The majority of journalists negatively remarking on the Wii U are jumping the shark and sounding uneducated to anyone who has followed the industry for a few console launches. Neither a good or bad launch and its accompanying six months that follow really amount to much of anything, historically. It's what the system has to offer come its first holiday season post-launch, which for the Wii U will be Q4 of 2013.
We'll have a better idea of what the holidays have to offer come E3, but common sense suggests that even now the Wii U will doing several TIMES better in terms of sales than it is now. Think about it. Super Mario and Mario Kart, and even The Wind Waker HD are system sellers, and chances are, Yoshi's Island, FEXSMT, Retro's game, and several third party titles such as Watch_Dogs and the next Call of Duty, will be out and selling much better than they would given the current install base.
Anyone who speculates on the Wii U's death before seeing what this year's holiday lineup has to offer makes himself look ignorant. It's a possibility that it will fail, sure, but based on software we already know about, it's going to sell exponentially better than it is now. A lot of people WANT a Wii U, they just don't want it until it has the games they want too; otherwise it's too soon to buy one. If Nintendo's smart, they'll release bundles for The Wind Waker, Mario Kart, and something else. $$$$$$. Cha-ching.
good i hope for the vita to do better than it has. The wii u on the other hand, its not like this should be a surprise to anyone. But obviously the wii u will do very good once some good games actually come out.

I don't know how many times I have to tell you, guys! It's over. Pack it up. Abandon ship. This four-month cruise is hittin' ground, going up in flames, and belching out smoke your great grandmother Edie. Sell your Wii U, sell your games, sell your dog, sell your wife, because all of this shiny plastic is officially doomed.
I'm going to be realistic and say that the Wii U is doing pretty poorly. That's not doom and gloom. Many consoles started out weak and improved over time, especially recently (PS3, 3DS, and the X360 had a huge spike after Kinect but that doesn't count). I'm hopeful for the future, and hell, since they had a headstart I'd be surprised if they ended up dead last.
Good for the Vita. It should be outselling all of the home consoles in Japan.
Say mate, you got a 3DS? If so would you mind trading friend codes?
You seem to make lots of sense lots of times.
If interested, mine is in my Profile.
