Shot at buying the rights to those titles. Oh wait Sega is doing the same thing as Konami. I hope Konami will sell those rights to Nintendo. Video gaming on consoles is dangling by a thread. It just looks like console gaming is going toward Indie gaming and Kickstarter to keep itself afloat.
