Topic: F-Zero X vs. F-Zero GX

Trying to decide between getting F-Zero X on the Virtual Console for $10 or F-Zero GX from the used game section @ Gamestop for i think $3-5. Which game was the better one in terms of multiplayer? That's the main consideration when it comes to getting games for me.

Is there even a comparison for the better deal? Pay more for the inferior game or less for the superior?

This. Plus, GX has a much steeper learning curve, so while GX is cheaper, you may have a better time with X, since you won't have to spend as much time learning the Tracks.

F-Zero X = 1000 Nintendo points

Get both but if you can't well get GX for now since F-Zero X is on Wii VC it's unlimited available while GX are in limited copies.

For $5 get GX, get X anyways though.

I prefer X to GX, the music in X is fantastic, as are the tracks.

GX has some great tracks, but in general X's are much better, although GX is much more content filled, and looks fantastic. Story mode is really good too. The biggest turn-off though is it's immense difficulty, is you're skill deficient and lacking in patience, GX is not the game for you.

X is the best!

For me GX is a much, much better game. Yes it is hard but very rewarding. The graphics still look better than most wii games and I found the track design to be superior to the N64 version. Don't get me wrong, F-Zero X is a good game, but I certainly had more fun with the GC version.

GX is the better game, by far. But Death Race and the randomly generated X-Cup make X a worthy purchase too.

I agree with Machu. If you can get both, do that. However, is you had to choose between one or the other, go with GX.

I tried the demo of F-Zero GX, and sucked.

If there's anything that I hate about GX, it's the music...GX also lacks the spirit/feeling of the original and X

I've never liked F-Zero X. I loved the original, but I never understood why people thought X was so good. It's not bad, but it's not that good. I haven't played much of GX, but what I've played, I love.

I love the simplicity of the first one. X was quite good but a little more complicated and finally GX is the most complicated and difficult. GX is good but it could have been a lot better. It can be really difficult at times and there are just way too many cars to choose from, most of them are a waste of time. I can't tell you which to get because as you can see everyone has their own opinion. I don't really like the music of either GX or X, the original themes were quality and while I love rock/guitar the songs in X are a bit generic.
