I understand, but if Gray Fox is Master Miller, then it would make sense why he trusted both imposter Master Miller, and 'Deepthroat'. In otherwords, he trusted the same entity.
I think Master Miller may even be related to Bigg Boss. It doesn't say that, though.
The main characters of the game are always the same. Even Ocelot had his arm mutilated in MGS1.
It wouldn't be surprising that there will ton of characters from the series present, even Solidus.

No, Gray Fox and Master Miller are two entirely different people. Also, no, Miller and Big Boss are not related. Just really good friends.

Plus, everyone who says Solidus is going to be in V are completely unaware of the storyline (or have never played 1). If V takes place in the 80s, Solid, Liquid and Solidus are still only kids. Sure, one of them might be in it, but unless Kojima makes their character important somehow, no, I doubt they'll be involved let alone have a major impact. (Just because Solidus is "old" in 2009, doesn't mean he's "old" in the 80s.)

Ugh, I was THIS close to quitting MGS3 near the end, the gameplay was just that bad imo. But the story definitely made it worthwhile in the end though. (MGS3 is the only one I've really played btw )

You should be excited for 4, then. Not only are the graphics, music, set pieces, pacing, characters, bosses, weapon variety, replay value, and charm, of a higher caliber than 3, but the gameplay is the best in the entire series to date.

Seriously, it's one of those games where if something goes wrong, it's your fault. lol

i would be getting more into the MGS series, but most of the games are on PlayStation, a console i do NOT own. D: i've only played the NES game, twin snakes and the 3DS game D:

I beat MGS3 on 3DS and had no problems with the gameplay. For me, the game's few flaws all stemmed from pacing issues.

Anyway, if Chrono is right and it's really the worst one in the series, I'm really in for a treat when I finally get to the rest of it.

I thought MGS3 was better than 1 myself. The camo, tactics, espionage action, and enhanced CQC were overall better. The environments were more impressive than even 4 IMO. They're all good, but I don't think I'd even be able to stand playing MGS on PS1. It was WAY better on GCN.

Wasn't too into 1, had it for my cube, it was decent, but not my cup of tea. I loved 3 on 3ds though, excellent, excellent everything. Never got too into solid's or raiden's adventures, but big boss is the man. :3

never played mgs on gamecube but i have seen that they changed some (or all?) cutscence in the game. they made the game look ridiculous and over the top. the cutscenes on mgs for psx were way better.
mgs3 was cool but not as great as mgs1 and 2 IMO

But we don't know when Solidus's advanced aging began to kick in. I always thought that he went through accelerated aging all throughout his life, meaning he could have looked like he was in his early 20s at the time of MGSV. I don't think he'll be in the game, but not because he's technically a child.

Kojima has a lot of catching up to do. The only clone I could see making an appearance is Solid but even then, David Hayter isn't voicing any characters, we don't know exactly where the game leaves off, we don't know where it precisely begins and we definitely have no idea how Big Boss meets his children.

There's just too many plot holes to begin guessing possibilities.

This looks like it takes place before the NES ones, and after Snake Eater(obviously), but the trailer hasn't shown much in terms of story links between the titles.

anybody notice that most other game sequels are marked with a number (MGS 2, etc.) well, this one has a ROMAN number at the end! MGS The Phantom Pain V.

Final Fantasy, Soulcalibur, Kingdom Hearts, Street Fighter, the King of Fighters, Etrian Odyssey, & Dragon Quest all use Roman numerals.

You do make a good point there. I've actually heard other say it might come to Vita, but that was before we knew it was literally the same game as Ground Zeroes, so now we're out of ideas.

Seeing as how my skill for stealth games has dropped dramatically (thanks for making this clear to me Hitman), I hope it's like Revengence and FULLY ACTION!

Replay Metal Gear Solid 1 and 4. 1 will prepare you for 4 while forcing you to cream your jeans and playing 4 will prepare you for V.

It is. Big Boss is suffering from delusions from his past. Volgin is apart of that. lol

Did anyone ever beat Metal Gear on GCN on "Enemy Alarm" death mode? You can't even be seen once, but only the bosses. That was crazy... I think I got to the nuclear weapon zone.
MGS4 was hard to if you played on the hardest. The enemies basically hear and see anything.

Try getting all of the dog tags on Hard. It's nearly impossible.
