Difference is that we know the WiiU has lots of big titles on the way, while the PSV is in the opposite situation (which Sony will hopefully fix at E3).

Pikmin fact of the week: The Pearly Clamclamps in Pikmin 1 can still attack and eat Pikmin even after being defeated. They are the only creatures in the game able to do so.

Monster Hunter has been a Sony thing and was the PSP's savng grace. This has changed ever since Monster Hunter Tri with all recent entries being on Nintendo systems.

Honestly im a bit surprised Monster Hunter 4 isn't o Wii U as well.

Japan is mostly a handheld market, so releasing it on 3DS makes sense, as homr console get less love there. That's why I don't think that Wii U falling behind Vita is such a bad thing. Atlus recently released some popular game on vita, while there are practicly no new interesting titles on Wii U. Just wait for Pikmin 3.

The biggest upcoming release for the Vita that I can think of is Soul Sacrifice (dropping on 4/30 for US). A lot of other things (Killzone Mercenary, Valhalla Knights 3, etc) all come out in ~August. So yeah, hopefully Sony will announce some stuff at E3. The biggest problem I see currently with the Vita (outside of a lackluster library) is the price of the proprietary Sony SD cards. FOr example A 32GB SD card runs about $30, and $60 for a 64GB one. For the Sony proprietary one, which you have to have for Vita storage, it's $100 for 32GB, and $60 for 16GB. That is needless to say, an absolutely ridiculous price. Supposedly it is to stop piracy, home-brew firmware and the such, but from browsing around youtube, it doesn't seem to have worked.

Anyways, the problem with both systems, from my quick perspective is that they both released with an underwhelming library. They both have some great ports (PErsona 4 for the Vita for example), but not any games that I would necessarily classify as a "system seller". Hopefully that will at least START to change this month with the release of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U, and in April with the release of Soul Sacrifice for the PS Vita.

So yeah.

No. This includes 18-24th of february. Vita price cut started on 28th. Sorry to break it to you. Expect at least 3x numbers for Vita this week and in March.

Many stores dropped the price already that is why it outsold the Wii U last week. This week is going to be brutal tho.
You can't release a console with no games, NA is pretty barren but Japan is a ghost town. Nintendo screwed up here big time.

Nintendo needs some games out. We've all had fun with our launch titles but now we need a second helping.

Nintendo isn't going out of business anytime soon and games are coming. I'm having fun with it and that's all that matters.
