Planning to get 3000 points this week. Want to spend them on SNES games. Since I don't have much time for RPG's, I thought platformers could be a good deal. I need fast-to-play games.
Can't decide in between:
Castlevania IV DKC 1 DKC 2 Doremi Super Metroid
(Will skip SMW, I own the GBA game) any other suggestion, welcome
DKC2 for sure. Super Metroid as long as an RPG. DoReMi is a charming cute game but there are better ones on the VC (not many though), DKC1 has been bettered by its sequel and Castlevania IV is Marmite.
Edgey, Gumshoe, Godot, Sissel, Larry, then Mia, Franziska, Maggie, Kay and Lynne.
I'm throwing my money at the screen but nothing happens!
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!
Super Metroid is one of my most-regretted VC purchases, if that helps. I don't think it's aged very well, but then again I feel the same way about the NES Metroid. If you enjoyed the NES Metroid, this might be a good purchase for you. If you didn't, don't expect to fall in love with this one either.
Haven't played the SNES Castlevania, but I've heard good things.
Seems DKC 2 and Doremi are in.. I have high hopes on those two ! _
Hope so!

between DKC2 and DoReMi, I'd go for DKC2 every time. DoReMi is nice, but DKC2 is much more fun and has more to do IMO.

DKC 2 is a lot better than the first game. Better leveldesign overall, and one of the best plattformers ever. Get it. I liked Super Metroid, but yeah, it requires a lot of exploring so it doesn´t fit your needs.
I suggest Super Probotector / Contra III if you need some alienblasting. Best actiongame ever, and a gamingsession won´t take ages.
Super Mario RPG. Good place for beginning RPG players. Or try Secret of Mana, if you haven't already. They're both great titles. Or, for non-RPG purposes, DoReMi Fantasy, Kirby's Dream Land 3, Contra III, ActRaiser and Super Ghouls'n Ghosts are all great choices. But, the choice is up to you.
wait, when you call castlevania iv marmite....is that a good thing or a bad thing? i didnt know what Marmite was so i looked it up on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marmite
@Outrunner: DKC2 is much better than the original. i've played through DKC2 to 102% more than a few times, but I've only played DKC to 101% once because I got bored. :3

I've been thinking about getting Super metroid for awhile. Just haven't done it yet. I played a little a long time ago. Played part of Prime, Beat M2 (if I remember right. Don't remember the ending though (It was a long while back). Tried the first ds one, multiplayed either on that or the other one (someone else owned it. Did this while waiting outside Bestbuy to get wii.) Plus I played the pinball one.

i gotta admit that stuff looks tasty.
It means it's something that people either love or hate. I'm in the latter camp; mostly because I sunk a lot of time into it before hitting an area near the end I simply could not get past and it really really really pissed me off.
