@ShadyKnights on a philosophycal way i can agree with what u wrote, but don t forget that actually wiiU is not profitable for Nintendo.... and, despite the big cash they still have, a model where Nintendo produceniche hw and sw won t survive in this market, already dried out by smartphones and tablet....so, something as to change in the next gen, either becoming only a software house or betting everything on the core gaming, with a powerful hw and less gimmicks in orddr to expand its userbase

I hardly understand the japanese trend... They keep buying an almost dead console (Vita) and ignoring the masterpiece of the last generation (last of us)... I am playing it these days.. Jeez this game is a drug, amazing story and great mechanics...

@JamesCoote ok, but casual gamers didn't exist before Wii... and now portable devices took that piece of the pie.. so I guess is fair that Sony went back to the root... and honestly, I am happy about that... had enough of this casual games which were not deep enough... I still have WiiU retrocompatibility if I wanna enjoy them with my family or friends...

@Undead_terror yes, but the circle pad pro has not a big installed base... and no fps would really help to get it (IMHO it makes the handheld so big that you can hardly call it handheld anymore..)

Concerning the stylus, I have to disagre... especially if more than L shoulder button is used in the game...

@JamesCoote I agree on what you are saying... and it is even worst advertisment for the consoles that don't host the game (= WiiU)...

for the family, casual market... I am personally glad that ps4 brought back the "game" experience to his core... many of this kinects, moves and siblings were, for the most, jokes and gimmicks...

The holidays line-up for ps4 looks promising... starting from destiny to little big planet 3. The same for WiiU... I guess ps4+WiiU is the way to be this generation, if you like to have a full spectrum experience...

I feel Sonic games are the only ones in which fans (or supposedly called fans) analyze the game with surgical precision and start to rant to anything possible.... the smiles on a character, the length of his legs, the particular unknown actor who dub him, the color and model of the shoes... jesus... let the game come out and evaluate it for the fun (or not) it brings you...

I jist hope they ll learn from they own mistakes, and the next gen console will allow easy ports from pc and other architectures... That s why i am worried about all these talks about one single console, both handheld and home, i am worried that this will lead to even worst hardware compromises than now, putting it even more behind in the console war... They have to face the truth that nowadays they cannot face the market alone without 3rd parties and without what, unfortunately, the big mass want.... Graphic, speed, framerate... :(

I guess is the kind of game you don't get any idea till you try it...

But still, at the E3 treehouse, could they have put some proper demonstrator instead of someone who had no clue how to correctly move the thing? Live it looked very akward and crappy.... good to know that is not like that...

Still, I wonder how this concept could evolve into a complete game...

What piss me the most is that the developer, after liking our butt about how fancy WiiU version will be, that the gamepad is definitely full of potential, blablabla, they just come out with this decision, not even considering the results of their poll, without no words, no excuses, no offers like free DLCs or discounts or free beta versions... nothing.... I feel just threated like secondary citizen...

@Nintenjoe64 Yep but doesn't sound legitimate to me, considering that the initial development was on Xbox360, Ps3 and WiiU... they then drop the last gen ones to move to PS4 XB1.... so, the WiiU version should be under development for almost 3 years now...

One reason could be your cospiracy theory (I start to believe...) plus the fact the WiiU owners seems to consider mainly everything with mario or link in it (see the hype for Hyrule warriors... a spin-off of dinasty warrior game semi-unknown in the west, now became the most hyped game ever).
Other reason could be the bunch of WiiU titles for this fall-winter.... they would like to hit a more empty window, which I hope will be January...

PS: Maybe they should announce a Mario or DK Livery for your car... or the possibility to have Princess Zelda as umbrella-girl.... then people will buy the game wholesale...
