I recieved my subscribers copy of N-Gamer and Sonic Colours was the main review article. It recieved and 86% which puts it in their top bracket of games (ie. 85% and above is regarded as "Gold Award status" by the magazine.
Colourful and intricate graphics. Full on catchy, orchestral audio. Reaction-testing 3D sections and classic 2D platfoming. "Its the best Sonic game in years". "Welcome back old friend, it's been too long", they say. Some of the levels are quite tricky. Wisps don't sacrifice Sonic's speed; they reveal more runways for him to work on and brillaintly so. Gives the game a futher texture.

Thats awesome to hear. Will def ask for it for Christmas or birthday (January), because I need to cool it on games since I need to buy presents for people during Winter. Also, can't pass up DKC Returns.

Only by one, though, and that's if you mean this gen and don't count handhelds as a console.
Don't forget that Sonic Adventure 2 (the game Sonic Colors looks to be dethroning as the best 3D Sonic game) is currently technically still a "Wii exclusive" compared to the current competition through Sonic Adventure 2: Battle on GameCube.
By the way, I was never worried about the wisps, as they seem similar to the elemental shield power-ups that work so well in Sonic 3 & Knuckles.

That's awesome news. Now I know I'm getting an awesome hat and an awesome game. I highly doubt this review over-ratted it because it is a Sonic game the last time I've seen one of those was never.
