My original point was that every game is repetitive. Some more than others, yes, but marching onward pretending Call of Duty is the only repetitive game out there is ridiculous.

Plus, I never said all games were equally repetitive. Unless you want to point that out for me.

Don't talk to me in the first place then. (:

I feel like 90% of this thread which was solely supposed to be about if COD Black Ops 2 is worth getting, turned into a "Which games do you think are the most repetitive".

Bait son. Caught a big one this time.

Really though when ain't you going to derail threads, make long long arguments and just keep going on even when your wrong. You cause my main man Hawkeye some trouble as well as Otaku whatever his name is now. Is this just your intended purpose? You seem to cause trouble on purpose. At least LordJumpFlaps is funny.

Oh almost forgot, you might want to wait to see if they reveal that new CoD.

So, let's review.

A thread on a Nintendo centered website forum in which the original topic of whether or not to buy the latest CoD has immediately changed to an argument over which company's franchises are more repetitive.

Gee, sure never saw that coming...

I think COD is a fun game for the most part(the Wii U one was actually my first time playing COD), but they aren't releasing DLC or anything. That makes me just not want to buy any game from Activision ever again.
I thought the game was gonna be awesome and assumed they would treat it the same as Xbox or PS with DLC and such.
They royally messed up support by not releasing DLC for one of their biggest games on Wii U.

If I had a Wii U I would probably pick up Black Ops II. I know people (especially people here) love to hate on the games, but they are fun from time to time.

Repetition can be both a good thing and a bad thing, depending on how it is implemented. Usually I can enjoy it, for example it is great in side scrolling brawlers and other games like MadWorld. But I think there is a point to a bit of a mindless "blank" repetition in multiplayer where there is no story, background or progress, but you just shoot one another, as in "Deatmatch". Now you can spice it up, but the opinion that was made, and is a valid one, is this sort of repetition is more mindless and boring in his opinion. Multiplayer fighting games or racing games can get this too, but there is something to be said about killing people in seconds and spawning back.

You're uneducated. Nintendo's games are just as, if not more, repetitive than Call of Duty.

Also, not just you but others, why are you people ending your arguments with ad hominem attacks and claims of superiority?

I like campaign mode more than multiplayer, actually i really suck at multiplayer I just want to shoot stuff in the story mode. Is it worth getting it for the campaign alone.

And there we was about to lose the point of the topic. My answer to your question? YES. I have only played the campaign on BLOPS2, and somewhat the online, and I found it amazing. I was actually amazed that a game that is so criticized all over the gaming world for being dumb had such an awesome plot to play.

Another reason why I bought the game was to defeat my 360 friend at Call of Duty on the Wii U, WITH the Wiimote + Nunchuck, and I have succeeded. My work here is done.

I bought this game on day one for Wii U. It's a very good game, probably deserving of its high review scores but I thought the multiplayer suffers from stupid weapons and the maps aren't particularly memorable. There's enough people playing online to have a decent game and offline multiplayer is good fun, especially with the ability to have one player on tv and one on gamepad.

I think it has the best single player campaign on a CoD game since the original modern warfare but when compared to the original it does just seem like a bit of a soulless swearfest. It also has the worst pacing of any CoD game, it throws you into the action with no real training and it takes a while to realise who you are meant to be shooting. If you were after a single player shooter you might want to wait for Deus Ex.

I only posted this to get my avatar as the forum's thumbnail.

Alot of games are repetitive. Nintendo has just been around longer, so it's easier to say they do the same stuff all the time.
I could say that Microsoft is repetitive by releasing a new Windows every 6 years or so. I could say that Apple and Sony need to stop making i devices, TVs, and Walkman.
Every company is repetitive in the products they produce that are still good for consumer, and I understand they do make something completely new every once in a while, but the repetitive argument isn't really valid for anything.

I'm 100% sure you never played COD games &/or BO2 for that matter. Try playing this game particularly on PC everyday for 3 weeks & you'll feel stupid playing the same stuff over & over. You'll be running in circles on the entire map lists. There's huge maps but the way it's modelled you'll be running in & around entrance & exits points all connected to each other. There's no time for you to rest your fingers & camp. You'll be continously moving. On the map called "Hijacked" for example, you're in a big yatch where most gamers spawn & just round around same corners laying Bouncing Betty & waiting for somebody to pass by & shout. It's a repetitive process you'll get headache playing it every so often. The weapons barely have recoils too it feel like its been nerfed.

Yep I said the same thing. Whenever COD is brought up on this site it just brings fight... who would have thought. ... maybe that is just a sign.....

I do have COD BO 2. I got it on launch day, which is why I'm pissed that there is no DLC. I kept saying, "It will show up. It will show up". That obviously is not the case, so BO 2 is my first and last purchase from Activision until I see that the DLC is available on a new title.

Aside from it being a repetitive game, they just ignored an existing Wii U fanbase of 7,000 or so. No one buys COD without DLC.
I guess we just shouldn't ask for the DLC anymore and let the game die.

For campaign mode sure get it, if you like FPS games.
If you have any interest in online multiplayer DO NOT GET THIS GAME FOR THE WII U!
You will not get any of the DLC offers, meaning no new maps, weapons, reticles, gun camos etc. that Xbox, PS3 and PC all get.
You will also not get the free Nuketown map.
You will not get to participate in Elite as there is no Elite for nintendo players.
You will only get what the game comes with out of the box period.
