Windy commented on Talking Point: Amazon Fire TV is an Early Warn...:

1 word GAMES. Which system is getting the best and the most. I don't think its going to be Nintendo. Nintendo has alienated itself from quite a few major players. You can cry about it but EA is one of them. If it was obvious that Fire TV was getting all the games people would flock to it. Games are what make thee system and well....The Wii-U isn't Cutting it.

Well its been a while since a good EA bashing. Let it begin. Personally I hope EA will bring something to the table we can use all the help we can get especially on Wii-U cause it feels like a sinking ship

Windy commented on Sea Battle Will Bring Battleships to DSiWare:

This is great news for people who still use DSi and haven't moved on to a 3ds or Vita. The DS is still a great system to play and I'm sure there are still a lot of peeps who have not moved on. its a shame they are shutting down online co-op gaming for DS and Wii which I have thought is a huge mistake. Maybe some companies can keep online gaming alive on those systems by using their own servers. Heck some games would only require just a PC to run as a server. in fact most games on DS would only require that.

Windy commented on Vita Overtakes 3DS in Tough Week for Japanese ...:

@Darknyht I totally agree with what you said. I think. the decisions made by Nintendo on what you have stated have kind of pushed gamers and Nintendo apart. Nintendo has kind of alienated itself from what seems to be most of the world. If it didn't have the absolutely huge following it did from the NES and SNES days they would have been just ruined. The 3DS and DS kicking butt helped also.

Windy commented on Vita Overtakes 3DS in Tough Week for Japanese ...:

I just think the worldwide economy effects everything when times get tough videogames and things like it get pushed to the back of the line. I'm having a tough time right now myself and usually buy at least 1 game a month. I'm lookin at buying only 2 games the rest of the year (Tomadachi LIFE and Monster Hunter 4). At least the 2 games I'm planning to buy look to have a long life span. I also think gamers are looking that way too. does a game have a long lifespan?

If this had come out earlier I probably would have picked it up. but I just have so much Backlogged now. I only plan to pick up 2 more games this year and alas this one goes to my waste side. This is one of those games that you will never see on sale anywhere so waiting for a price drop will be a waste of time. Maybe if it gets a price drop on the Eshop I will pick up but I don't think they will drop it enough for me to pick up. I just have to much to play and with the surprise announcement of Tomadachi Life it really just turned out to be a bad time at least for me. Mario Golf also fell off my Radar and I was excited for it over a year ago.

Windy commented on Nintendo Titles Struggle for a Presence in UK ...:

If Nintendo didn't keep European and UK gamers guessing whether certain gams were coming this probably wouldn't be happening. I SAY worldwide release on everything to fix this. That could mean all Digital though. I think all digital with Fremium service is well on the way for Nintendo. I just hope its not too soon

Windy commented on First Impressions: Tomodachi Life:

@Pichubby its straight up an RPG the townspeople and the characters give you quests to retrieve items from various dungeons. its an action RPG real time and open world. it also has some animal Crossing with a bit of Harvest moon, together that blend is just awesome

I can't wait for this I'm throwing all my Friends from my Friends list into the game. BTW I gotta throw this out there.I've been playing Disneys Magical world and for those older gamers shaking there heads that the game is for kids. well It has plenty offer for older gamers too. I'm 48 years old and loving the game and the online connectivity is pretty cool. it could have been better but its still a blast with what they did. Don't let the kiddie looks fool you Disneys Magical Kingdom is a very cool open world RPG. it may even be the best open world RPG on the 3ds.

@bluecat Yes you can wear any of the clothing you make. I um put on a MiniMouse dress but don't tell anyone OK lol. No restrictions on Disney either. Great game BTW. a lot like Animal crossing but also throw in a bit of Harvest moon.

@bluecat I don't think they are gender locked I will look for you in a bit. I was able to make dresses in the game but I didn't try them on :) I guess I will try one on for you in a bit. I would say because they are in my inventory I can try them on. Give me about an hour I will check if it is so. the game is so darn good. I was really surprised its surpassed what I was thinking it would be. I almost canceled getting it.

