Topic: Nintendo Week!

I'm on Comcast and also have a dreadful time streaming Nintendo Week. It mostly doesn't work. Purchases from the Shopping Channel download fairly quickly. I also stream netflix on the Wii relatively flawlessly. But I do not think it is Comcast shaping Nintendo's traffic. There are bigger fish that pose a threat to Comcast than Nintendo (Netflix, for one example). Rather, I think it is Nintendo's backend streaming servers completely blow. And like mentioned, the video player seems to hardly do any buffering at all. Quite pathetic.

Thanks, TTGlider. I can't say the shop is very fast for me. I updated the Netflix client a few days ago and it took almost forever to download (in the middle of the night). The Wii screensaver mode kicked in long before it finished. And the client is only 60 blocks x 128 KB/block = 7680 KB.

I never have a problem watching Nintendo Week.

So who's the new co-host now that Allison is gone?

So where can you watch it in Australia, is it on TV or online or what?

I was hoping they'd introduce a new cute co-host, but they just promoted Dark Gary to full-time co-host. How disappointing!

Unfortunately, Nintendo Week is NA exclusive, but I'm sure you could find it on YouTube without much trouble.

Actually, I really enjoy Dark Gary's antics and, to be honest, I found Allison Whitney to be somewhat disingenuous at times.

I still watch it every week. It really took me by surprise when Alison announced it was her last episode, but at the same time, the moment she addressed everyone and said she had something to say, I somehow knew she was leaving. It's too bad. Nintendo Week was clearly the classiest thing she's ever done. Maybe the publicity she got nabbed her a job somewhere else.

Yeah the episode was kind of off a little and I love Dark Gary, the problem is that he's great when theres someone to work off of and Alison is better for that. Maybe they will bring in the dark haired girl on a regular basis that they bring in from time to time for 4 player games, etc. She not as good though so maybe they are in the process of casting someone?

I used to but got tired of the video stopping constantly. I have it set to the lower quality and I've tried the Wifi and the LAN adapter and also have 30 gig internet speed. I don't have that problem with Huku Plus. Anyone else have this problem?

hey stevew and others having issues, I had this lag problem after I switched to at&t internet. Like most problems I have with their internet, the problem seems to have been solved by going into my advanced internet settings on the Wii and changing the DNS numbers to 4.2.2.2 or you could use google's public DNS numbers too.

They tried out a new co-host last week, but this week it was back to Gary/Dark Gary. I wasn't that impressed by her though, hope they keep trying out new girls.

I agree that nintendo week is cheesy but it has its moments too. Some of the tips they give are pretty good,I will miss allison though but I guess dark gary makes up for it.

I have ASTOUND Cable Broadband and have the same exact problem. How does the Nintendo community get Nintendo to fix this problem. Also, we need a hot replacement for Alison Whitney. If Nintendo's backend servers completely blow, we are SOOL. Mr. Iwata San, we need some help.
