Topic: Downloadable Wii Games

Select Wii games will be downloaded on Wii U, such as Metroid Prime Trilogy, Super Mario Galaxy 2, and Punch-Out Wii.

this kinda burns me because i just bought metroid prime trilogy recently, and had a gut feeling i should have waited

I hoped they would also announce Gamepad controls for Wii mode and icon shortcuts for Wii mode titles. But they're still going for the easy profits.

I just bought Skyward Sword yesterday on eBay and it wasn't cheap... Hoping for Xenoblade and Fire Emblem

I'm inclined to get Metroid Prime: Trilogy again, but it would be nice if you could transfer save data from Wii Mode into the games.

I only wish they updated all the games with Gamepad controls. Let me touch the screen to pick up star bits in Galaxy 2 or aim with the right stick in Prime Trilogy...

I'm more interested in the pricing.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy is the biggest plus side to this so far. I understand that game is stupidly rare and expensive.

Only way I could consider is if all of them were available to play with Gamepad/Pro Controller as input.

Yeah I look forward to hearing how Galaxy 2 looks,it's not been that long since I played it though.Looking forward to playing Punch Out finally though.Metroid Trilogy at that price digitally has to be one of the greatest gaming bargains ever.I'm not in no rush to play through the 3rd again but it's been years since I finished Prime on the Gamecube (never really got into 2) and just to have it there on the Wii U menu to jump into at anytime is fantastic!

the copy i got new was $90, on the cheaper end of the spectrum but still rather high.

Will Wii VC games be available right away? I can't remember what they said as I got busy during that particular part of the Nintendo Direct.

For the US they didn't reveal the price? Europe will have them at 20€ each with a 50% launch promotion. Hope you guys will get a similar offer and maybe a better price (seriously, Trilogy for that price is a steal, but Super mario Galaxy 2 is still easy to find in stores around 20€ ^_^; ).

I'm in for prime trilogy. Playing prime 1 again on the gamepad screen will be heaven. It might even stop me from buying one of those gorgeous new n3ds xl bundles.

We got the 50% launch week promotion. So, that'll most likely convert to $20? I'm ok with that.

EU is 20€, JP is ¥2,500. Count on $20-25 for NA.
