Topic: Greatest Game cube games?

What are the gamecube games that you find to be the greatest? Mine are Super mario sunshine, luigi's mansion, paper mario the thousand year door, Super smash bros. melee, and Sonic adventure DX Director's cut. To be honest, I haven't played that many gamecube games.

I have a hard time deciding between Metroid Prime, Animal Crossing, and Mario Kart Double Dash.

I think the Resident Evil series peaked with 4 on the GameCube. I've owned every Mario Kart, but Double Dash was always my favourite. It might be to do with the people I played it with though. Good memories. I loved Wind Waker too.

Super Mario Sunshine. It's so great that it's in my top 10 list of greatest games..

Couldn't agree more.I think it was one of lowest scoring Mario Karts but it was my 2nd favourite. I also really enjoyed having 2 racers per kart, and don't forget that main theme!

My top GCN games in no order; SSBM, Wind Waker, Wave Race, F-Zero GX, MK:DD, 1080 Avalanche, RE:4, WWE: Day of Reckoning 2, MP2: Echoes & Super Mario Sunshine.

The ones that immediately come to mind for me are Super Mario Sunshine, TLoZ: Wind Waker, and Metroid Prime. The last one is better with Wii controls imo, but it's a darn fine game any way you look at it.

I also second Animal Crossing - Population: Growing!

Aside from the basics you'll get, Mario Sunshine, Smash Bros. Melee, Wind Waker, Metroid Prime 1 + 2, Thousand Year Door, Pikmin, etc., here are some I grew up with or played recently that are fantastic.

-Animal Crossing Population Growing: This game actually released on the N64 in Japan, and was ported over to Gamecube, and it's perfect. It's my favorite of the Animal Crossing games (New Leaf may top it, though) plus there's more than a dozen NES titles you can collect! It adds incentive to keep playing.

-Resident Evil 4: One of the greatest games I've ever played.

-Viewtful Joe: Great game, haven't played it too much but highly recommend it.

-Billie Hatcher and the Giant Egg.

The gamecube was fantastic back in the day.

No one's listing Sonic adventure DX? Geez! I'm surprised! That game is the best sonic game in my opinion. Multiple storylines and awesome bosses make the game great.
