Topic: Luigi's Mansion on Wii U?

i've been hearing that all over miiverse this morning. i hope it supports 4 players on the same or different wii u(s)!

I would definitely buy it if this turns out to be true. Even though I already own it for my 3ds, I would love to see it on my big screen in HD. If they do this, hopefully they add some more missions, maybe even an extra mansion or two. That would be outstanding.

Didn't it happen with Kid Icarus. as well?

I just beat it two days ago. -_- If its real, I'll end up buying it again anyways. I'm not too worried (not really the best word but I couldn't think of the right one) though. This kind of thing has happened in the past a lot, and its never true, at least that I can remember. You never know though.

I looked and of all of the sites that could reveal something like this, Newegg does not seem like one of them. Also, I can't find it. The page was taken down. Although, if you want to think optimistically, Nintendo could have made them take it down.

I would rather get a new Luigi's Mansion. Don't let the Wii U survive off 3DS hand outs. Let the Wii U stand on its own with its own unique games

I didn't mean that. I just meant that Luigi Mansion was release a couple months ago, and don't see a point in making a HD port this soon.

Considering how many titles that they have delayed on the Wii U this year, the most recent of which being Tropical Freeze, I would view any port at this point to be a desperate attempt to fill in software gaps on the console due to Nintendo's struggle to develop their Wii U titles. Also, why Dark Moon? That's not even a year old. If anything, bring Luigi's Mansion an update like Wind Waker got. I really hope this isn't true though. It just seems like a pointless distraction for Nintendo when they should focus more on their major Wii U game releases.

Luigi's Mansion 1 HD would be the most likely next HD remake (either that or Mario Sunshine/Galaxy) so I could buy it.

You guys all know how Animal Crossing Wii U is inevitable and is bound to come to Wii U? Yeah, well... I think the Wii U is also bound to get a new Luigi's Mansion game in 2015.

It'd be nice, but it'd be nicer if the Wii U had something that the 3DS did not... I think the 3DS is the biggest reason the Wii U is failing right now. It has everything the Wii U has and more. I'd rather see Metroid or Golden Sun on the Wii U, specifically because we haven't seen those titles on the 3DS.

Personally, I hope they release a game which has both the first Luigi's Mansion and Dark Moon on the same disc, maybe in the run up to the third game's Wii U debut (assuming such a thing happens).

That doesn't seem like a good idea. Luigi Mansion 2 was probably bought by everyone who was interested in it and a remake of GC original won't set sales on fire, because it did ok only due to the lack of games on GC launch (I got Rogue Squadron myself).
New game could do really well if it integrated a smart online multiplayer, deep miiverse interaction (taking pictures of the mansion, snapping ghosts doing stupid stuff) and depth to all of its gameplay aspects (customizable Poltergust, lots of side missions, custom obstacle courses for multiplayer).

I'd love, love, LOVE an HD Kid Icarus, whether an Uprising port or new title. I want detail so articulate that you can see each individual feather on Pit's wings!
