@Haru17, I don't even have a Wii U, so I won't be getting the game regardless.

Personally, it's not a big issue to me (if I did have the system, I would get the game, just like I got FE: Fates). I'm just saying that the people who are upset, probably aren't just upset due to the lack of fanservice itself.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

By making loose and outlandish claims? Censorship isn't power you can 'give' Nintendo—they already have that power. They're not a democratic entity, which makes your analogy all sorts of arbitrary.

Don't hate me because I'm bnahabulous.

So, we should aaaaaaall stop for you?
News flash, no one cares.

Of course things get censored and because of culture differences. Like... What?
If Japan is taking out Fallout 3's option to set off the nuke, then it's for culture purposes.

Did they actually do that? That's crazy. I'm actually surprised since anime loves to show nuclear and quasi-nuclear explosions in every show that allows it.

My opinion is still the same. I don't care for half naked anime girls, but out of principle, I think censorship is stupid. I understand why it exists ans why it happens, but I rather see no censorship.

Moreover, porn and sexuality are becoming more acceptable in nearly every walk of life, so your point is doubly moot.

That's not true at all. It's more like anything remotely sexual is being reclassified as porn. It's still allowed on a legal level, but has otherwise been banished from the mainstream.

The censorship in this game is terrible, almost all traces of both SMT and FE have been censored.

I would rather see no "censorship" too and hopefully one day we will love in a world where it won't be needed.

I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

@KO-Cub: or Nintendo releases a new F-Zero game, that's as likely as pigs flying I think.

@KO-Cub:
Hogwash. I own every console, all 3 current gen platforms.

And guess which one is the only one to see literally every game censored to such an extent? That's right, Nintendo.

I don't wanna hear about "of course they make changes". I said as much. But there is a difference between a few little changes, and pixelating every square inch of cleavage, removing plot lines, removing DLC, changing the story, etc.

No other platforms see Japanese games censored to THIS extent except Nintendo. So don't tell me it's not a problem. If it wasn't a problem, there wouldn't be so much outrage.

Please stop defending this crap. If it doesn't bother you, awesome! Go buy the game, enjoy the game and have a good time. But don't tell me this is acceptable when it is not something that happens with any of my PS4 or X1 games.

Wow... the exaggeration in this is real. Because tits is a big thing.
You don't know what a culture really means don't you?

My point wasn't defend anything other than DefHalan's point. I was telling you that culture is the reason for censorship. The West censors Eastern games, the East censors Western games. Can you like... Not? This show you're putting on is ridiculous.

Xenophobia is the reason behind this censorship. A couple of scantily clad women and people have an aneurysm, when you just need to open up a department store catalogue to find a few models in their underwear, real ones at that, and they're delivered, free of charge, straight to your letterbox.

Think of the children, censor any underwear sections in catalogues.

The only thing that really bothers me is that since they are changing the theme of the second dungeon, that part loses its meaning in showing Tsubasa's growth as a character, from being a normal girl to getting in the.... less savory part of being an idol. If she just models with normal clothes on, it isn't clear why she makes such a fuzz about modeling.

Now, outfit censorship? I really don't care either way about that, but with that said, I admit I find Aversa's change silly. Her artwork in Awakening is far more suggestive that it is in TMS#FE

I'll buy the game, but NoA's getting annoying at this point with the scissors. I seriously wonder what is going on at Treehouse or with the guy/gal supervising Atlus in this localization.

I have a chronic lack of time, for everything.

Now playing: Okami HD, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

When I hear about this sort of ridiculous and unwarranted censorship, I'm reminded of the Western-developed The Sims 2, where Sims can dress up in absolutely nothing but leaves to obscure their privates (and just barely) and they can make out, jump in bed together etc. while in that state of undress. Some Sims (the really "outgoing" types) may enter a hot tub naked and they can also make out and have sex with Sims in that state.

It's amusing how prudent some developers/publishers are while The Sims gets away with a ridiculous amount of sexual content at only a T rating. It is also the only game franchise that I know of where teen sexuality (and teens in various states of undress) is unabashedly depicted. Meanwhile, Nintendo is lengthening skirts of teens in action games that contain no sexual content whatsoever.

@KO-Cub:
Culture? Maybe a smidge, sure, but the real reason is a pandering fear of SJW nonsense. They're like a frightened child, shaking in their boots, offering any and all appeasement they can muster to thwart the possibility of some journalist writing an article that one of their games showed a little skin.

Senran Kagura has a Teen rating, and unashamedly shows far more than this game ever did. And that is my point. The culture is irrelevant. It's Nintendo's actions standing out in the crowd above all other games released in this exact same culture that is the problem. They needn't censore more than is necessary, and the lack of outrage or even acknowledgement of other T rated western games showing far more skin, proves they are being overly sensitive and unjustly heavy handed in their localization duties.

@Grumblevolcano: I guess the "Costume Set" is the replacement for the Hot Springs DLC that isn't coming to the West. If so, it'll be interesting to see what the replacement costumes look like. It would appear, based on the info in that link, that we will be able to buy a DLC bundle for the Hunter packs but not for the costume packs, unlike the Japanese DLC costume bundle. That's a bummer.

I doubt I'll be buying this, in the end.

Usually when a game I'm really looking forward to is censored in some way, such as Xenoblade Chronicles X, I tend to look the other way, since the pull of all the amazing content on offer is far stronger than the desire to uphold my principles. Because, yes, it's about being against censorship as a whole and not about whatever else apologists pin it down to so that they feel better about themselves. I used the swimsuits in XCX twice, and it was to get achievements. I literally don't give a damn about fanservice per se.

However, when it comes to something such as Tokyo Mirage Sessions, which is so far removed from what the crossover initially promised and I'm feeling lukewarm about it to begin with, it is much easier to give it a pass when you throw in the fact that Nintendo feels as though I need a nanny. It also makes homebrew all the more appealing, by the way.

Plus, around the end of June, Zero Time Dilemma will be released, and I'm going to dedicate myself to that, one hundred percent.