Windy commented on Review: Pure Chess (3DS eShop):

I really felt at the price point they were asking more Boards should have been included instead of some Priced DLC boards to download. That's why I skipped the game. But Mario Golf also will have DLC. 34.99 with DLC hmm my argument doesn't really work does it? I was excited about Mario Golf but will now pass on it because of the DLC. I'm really hating the new standard in this DLC garbage. I think its a matter of time before we see these outrageous DLC prices from Nintendo also. I'm talking about games where they have 199.00 packages to download extra content. Right now its pretty low in price. But for retail games at 34.99 or 39.99 I don't think it should be there at all. then there is this chess game with a decent price point to begin with. I still don't like the DLC

also based on the screenshots from above there is no difference in the game. Why didn't they show your character fishing if they added it to the game? That fishing picture above is the same as the US version. that's a significant change why not showcase it with a screenshot. Maybe they just forgot. shakes head

Its a pretty fun game. I liked the North American version. If your expecting a Harvest Moon type game though this is not it. This is pretty much something different. hmmm.....If you ever played world of Warcraft and went into a storyline dungeon that's kinda how this how this whole game plays like. Its Frantic shop keeping with a huge and I do mean huge amount of storyline cutscenes. I do believe you can open up back story on every single character in your town. its enjoyable but don't expect harvest moon or you might be let down a bit.

@Falco I agree with you. I'm going to pass now on Mario Golf. To buy a retail game and then have to pay for additional content. it just feels like you got shorted somewhere. 39.99 + more for additional content. its the way gaming is headed. not just Nintendo. its either climb aboard or jump ship.

I got the call today from GameStop that they would have this in on Friday morning. I'm going to roll the dice and hope I can like it. I have a close friend of mine getting it too so we can try out the streetpass. I'm sure it will be fun. I was hoping for a online co-op extravaganza.

Wouldn't it be sweet if they made a game that was just Disneyland or Disney World that was online and you could join people on your friends list in real time and go on rides and just walk around the park? we can only dream about that one.

That seriously looks cool. I'm not a huge fan of soccer but do like the soccer(football) games. I didn't think I would like Inazuma Eleven and after a rocky start got hooked. I guess in a way this would be a lot like Inazuma Eleven anyway. If this makes it west I'm buying :) I like that type of 3d somebody should use it as a blueprint for other sports games.

Windy commented on Review: Rusty's Real Deal Baseball (3DS eShop):

Yup they should have made a real Baseball game. Still waiting for a real full fledged Baseball game in 3d instead of Spongebobs and Rusty's. Deleted Rusty's after the underhand Pitched batting Practice. However I wish all the Baseball games would go back to the batting mechanic used in Rustys. A real full fledged Hockey game would be nice too instead of the 30 year old Nes hockey.

Windy commented on GameSpy Shutting Down All Online Servers on 31...:

One of the reasons I picked up a DS years ago was I read a statement in a gaming magazine that the games that had online capabilities would always be available to play.. that the way Nintendo had set it up would ensure those games would always be available. I had always assumed that it must have been a direct connection using those friend codes. Oh well I will miss an Occasional romp through Phantasy Star Zero on DS. Still to this day the best online Multiplayer RPG for any Handheld. Sad indeed

I had this game in my hands several times at GameStop. but, then all the comments from other reviews starting filtering through my head. this review just solidifies what others have said about the game. I guess it just stinks......and its not your run of the mill kind of stink. I was lucky enough to put it back each time.

I would like to see more gameplay footage on this title. its like a big secret. why is that? If its a great game why haven't we seen any gameplay video? usually titles that don't show the game off before release end up being pretty lame.

After downloading the worst driving game I've ever played in my life (Race to the Line) it might be a while before I download another game again. however that Air Traffic Control game looks neat. I will wait and get some player reviews on that.
