Cutscenes with "press A" dialogue (especially the owl in Legend of Zelda) Mandatory tutorials and tips (esp. in Pokemon) Autojump Bad cameras (e.g. not staying behind the character at all times) Yes or no questions you have to say "yes" to (mostly in Pokemon) Having your character be a kid (especially annoying in Pokemon, "this is a place for grown-ups", ugh; exception is Link) Mario, Luigi, and Sonic given voices (please no more mock-Italian, and stop having Sonic talk like he's in high school) Asking a question and then highlighting the choice you don't want. "Do you want to hear what I said again?" YES/no.
When online games don't use dedicated servers and use P2P hosting. Seriously, they should have enough money at this stage.

Wait, you think the game is at fault when you make a mistake selecting your answer? I'd have to think about what really bugs me in a game. I generally think about the good stuff as I play.
Just let it happen.

I also dislike annoying camera angles. Worse than "press A" cutscenes are dialog portions where there's no video cutscene to go with it, AND you cannot press A to speed up the text. So boring.
Pokemon events at gamestop and not over Wifi.
I hated Sonic's voice when Sonic Adventure came out, but now I love it. It's so campy and bad early 90's kids' show throwback. Super funny. If I get annoyed with it, I just change it to Japanese voiceovers and English subs.
I am way too lazy to think of something clever. My Backloggery
10. Its power to compell gamers to want to make pointless lists 9. My inability to resist participating in said lists from time to time 8. Having to pay money to get games 7. The Miyamoto cult 6. The uninspired term "Metroidvania" 5. DLC 4. The death of split-screen 3. Puzzles 2. The third dimension 1. Sonic
I hate it when during a cutscene I get what I suppose one could call a itchy thumb, and without thinking over it I press A or whatever button I have my thumb on, and that skips the cutscene! D: All games should learn from Final Fantasy XIII; you can skip every cutscene, but to do so you have to first press Start then Select. You can press all the other buttons as much as you want without skipping anything.
I also get annoyed when there's a game where you can play through the story-mode with two player, but it HAS to be done online, it can't be done with a local split-screen. Worse is it if the game actually has split-screen multiplayer, but that's only a minigame or something other stupid that doesn't get you anywhere in the actual game.

1. Grey corridors in FPS games (especially Halo) 2. Random battles in RPG:s, if theres too many of 'em 3 Western games, which try to be cute and end up being just plain annoying. 4. Bland, generic protagonist in game (looking like Nathan Drake, Chris Redfield etc.) How about one game in a century where you could play with, let's say, a middle aged woman? Or anything out of the ordinary. 5. Bats, monkeys and medusa heads 6. Gaming fans, who will never be satisfied in anything. 7. Adding useless multiplayer to a game where it does not fit. 8. Wii games, which use a lot of waggle and utilize motion controls in a wrong way 9. Peter Molyneux 10. Final Fantasy- series' downfall from greatness
This one's easy - Fanboyism. The kind that has people actually claim with a straight face that there is nothing of value on any console that they haven't adopted.
I don't like it when you can't pause LONG cutscenes (Metal Gear Solid series, mostly...).

ONES I AGREE WITH Random encounters- I'd like to see a Pokemon game where battles happen when you want them to. Emphasis on online play- whatever happened to the good old days when having your friends over was awesome? Nowadays it's all about playing 100 people you don't know, and half of them are complete noobs. Low health indicators- just the fact that your character is exhausted should be an indicator. You don't have to have that !@#$ beeping.

Ohhhh. That was cold. On that note, though, I'm going to say that I hate it when developers have a great idea and only halfway develop. Sonic, Red Steel 2, and Mini Ninjas come to mind.
