Topic: I Think It's About Time Nintendo combine 3DS & Wii U together.

I think its about time Nintendo start combing 3DS & Wii U together, meaning Cross-Buy on VC games. Unified Account systems, & one big thing they need to do...Is allow us to add (Wii U owners) 3DS users as friends & (3DS Users) Wii U users as friends.

I assume that Nintendo will eventually do this (in 1,000 years) but I think it's about time to do it. Since Wii U is selling a little more.

I still like the idea of next Nintendo console simply using the next version of their portable line as a controller.

Are some of these requests (demands?) even possible at this point? I think a few of them might have to be a decision made while creating the hardware.

FWIW, Pullblox World is released in Europe on the 19th of June. Existing users of the 3DS version will get a discounted price. I can't see how that's going to work, unless the 5.0.0 update provided some sort of unified accounts?

Cross-buy I would have no problem with, obviously. But I don't think this is a PS4/Vita situation we have on our hands. I don't think the 3DS has enough processing wizardry to run most Wii U titles without heavy modifications.

Which is why I think cross-buy would be limited to VC and download titles available on both platforms.

No. The Scandinavian countries don't have Club Nintendo.

Yes, they should, in the manner you suggest, and slight progress has been made (my wii and 3ds share an account, so there's that). But at this point, Nintendo will probably use the excuse of fairness to people who've already taken the plunge and bought games on both platforms as a scapegoat for the rest of the generation, unfortunately. If we're lucky, they might make all future purchases owned on both systems and give a discount on making previous games cross platform.

Making saves cross-platform would be interesting, but I don't think it will make an appearance.

Ever since the December update for 3DS, unified account systems have existed.

Just because Nintendo does not have cross buy does not mean the accounts are not unified!

I think the greatest thing N should do is to find a way to stream the upper screen of 3dd to the tv through the WiiU, using 3ds as a gamepad... This could also move tons of 3ds owner to the WiiU base...

I really hope they don't merge the handheld with the home console unless it's a 100% optional feature and both handheld and console still get their own games separately
