@Haru17 No one denied that. Heck everyone would agree.

But it's more inconvenient to move save files, keep your purchases, chat with other users, set up lobbies in games, browse the eShop, download games or even buy retail games.

I can't find Tiny Metal on PSN for some reason. Strange. At least I got Sonic Mania, Wonder Boy: Dragon's Trap, Romancing Saga 2, and Earthlock. I think I'll get The Mummy Demastered next week if it's still on sale. Merry Christmas, everyone!

@CanisWolfred Have you tried using the...pukes....search function?

I know you REALLY have to try to use that PoS, even though the system has an on-screen keyboard....but...it's in there in that unfiltered list of TV shows, movies, games, themes, avatars and DLC right?

In all seriousness though did you try the search feature, as crap as it is? Though I have heard people have had issues finding stuff on PS Store lately.

If that fails, try the phone app or the website!

@YummyHappyPills Of course. Nothing came up when I searched. It's also not filed under the "New games" section. I wonder why it's not showing up? I even tried using the browser-based store, and I couldn't find it. :/

EDIT: I found a facebook post stating that there was an "Administrative error", and the North American version did not successfully launch on the PS4. Great.

@CanisWolfred well that is just weird....wonder why.

PS4 doesn't have the best search function with its weird letter selection screen, but I've never had any trouble finding games.

That would only be inconvenient if you actually needed to turn Switch off. Switch is designed to go into sleep mode. There's no reason to turn the system off whatsoever, at any time.

And that's what I tried doing with PC as well- using the sleep mode function... but the only problem is, vibrations in the floor would cause it to turn on automatically.

Switch is, without question, the most convenient console I've ever owned. Into sleep mode in a split second and out of sleep mode and a split second. Displaying on the TV within a split second and displaying on the handheld within a split second. Of all the consoles that have ever existed, Switch would be at the very top of the list for convenience. The gold standard, really. Of all my complaints with that system, convenience is most definitely not one of them. Although there are some lesser aspects of convenience that it really fumbles with, lesser aspects have less impact on the user experience. Having to use a program to organize screenshots when I take them off the SD card for example. No data management option. So it's definitely not perfect but, its convenient where it counts. PC is just not very well-designed for a living room experience. If you have desktop monitors and a chair and mouse and keyboard then I'm sure it's fantastic. But I'm a living room gamer. I like to play on my 4KTV in a Lay-Z-boy 😃

@JaxonH I like to turn things off so they don't use unnecessary power or create extra wear on the hardware...

@Haru17 I've heard it's actually better for most modern devices to leave them in sleep mode, but I don't know for sure. There are a lot of conflicting opinions on that.

@KirbyTheVampire If you're using it every day? Then yes. But if you're only using it a few times a week or even less? Turning a device completely off is the best way to go.

The way I see it, it might be worse or better in theory but in practice, five years from now I don't think you would be able to tell the difference either way. Batteries degrade overtime either way. I'd rather enjoy my system in full convenience then to inconvenience myself for 5 years just so the battery potentially lasts an extra 5-10 minutes 5 years from now. If it gets that low where it needs to be replaced, I don't think 5 or 10 minutes is going to make the difference either way.

But with that being said, the fact we can't easily change the battery ourselves does actually give merit to those looking to preserve their battery the best they can. But even then, it's debatable which is best so, I said screw it. Enjoy it to the fullest and if the day comes that needs to be replaced then I'll send it in and get it replaced. Hopefully that day won't come until the generation is over, and can just replace it that one time to use as a legacy console afterwards.

My Gamecube and Wii still work perfectly, for the record.

PS+ is off to a pretty good start in 2018. Deus Ex and the Batman Telltale series are both pretty substantial releases, and Mandatory Happiness is supposedly a pretty decent VN.

Well Batman is pretty terrible, but Deus Ex is one of the best RPGs this generation.

Why have I played all of the free PS+ games already?

Got Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition and Metroid Samus Returns for Christmas.
Not bad.
Don't really have time to play either at the moment but whatever.

So Jak X on PS4, as if this didn't get more bizarre of a port, has some very poorly worded trophies.

So one trophy says "Earn 4 kill in a Circuit Race without dying once".

What it actually means is "Finish a Circuit Race without dying while getting 4 or more kills"

Another says "Reach 100 kills in Death Race, in Adventure Mode" which I have done numerous times, by keeping count of how many individual vehicles I destroy (As I know there is a point multiplier so you cant go by score) and....yeah I had 100 several times and the game counted 80 or so. So I don't know what the game counts as a kill in that case.

Well, I've dived into the PS4 a bit since getting one for Christmas. Been playing some Battlefront 2, Killing Floor 2 (a little) and World of Tanks. Somehow I actually prefer WOT on console over PC as weird as that sounds for me to say and I got Killing Floor 2 so the wife would quit kicking me off the PC to play it. It's been fun so far and soon I play to go hit up the used games at Gamestop to see if I can find some goodies for cheap.

Those are all very PC-ey games, Mr Vomit.

Get Bloodborne, Uncharted 4, Last Of Us and Horizon.
