I loved Kirby's Epic Yarn and I've almost never had a chance to experience the classic Kirby games (I played one on the GBA a while back but only a few levels). Hopefully it releases this year :3
Still not got KEY thanks to being a lowly European but that new Kirby game look a lot of fun.I'd prefer it on the 3DS though. Is it definatly a Wii game?
As I said elsewhere, a new Kirby game for the Wii, this close to Yarn, seems odd. Also, the traditional Kirby platformers haven't been particularly good in ages, so it's the more experimental entries that have kept the franchise from dying (Epic Yarn, Canvas Curse, etc). So why follow an ingenious game like Epic Yarn with this?
Instead, it should be on the 3DS, which needs a platformer and which could make these 2.5D visuals really pop. On the Wii, I'm not sure that I'm interested.

More Kirby to buy! I love Kirby games! Have played Dream Lands, Kirby's Adventure (and GBA remake), Kirby Super Star (and Ultra), Amazing Mirror, Kirby 64, Pinball, Mouse Attack and Canvas Curse and loved all of them! (Well... 64 version wasn't as good as the others...) Not sure if I listed every game that I've played... Really looking forward this Kirby game. This is what I call a Kirby game, I didn't buy Epic Yarn (at least yet) as it looks so much different, but I'm sure it's Kirby game from inside
It's its, not it's.

I agree that it would be better suited for the 3DS (so would Rhythm Heaven, for that matter), but I must say I'm pretty interested in this new Kirby game. Now, Epic Yarn is one of the most creative platformers I've ever played, but what makes me think that this new game won't be a complete waste of time is the fact that they're clearly going in a completely different direction with it. Epic Yarn was more about innovative platforming/puzzle-solving and harmonizing it with a unique visual style; the new Kirby seems to be more focused on fast-paced action and old-school Kirby mechanics. I'm sure critics will call it a step backwards for the series, but I won't see it that way if it can offer something different than KEY while still maintaining the fun factor. If it can capture the whimsical, fast-paced fun of Super Star and the charm of Kirby 64, I'll definitely be checking it out.

I think the Kirby game is probably a stopgap for the Wii. 2010 was pretty awesome for the system, but so far 2011 looks a bit blah. That will probably change with time, but I'm guessing the 3DS is going to negatively affect the Wii for at least the first half of the year. This at least keeps gamers interested.

There're 4 of them available on Virtual Console.
Ash: Professor Oak, how's your Bulbasaur?
Prof. Oak: Oh, it only hurts when I sit.
...
Prof. Oak: It's only Chansey if Krabby won't let go. Bye, now.
Ash: I don't think I'm going to call him anymore.

A bit blah? -Mario Sports -Zelda -Xenogears -Last Story -Now a traditional Kirby, Rythm Heaven, hell, La Mulana, Bit Trip Flux
I think that we may got 3DS + Wii multiplataformers now, MUCH better than PS2 / PSPs games (Tenchu, F12009, other licenced games)
Edit: i`d love to get a Kid Icarus port for the Wii with the controls of Sin & Punishment 2
Yeah, it's still blah. Zelda may not come out until late in the year, the other two aren't actually confirmed yet, and Mario Sports and Rhythm Heaven probably won't interest a lot of people who aren't fans of those genres. Last year was a lot better even early on. Oh, and if Kirby IS a stopgap, and is as good as other recent traditional Kirby games, then it won't help anything either. We've still got a ways to go, but at the very least it seems we won't have anything interesting coming out for the Wii within the 3DS' launch window.
Well, the Kirby game has me more interested than the Zelda title. The only reason being is that I like Kirby games more than Zelda, and well, I'm a huge Kirby fan. Mario Sports Mix and a few other titles I'm personally looking forward to, this isn't such a bad year for a Wii. To some, it's blah. For others, it's no big deal.
And since I've been waiting for this game for nearly 6 years, I'm happy that it's back and in full form. Coincidentally, in one of the surveys I did for Nintendo a week ago, I mentioned "the Kirby game that was apparently cancelled announced back in 2005 should be brought to 3DS". Now, there's a new video of the 'same' game. One part of of the video you can hear the same theme played in the trailer back then. I'm hoping 4-player support is still there but also the possibility of having online co-op; a first for a Kirby game. I'm also hoping it brings in some characteristics of Kirby & The Amazing Mirror. I loved the exploration aspect. A mix of Kirby Super Star and Amazing Mirror would be sweet!
Oh, and I'm wondering what this new Pokemon game is. Probably a Battle Revolution sequel for Pokemon Black & White compatibility. Also, they mentioned a new Pokemon game for 3DS. Another two things I'm looking forward to

I very much hope it isn't. I haven't regretted any purchase more than Battle Revolution. Such a useless, pointless game. I'm hoping they'll include something with a Story mode again, I'd buy that in a heartbeat, more so than Pokemon Black & White.

I'm aware of that but I no like pay, haha. I'd rather wait for the new one
Plus there are other games I want coming soon that I need to save my money for.
I actually hope it's not for the 3DS since I don't intend on getting one (lack the funds. Took me 2 months to pay off the XBox 360 Kinect bundle) ><
A new Rhythm Heaven for Wii sounds nice, but I'm probably gonna neglect my Wii more than I already do once I get me hands on my 3DS. One for 3DS would be nice, but I really can't see me liking a Rhythm Heaven-type game on the Wii.
