According to an interview, they had to simplify the animation models for performance reasons. So they removed the ankle joint (and therefore the feet).

I've read the rumors that the Wii U has a big holiday coming up but so do Sony and Microsoft. My gut feeling is Nintendo is going to have a very hard time meeting those Wii U projections. But they know infinitely more about their business than I do.

The only idiots in this discussion are the ones saying other people are playing the game wrong. That includes people on either side of the casual/classic fence.

I'm playing Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon. The game is cute but I hate the controls. Using the circle pad, shoulder buttons, and face buttons simultaneously while trying to hold the 3DS is murder on my hands. Definitely not a game I can play for very long each day.

Download day 1. Waiting through the month of May is going to be a pain in the garbanzo. I need a time machine.

I sure wish the disc drive in my Wii hadn't broken. It lived long enough to play Xenoblade but was dead before The Last Story and Pandora's Tower were released.

Fire Emblem Awakening: Greatest Game of the Forever. I've also bought Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon (and played the first mission) but I'm going to wait until I finish Fire Emblem before continuing. One epic game at a time.

Is it just my imagination or is the icon for the Nintendo Show 3D (with Jessie Cantrell) gone from the 3DS eShop? Or is it normal for the show icon to disappear and reappear later when there is an update? I'm a 3DS noob so I don't know these things.

I recently bought a 3DS XL and have eShopped the following games: Fire Emblem Awakening, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and Mario's Picross. I qualified for the XL promotion so I got Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask from the eShop for free.

I won't consider buying a Wii U until customers can transfer their eShop games to a new console themselves (like we can with the 3DS), without having to send the console to Nintendo. Having to send the console to Nintendo to transfer licenses is industry-trailing B.S.

3DS noob here. Are those purple pieces given out only once? If you miss them (like by not buying a 3DS until about 2 weeks ago), is Streetpassing someone who already has them the only way to get purple pieces you've missed? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Fire Emblem Awakening. I finally figured out how to complete Chapter 11 after failing for days. I feel like I'm finally learning how to play this game. I don't want any spoilers (strategy or story) so I stay away from FEA forum threads.

Games won't be enough for me. This system has a laundry list of annoying little problems which add up to enough to prevent me from purchasing it.

Fire Emblem: Awakening was the first game I bought for my new 3DS XL. I got it from the eShop because I don't like futzing with cartridges and I only buy games I know I'll want to replay in the future (so I don't sell them). I've played through Dragon Quest IX on my old DS Lite at least three times (maybe four). Same for Rune Factory 3. Worth buying, worth keeping (and vice versa).

I actually liked the Barrel of Monkeys toy as a kid (where you build a chain of monkeys by holding on to only the top of the chain).

Like others above, I don't buy EA games. As long as Nintendo doesn't make any exclusive deals with EA, I'm fine with whatever they want to do. I'll just ignore it.

I think it's a very good ad. But then I despise 99% of advertising so maybe I have "bad" taste in ads. This is my kind of ad.

The last ad campaign I can remember really, really liking was the Volkswagen "It's time to unpimp the auto" ads. When I was fast-forwarding through ads on the DVR I'd spot one of those and back up and watch it. Then rewind and watch it again. And again.

Pachter is the clown prince of insane Nintendo speculation. No one should try to dethrone him. Failing at such an endeavor is humiliating (second only to succeeding).
