This is tempting, but I think I'd rather have the handheld tbh. Still... it'd be awesome to play FF4CC on an HDTV.

From a Vita owner since Launch, I must say this looks awesome and could do wonders for the system. Heck, even I might just want one, for, if nothing else, to play PSP and PSOne games on.

For people who already own a PS3, the can get the $100 version and a 8GB memory card for $120 combined. That looks like a pretty cheap way to be able to play Vita games(and some PSP games). I think this will give the install base a pretty good boost. It will be even more enticing to PS4 owners as the DS4 will have the touchpad and they will get the streaming feature too. Vita might really make a comeback here.

Wait, this thing requires proprietary memory cards too? Wow Sony...

Also, is most PS4 games get released on Vita as well, what's stopping anyone from buying the much cheaper alternative to the PS4?

Most of the Vita ports of PS4 games are likely to be very toned down, and also what @moomoo said in #58.

fyi, gravity rush isn't THAT great. It's quirky, and the first 2 hours are fun... But I'm convinced that they never got around to hiring a design team. Some of the most elementary design mistakes this side of an NES game... Wait til you attempt a trial and want to retry it.

Concept is pretty cool though, and cutscene presentation is AWESOME. If only the content in said cutscenes wasn't such an utter waste of time...

I respect your opinion. Most of the time. Not in this case, though.

This'll go about as well as the gameboy player. I'm calling it.

You expected to not use Vita memory cards?

And that actually had more games to play. I think most people buy portable games to play on a portable system, not to have them try and compete with home consoles.

Mine stopped working right after I beat Superstar Saga a couple of months ago.

I hope developers won't start to ditch touch control options just because of this.

I absolutely hope that that IS what happens. No longer will we have to rub Drake's butt to climb a latter.

To be quite honest, there aren't really a lot of games I've noticed that even use the touch screen for anything useful...

Ironically, I can see why I would want one. It's cheap and can probably link to my PSN account (which I still have money on)...maybe later

How exactly does this save the vita? You still have to pay $200 for the handheld console

You don't need to. You can play the Vita games on PSV TV for $100 (Save yourself from buying the $160 bundle if you already own a D3 controller, it also saves you a $100 from buying the actual handheld console)

Love my 3DS, Fighting games and Zombies. Enuff' said.

If I wanted to play games on a TV, I'd buy the PS4 instead...

Good for you.

The PS4 and Vita TV have completely different game libraries and are set at completely different prices, though, so I don't know if its aimed at you. At $100, you don't exactly need lots of exclusives to justify a purchase. The ability to play Persona 4 Golden, Soul Sacrifice, and the new Ys game are all I need. The desire to play a select few Vita games seems to be strong with many other people too. The ability to play PSP, PS1 and indie games are a nice bonus.

This device doesn't seem to be aimed at current Vita owners. It seems to be for people who don't have a Vita but want to play a few games, for people wanting a cheap media box, or people wanting a second PS4 in their house.

How much do Vita games cost? There's only about 2 or 3 games i'd want to play on it, so even if it is only $100, if the games are really expensive it's still not worth it for me.
