I'm so glad I invested in a PlayStation 4.

November will be spectacular (for me).

Just for you.

I don't even care. In fact, I care so little that I had to specifically enter this thread and type out a message to express how little I care.

Ubisoft really are a horrible bunch aren't they?

Yes, yes they are. They're turning into a mini EA.

I don't find this ideal or anything, but how little faith do people have in retail games if they feel DLC is super relevant to which version they get. "Well, I'll need all the DLC to justify buying this game on its own." Even I have way more faith in retail games then this, my god...

It depends on how well the GamePad is implemented, and how much they charge. Since the game is releasing is so far after the other consoles, it makes people ask why even bother to buy a late game that won't have all the content.

Even if everyone isn't asking those questions, some people are. TBH, I will probably buy it at $20 on the eShop, like I did for SplinterCell.

Well, whoopdeedoo, what an original idea, and that only took them 6 months!

No surprise really. Same thing happened for Assassin's Creed 4, Sniper Elite v2, Batman Origins (no MP), Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 and Call Of Duty Ghosts. Am wondering what will happen to Project Cars now will they release new tracks and cars for the Wii U?

At least EA have the heart to ignore the Wii U all together. Instead of releasing a game then leaving it to rot from day one on the Wii U. While they update and add new content to the PS3/4 and Xbox 360/One and PC versions.

Might as well get Need for Speed (Wii U) and Deus Ex which will give you good graphical driving with top class stealth and shooting. All this for much less than a full price release. Then, if you feel the need, wait a while, get the Doggy game for peanuts and still be up on the cash front.

I'm not sure this should be all that surprising, but it is certainly annoying. It's pretty hard to say that the game would have sold better with DLC (either on the disc or available for purchase) but this game is doomed to fail. If anyone is interested, you might as well wait a month or two and it'll be $20.

That's probably not all it does, though. I think it was supposed to let you do hacking and camera stuff on it, too. Seeing as Ubisoft hasn't given much information to begin with, we can't really assume it will be just a map, or even that there will be more than that. For all we know, Ubisoft saying there won't be DLC could mean that the DLC isn't DLC anymore, because it's on disc. They never make much of anything clear enough, so people are left assuming or figuring something else.

EDIT: NVM about the DLC thing. I guess Wii U is only getting the Special Edition content that came out in May when the other versions came out.

If it has no DLC it means it must be included! Thank you so much, Ubisoft!!

The best Deus Ex version is on Wii U for all i'm concerned!

100% agree. I was trying to play it in off-TV mode the other day, and the map and stuff being only accessible through pausing and going through menus was much more confusing than just having everything spread out across 2 screens. The same thing goes for SplinterCell. Choosing equips and stuff on the screen is alot more fluid than accessing a menu. It's alot more user friendly, and the same surely goes for most games with these GamePad features. That's why I'll probably pick it up when it's $20. The extra content being absent is missing content, regardless, but the GamePad is a feature you can't even get on Xbox One or PS4, and is something I think would legitimately enhance my enjoyment of the game.

Deus Ex is brilliant on Wii U. Even though I'm terrible at it.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but this is what Ubisoft had to say in an interview with CVG:

''How does the Wii U version use the GamePad? Will it be similar to SmartGlass functionality or will it be different?

On the Wii U you can play on the GamePad screen. There are no new features or anything like that - it's the same game but we're optimising the controls for the beast that is the Wii U GamePad.''

Recently however, Ubisoft finally revealed what the six month wait was worth for. Ubisoft México tweeted the following:

''Esa versión cuenta con un mapa interactivo de Chicago en la pantalla del GamePad, pero también puedes optar por jugarlo solo con el control.''

Translation: This version features an interactive map of Chicago on the GamePad screen, but you can also choose to play [the game] with regular controls.

That's all there is for the so-called possible ''unique GamePad features'', just the map.

About the DLC and Ubisoft's attitude towards the Wii U version in general; Indeed, we know very little. If they were trying to sell the game, you'd think that they reveal all the new cool stuff that makes the Wii U version stand out. They don't, because there's nothing to reveal. It's a lazy gimped port, that's why we haven't seen any gameplay footage or a single screenshot for that matter.

@Octane
Well, I wasn't aware of that. I'm still looking forward to seeing how well it holds up. If it really is a gimped, lazy, overpriced port, then I totally agree that people shouldn't want to buy the game; at least not as much as they could have. Generally speaking, the game making it to Wii U in any form at all would mean that Ubisoft has made development progress on Wii U, regardless of sales, which is probably their goal to begin with. They probably would have cancelled it for Wii U along time ago if it wasn't worth ANY effort at all. They are still technically putting forward effort, it's just lacking in many aspects and perspectives.
