No kidding, that's about as unrealistic as you can get. Still, I have to admit that'd be a great thing to release just before a third Luigi's Mansion game on the Wii U, kind of like how they redid the Metroid Prime games for the Wii. Maybe a Luigi's Mansion Trilogy disc?
I think, if there is any possibility of this being true, it won't be Dark Moon/2 but rather the original ported in HD, similar to Wind Waker.
The original was too short... why waste money on a game that takes 2 hours to beat!? Maybe 3 hours if yo're like my little brother and don't know how to use a map or remember the map for that matter.
Because games are supposed to be fun, and 2-3 fun hours in a game can be better than 20+ boring hours in Action Game X.
It wasn't 2 hours long. I easily spent more than 10 hours on it, not to mention the final boss took me a long time..
Well then... you are bad at Luigi's Mansion... ever since I was a kid when I first got it I have always timed myself to see how long it takes to complete the game... it's always been about 2 hours for me... most recent one was 1 hour and 53 minutes...
Or maybe I just took my time and enjoyed the game. The game's pace and atmosphere call for slow playing. No review mentioned it was below 7 hours either even when rushing it.

I wasn't rushing... but I always time myself in Mario games... It's just not enough around for more than 2 hours 30 minutes... I got a friggin A rank... under 2 hours mang

But, get this, not everyone times themselves while playing games, Mario or otherwise. Some take their time while playing, so just because you beat it around two hours doesn't mean others will.

Everyone does... even you... You just don't know it yet....
But seriously how do you take more than 2 hours on Weegee's House GC? do you walk really slow? do you die? what cause I don't understand. do you walk around in rooms you've already been too for no reason?

You do realize some people are better at certain games then others right? For example the fastest record for beating Pikmin 3 is 10 game days, but I've seen plenty of people take well over 60. How is that? Oh yeah, because they aren't as skilled! It doesn't matter how simple a game is; chances are there will be someone not very good at it. That's just the way it is.

My lil bro sucks at it and beats it in about 3 hours when he plays it...
I'm 3 hours in and still have at least an hour to go. It's not because I'm not skilled, either, I only died twice on a single boss. I just take my time with games. There's a lot to find in that game, and I want every last bit of it.
Everyone plays games at their own pace. No need to get upitty just because someone played a game differently than you.

those pikmin records are incredible... highscores on mission mode are insane

Well you did die... twice
No need to be a condescending elitist about it. Some people don't play Luigi's Mansion just to get it over with. I know I've beaten it in about 2 hours before, but does that mean I wanna speed run it every time? Heck no. 99% of the fun I have in LM is exploring the environments. And I do it at my own pace.

Yeah, which took up maybe 5 minutes of my time. :/
Here's some promising news for the chances of a Wii U Luigi's Mansion release.
if it's Luigi's Mansion 3 it would be great. porting 3DS games to the WiiU wouldn't be very smart...

**cough** Mighty Switch Force **cough** Resident Evil Revelations **cough**
ok you got me now. but I still think it'd be a loss for Nintendo if they made too many similar games for their handheld and home console the point of making two different gaming machines is kinda to make different games in a tentative to make fans buy both.

No, I agree. I think it's too soon for a Luigi's Mansion U. They would be much better off making a new Metroid, Starfox, F-Zero or bringing back another old Nintendo franchise.
I really don't think that article confirmed Luigi's Mansion for the Wii U in any way, shape, or form. That being said, it would really be a dumb move for Nintendo not to make a Luigi's Mansion for Wii U after the success Dark Moon had. The install base is still growing, so maybe they will release one in a year or so to maximize the potential a little more. I'm going to get Dark Moon around Christmas time, but I'm way more interested in a Wii U version someday. I'm hoping they take their time and make a completely new one though instead of a port. I'm not a patient person, but I'll be patient for that.
