Time for the poor Nintenoobs to complain about another game they'll never have!
So, because Konami decides not to release the game on a Nintendo platform, leaving Nintendo players left out, automatically makes people who only own a Wii U a "Nintenoob"? That's a nice attitude.
I think it's legit for Nintendo gamers to complain about it. There's no reason this can't be put on the Wii U.

There's no reason why it's not on Wii U? Maybe because the system is selling like sh*t? I don't want to be a hater, I myself own a Wii U, but honestly I can understand when publishers say that it's not worth putting their multiplatform games on Wii U because it just doesn't have a big enough install base yet. Maybe in a year or so we'll be getting most multiplatform games, but right now, the Wii U has to sell more. This is nothing new, this happens with most new consoles.
I just logged on my PC, and I'm greeted with freakin' Metal Gear Solid V!!!
TWO freakin' Metal Gear Solid Vs!!!
Sure, the game's existence was common knowledge with the whole Phantom Pain thing, but I'm still marking out like a little girl now it's been made official. I wonder if we'll see the trio of Solid, Liquid, & Solidus? I imagine Solidus would be a little older than his brothers...maybe he'll play some sort of pivotal role in engaging with Big Boss?
I'm pretty bummed that David Hayter isn't coming back though. First Sam Fisher, and now this? Oh, and no Wii U? Well, guess who WON'T be back in Smash Bros. U...
So Hideo Kojima tried to clear up some confusion. Hope this makes things clear for some who are still confused here.
"From "FOX," Two Phantoms were Born.
Hideo Kojima has put out an explanation of some of the confusion generated from yesterday's presentation. As seen on @hideo_kojima_EN:
"Ground Zeroes" is a prologue of "MGSV". 9 years after that event will be "The Phantom Pain". MGSV is constructed w/ prologue and main game "TPP". The game play demo I presented today is the opening of "TPP" which is tutorial that starts from crawling."

It was a joke. I own a Wii U, dude. "Nintenoobs". C'mon. Who says that?

I can think of plenty of reasons.
1) Not a high install base
2) Porting to an additional platform would require time (that Konami likely can't afford. They're not doing too hot right now)
3) Porting to an additional platform would require resources (that Konami likely can't afford. They're not doing too hot right now)
4) The vast, vast majority of people interested in the franchise are likely to own a PS3, and if not at the very least a 360. The 360 has the MGS Collection, and the PS3 can play every major MGS game. Considering that nearly all the people that would be interested in this game already own one of the target platforms, why make it for Wii U? Even if the Wii U had three times the install base it has, it'd be pretty hard to justify putting the game on the platform, since it wouldn't really mean that many more sales.

Oh and I've single handily confirmed that Master Miller is in MGS5.
Though, it raises the question: Who's looking at Big Boss and Master Miller? Some speculate it's Gray Fox but that's, well, unpredictable since we know little to nothing about the game.

@Chrono_Cross
I wouldn't doubt that he is, but Grey Fox helped Snake and not Liquid in MGS1. Big Boss' goal was basically the same as Liquids, so maybe they really were true friends since Grey Fox knew when to stop him? Who knows...
Master Miller WAS Liquid as an imposter too, and they both communicated through CODEC.

Gray Fox*
No, Liquid disguised himself as Master to get Solid to put in the detonation codes.

Kojima's style is charmingly ridiculous. I must do everything in my power to acquire a Sony platform and catch up on the series before Metal Gear Solid V hits.

I understand, but if Gray Fox is Master Miller, then it would make sense why he trusted both imposter Master Miller, and 'Deepthroat'. In otherwords, he trusted the same entity.
I think Master Miller may even be related to Bigg Boss. It doesn't say that, though.
The main characters of the game are always the same. Even Ocelot had his arm mutilated in MGS1. I would think that the weird looking guy (not red hair) is Psyco Mantis.
It wouldn't be surprising that there will ton of characters from the series present, even Solidus.

Join the club. I have yet to beaten a MGS game even though I pretty much own all the important ones. I came REAL close to beating MGS3 ages ago...

Ugh, I was THIS close to quitting MGS3 near the end, the gameplay was just that bad imo. But the story definitely made it worthwhile in the end though. (MGS3 is the only one I've really played btw )

MGS3's gameplay was great, but the difficulty spike near the end of the game made me rage quit (which I have regretted ever since).

I loved the normal sneaking gameplay, and the way the buttons on the PS2 work for all the different functions was amazing. The part I hated was the turret sequences near the end. And that final boss fight. >_>
