Well, developing one game at a time is a good thing. When Retro Studios were formed they tried developing two games at the same time as Metroid Prime, both had to be cancelled.

I´m not really longing for a new DK yet, there are many good plattformers for Nintendo systems already. Hope it´s good though. Maybe they´ll develop something more groundbreaking next.

"Nintendo's played it safe, commercially. Yet that makes business sense, which is something we should support. "

I wonder. This lineup looks like games for people who already own the WiiU. Nothing here seems set to wow new consumers. Nintendo can´t rely on everybody buying another Wii Fit, the general public has moved on.

Added content is ok with me if it´s not something that feels "left out" of the original release. Many times DLC feels like a way to charge extra for the complete game. However, if Nintendo had a smaller team to create a few bonus dungeons for a Zelda it´s just good!

@Kaine_Morrison Surprise :) Yeah, Zelda 1 & 2 were the only games connected in the beginning, everything became a mess when Nintendo started using "other" Links. Well, to be honest even Zelda II messes things up with the talk aobut "another princess Zelda".

The games are best played as separate experiences, there isn´t much of substance in the story anyway. Just very enjoyable games.

Side scrolling action game??? The other Super Robot Wars/ Taisen titles heve been strategy games. This one seems to be just as focused on over the top battle animations as the other one, pity license deals with anime companies will prevent it from reaching west.

@Wesker
He bought the game, and that´s what counts. The first months of sales are generally used to measure if the game´s sold good or not.

Besides, secondhand market has existed as long as trade itself, so it doesn´t damage the industry one bit. The gaming industry just needs to accept that once we´ve payed for their product, we own that copy and are free to give it away, sell it or throw it in the trash.

That_Guy_from_Faxana commented on Rumour: Blockbuster UK Lists 25 Wii U Games:

■Rabbids Party Land
■Raving Rabbids
■Rayman Legends
■Shield Pose
■Splinter Cell 6
■Sports Connection
■Tekken
■Your Shape 2013
■Zombie

For some reason this list reminds me of old pirate carts for the NES with "9999 games in 1" where a few titles are given non sense names. "Zombie" is bound to be a development title, but it´s just so generic :D

That_Guy_from_Faxana commented on Europe's Virtual Console Loses 6 Games This Month:

Well, of course most games will stay on the service as long as it lasts. But the thing is, it´ll most probably not be around forever. If I may speculate, I think Nintendo will support the service 3-5 years after the last Wii is manufatured. The games I´ve downloaded will be on my harddrive and SD card for as long as they last.

I still think regular cartriges and CD:s have a more reliable lifespan. If my Wii breaks ten years from now, the games will be gone. If my N64 breaks, I can still play my games on a new machine.

That_Guy_from_Faxana commented on In Fire Emblem 3DS, Death Isn't Always Permanent:

I´ve started to love Fire Emblem, I´ll probably go classic mode but it´s nice to have choice. I like how death matters in these games. It makes the struggle feel more important whan you know the fate of the characters lay in your hands.

Nice to see they´ve returned to a more traditional look for the game, the Shirow artwork for Shadow Dragon was so grey and dull...

This review misses out on FFIII´s amazing story and endearing characters. I think it deserves mention, since it´s one of the best tales ever told in a videogame.

For me the soundtrack is the best RPG score ever. That includes Chrono Trigger (altought that one is very good as well). Tracks like Tina, Devils Laboratory, the opera piece and Dancing Mad are just outstanding.

On a sidenote: The battle system is plays a lot faster in this title than the Final Fantasy PS1 titles (and FFX), and the interactive abilities where you use slotmachines or Street Fighter:esque commands for your attacks are great fun.

A 10/10 from me if there ever was one. Glad it got a 9 at least, though ;)

That_Guy_from_Faxana commented on Japanese Virtual Console list - March 2011:

Gasp, this is just awesome games! I already own FFIV, but it may be the best game ever. I will buy Last Resort if it comes here. Still waiting for Waku Waku 7, though. Fire Fighters (as it´s called in the west) is a cult classic, nice to see it on VC. And online Puyo puyo... cool stuff.

Hm... isn´t that "nuke" screenshot from the japaneese version named "Final Mission"? S.C.A.T. / Action in New York has the "running soldiers" intro instead. By the way, awesome that we get the best version in europe too! Arnold / Sigourny is such an epic teamup!
