The Harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.

I genuinely hate third-parties now. Ubisoft is never getting a single penny from me ever again!

I'm assuming that's sarcasm. If it's not then thanks for making my day. Not buying from any developer or publisher who isn't Nintendo because one company didn't release some DLC? Derp Level at maximum!

Watch Dogs is f***ed. Welp, nothing to see here. Maybe that game they're holding back will actually be worth something.

Why am I not surprised?
Slap a $60 price tag on there, release it six months after the initial launch after all the mediocre reviews have come in, zero DLC support and expect people to buy it. Oh yeah.

They're not expecting people to buy Watch Dogs, but they certainly aren't putting effort into promoting this version either. Economically it isn't worth their efforts and chances are their teams, other than the one responsible for this version (though that might also be the case), were assigned to future project months ago.

Just started playing the Bad Blood DLC today on the PS4, it's really just more of the same, very little in the terms of any innovation...........but with that being said, T-bone is a lot more likeable and humerous than Aiden.

But yeah, shame on Ubi for giving Wii U the gimped version.

I think the reason they are releasing it anyway is because they have a deal with Nintendo to release a minimum number of games on their system, maybe?!
Otherwise, I seriously don't see why they bothered - they already lost a good slice of the purchases when the game got released and people found out it's not worth its asking price. The rest of the sales was lost when they announced that the WiiU version won't have any additional feature beside the map on the gamepad. I really really wonder what happened during those extra 6 months of development for the WiiU edition.

The only thing I can think of is that the development for Watch_Dogs on WiiU was actually cancelled while it was made for the other consoles and they only started porting it recently when they realized it would be cheaper to port it instead of making a brand new game to close their partnership with Nintendo - otherwise I can't understand how a game that received 6 extra months of development ends up having less content than the other versions.

I believe there are going to be more press copies around than actual copies sold - who's really going to buy this?!

Top-10 games I played in 2017: The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild (WiiU) - Rogue Legacy (PS3) - Fallout 3 (PS3) - Red Dead Redemption (PS3) - Guns of Boom (MP) - Sky Force Reloaded (MP) - ...

Ubisoft - Releases inferior version of mediocre game on Wii U, which nobody buys, then cries "Nobody purchases mature games on the Wii U!" Well, duh. I'm sick of companies pulling this crap. If you release an inferior version of a game on any console, NOBODY IS GOING TO BUY IT. And don't tell me games don't sell on the Wii U, freaking look at Mario Kart.

The only counter argument I can think of is PS3. Many times the PS3 version of games was inferior to the 360 version but they still sold well.

But I totally agree with what you are saying, and I would have bought it if DLC was supported.

Valid point with the PS3. I never owned one (I'm a Nintendo guy), but from what I understand, even the inferior PS3 versions were better than what most third parties are shoveling onto the Wii U. Please, correct me if I'm wrong.

Some games, Darksiders 2 and Batman Arkham City run better on PS3. Others such as Black Ops 2 and Deus Ex Director's cut run about the same but then games like Mass Effect 3, Need For Speed: Most Wanted and Splintercell: Blacklist run better and/or have better textures or resolution

As someone who hates DLC in nearly all its forms....I don't really care. I'll probably still buy the game at some point just to try it out.

I don't find this ideal or anything, but how little faith do people have in retail games if they feel DLC is super relevant to which version they get. "Well, I'll need all the DLC to justify buying this game on its own." Even I have way more faith in retail games then this, my god...

If I can get a version with all the DLC on another system (PC) but would have prefered to have it on Wii U, then this affects my purchase decision. Also Ubisoft not supporting the Wii U version with DLC shows that they do not have faith in their own product. I am all for purchasing 3rd Party games on Wii U, even when there is a feature missing but no multiplayer(possibly), no DLC, months late to release, and Ubisoft talking about no longer supporting the WIi U are the reasons why I decided not to buy this game. If it had DLC, I could have lived without multiplayer and the late release.

People keep saying the Xbox One doesn't have Backwards Compatibility.
I don't think they know what Backwards Compatibility means...

Delayed for half a year and no bonus? Whoever buy this game on the Wii U doesn't have a working brain. Or just have too much money.

While I don't buy DLC anyway, this does seem to indicate they don't have much interest in the Wii U port and that means the port will probably be even worse than the PS3 version.

It might be hard to justify purchase for a full-prised, DLC-less and most likely poorly running port, when come November there'll surely be a complete package for 7,49€ on a Steam-sale.

Currently on the plate:
Mount and Blade: Warband – Napoleonic Wars
Chivalry
Super Mario 3D World – Finishing the last few levels.
Mario Kart 8
