No PS4 controller support at launch- no buy, several vita games that Im interested in... that involve touch screens.
Any good vita games sans touch screen???
We don't even know when Vita TV may come stateside/UK-side, so odds are that by then it'll have dualshock 4 support.
They cost about the same as 3DS games. Some are cheap, others more expensive.
Ah, okay. I can afford 3DS games, and I have (and want) a lot of those, so I should do just fine with a few Vita games and a Vita TV. I'm very happy with this development.

Persona 4 Golden, Soul Sacrifice, Ys: Celceta, bunch of PS3 ports, Muramasa if you don't have a Wii, and a few others I can't think of (I don't own it).
I'd reckon that games like Gravity Rush, Uncharted and Killzone could easily be patched to support dualshock 3. There's more buttons there. Plus, dualshock 4 could very well be supported day 1 in the west, since the PS4 actually comes out this year over here in November, unlike Japan.

Mine stopped working right after I beat Superstar Saga a couple of months ago.
Hey, at least you got to complete the best game of all time first.
That is true. (Well, maybe not best game in my opinion, but it was great nonetheless).
Was it just me or does the Gameboy player delay the buttons you press a bit? I was able to play a lot better on my Gameboy Advance SP (I had to switch to Gameboy for the final boss), but dodging was never as easy on the Gameboy Player. I assume that it was probably just me making excuses though. @ScroogeMcLz I still haven't gotten around to playing that one just yet. I'm finishing the other games first. Yeah, I know you're joking, btw.

fyi, gravity rush isn't THAT great. It's quirky, and the first 2 hours are fun... But I'm convinced that they never got around to hiring a design team. Some of the most elementary design mistakes this side of an NES game... Wait til you attempt a trial and want to retry it.
Concept is pretty cool though, and cutscene presentation is AWESOME. If only the content in said cutscenes wasn't such an utter waste of time...
I respect your opinion. Most of the time. Not in this case, though.
I'm a blowhard - best realize I'm not worth paying attention to now, lest you base a purchasing decision on my hideously nuanced tastes.

What I don't understand is how some journalists are hyping the ability to play your PS4 titles on another TV with the Vita TV. Why the heck is this so amazing? I can understand playing from the handheld...but another TV?

Not joking as in not liking Dream Team, joking as in pretending to misinterpret Pixelman's words. I think I just confused myself there. Also, it doesn't matter how I've been here over a year, I still have trouble figuring out sarcasm from seriousness in some posts.

Oh no guys, I think Sony has the next big thing!
Tired of playing your games on a second screen instead of a TV? Well you need a Playstation Vita TV! With this $100 (super cheap) device, you can play all your Playstation 4 games on a DIFFERENT TV!! Why bother going through the trouble of playing your games on the TV your PS4 is connected to when you can play on the Playstation Vita TV in the next room!? You can even get the exercise from walking from room to room! It's a win-win situation for everyone. Playstation Vita TV, only 99 USD.
Now with that said, is anyone hyped?
Also, after thinking a bit, I think I see the market on this thing. Anyone who just wants the cheapest option available.
