So who is the other M?

sometimes it's hard to remember that this game is presented like an anime, and that nothing is supposed to make sense.

i beat the forklift boss on hard tonight, and the blades on the front do in fact kill with one hit. not only that, but the auto aim was really failing me and a lot of my hard earned charge shots would miss. i'm just going to recommend not playing on hard, since it pushes faults with the controls you didn't notice before right in your face... and i want so much to pick up a shiny container at this point it's crazy.

It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

JGMR

Yeah, that was an amazing piece of art, haha Ridley never looked any better, in fact quite terrifying compared to his earlier appearances...

His 'tail-attack' reminiscent from Super Metroid was a very nice detail!

I didn't want to have to do this, however I don't wanna get frustrated by the game so much that I start to dislike it, so my best bet is to just ask for help here.

Essentially I am 3 pick-ups from 100% and I'm just honestly not sure how to get them, I'll try to explain which ones they are to best facilitate possible help.

Sector 1 - On the far right side of the map there is a square shaped room just south of a navigation room. There is a pickup in this room that is on a ledge that has a door to it, I however can't find the entrance to the other side of the door and due to the invisible walls I can't just space jump to it.

Sector 3 - The one in Sector 3 which I cannot reach is in the room in the top left of the map which is right of a navigation room (the navigational room doesn't have anything leading out of it in the other direction, so as to not confuse you with the one just lower). In this room I have already found the missle expansion that requires you to fire a super missle at the floor on the ramp; I however cannot find the one that is (on the map) above or belove the door to the navigation room.

Bioweapon Research Center - This should be the easiest to explain as there are only 3 pick-ups in this section. In the room towards the north side of the map where there are 2 pick-ups in the one room, I cannot work out how to get the missle expansion which is behind the window in the upstairs area of the room. I have already got the one that is downstairs in the same room however the one upstairs that you can see through the glass that has similar (though empty) compartments next to it that seem to be connected with morph ball spaces just eludes me.

I hope I wrote it easily enough for understanding and sorry about the wall of text.
Also, Metroid: Other M FTW!

This week, I 'ave been mostly...IV breeding.

supermegaman, let's just say you can use the speed booster in that room.

I already tried that, but I still cant get into the middle of the room... do I have to shinespark to the outside of the room?

Sector 1) I think I know what you're talking about. go into to the room that has the big road with a yellow line on the left side (should be conected to the room with the missle tank. run all the way to the end of that road. Now run up the road following the yellow line so your speed booster activates. Keep running and you should plow through a wall leading to a sercret passage. keep going and you should get to the missle pack

Sector 3) See those fireflies on the side in a box? Well go into to there and there is a morph ball hole to follow which should lead you to the health part.

Bioreasearch) In that same room there is a hologram (I think up the stairs in the room.) Enter from the back side and kick climb up it. There should be a morph ball hole that leads you to the missle extenstion.

Thanks a bunch Ballkirby! I was going about the Sector 1 and 3 ones the right way but always managing to avoid what I actually had to do it seems, as I tried using morph ball in the firefly 'box' but only against the wrong wall xD Well as I say thanks for the help!

Also Supermegaman, use the Speed Booster round the center of the room (as its a room that rotates so you just hold one direction) then shinespark to the top, and depending on how close you are to it, Space Jump to the pick-up.

I just finished this game through, but only on a 46% rate. Will definitely try it again. The game rules, and the title is clever: the other metroids, the other mother, the other MB through this script - Brilliant story, excellent game.

1 thing though, I have yet to try: I've saved adams helmet to the point where I got to see the completion rate, but is it now impossible to use this save game to get a complete percentage point? Since some areas just are blocked, maybe there are some 1 chance only pickups? Or I blew up too much of this stuff already ?

@erv I believe you should be fine as I think in general (lets ignore Prime scans for the sake of this) Metroid as a series lets you get all things and doesn't force you to play through again fully just for the sake of one or two pick-ups.
I actually got a lower % rate I believe and I have since gone back and 100%'ed it, so you should be A-ok

Anthony was great though, I love him and how he survives, but I couldnt quite make out what he said in his dialouge with big nose (who is that guy anyway?), something about them missing eachother?

He said (paraphrasing here) they got there fast. If he hadn't activated the brakes on the Bottle Ship (clearing up a loose thread of the story), they might have missed each other.

Wow the ending was great. So freaking glad Anthony lived!

But wow, I love how you now go back and can get all this stuffers. Bravo Nintendo, one of your best games yet

Little disappointed I didn't get my epic boss fight with Mother Brain in a giant liquid tank.

but maybe that comes later as it doesn't look like the game really ends after the credits roll

There can only be one, like in that foreign movie where there could only be one, and in the end there is only one dude left, because that was the point.

I just beat the game today, and I got a 55% completion rate, so getting the rest of the pick-ups should be fun. I really did like how they brought back Nightmare and Phantoon. Regarding the story, it was all pretty good, but I still don't understand the ending all that well. Why and what is that general dude doing with all those soldiers at the end?

Yeah, I ended up going through that giant cutscene a third time just to hear what he said (with subtitles)

@erv: You are able to grab every pick-up in the game, even after you've finished the story (I only got 100% after I had already saved Adam's helmet)...

Wait, so how did Anthony save himself? He fell onto one of the frozen lava monsters and then what? The world may never know.

hard mode, day 4. my god, this guy will piss you off:
Untitled
the elevator sequence leading up to him is hard enough even though it's just normal space pirates. then this guy will kill you and you have to do it all over again. on the plus side, i learned a lot of ways to deal with him i didn't know before; freeze his tentacles with a few charge shots, then when his eye turns red and starts charging up, blast it with a missile. it leaves him open for a lethal strike. wish i had known that a few hours ago.

also, found a picture of this guy:
Untitled
he almost looks like a toy in his other m version.
