Well this sucks. I have a powerup rewards card and Gamestop is the nearest gaming store to where I live. There's a Wallmart across the street from Gamestop but they're not a dedicated gaming store.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Typical GameStop. Just another reason why I don't shop there anymore.

Aside from no used games, I find Walmarts gaming section no different then Gamestops.
And as Link-Hero stated, Amazon is the way to go....If you live in the States. They kind of suck in Canada for gaming, when it comes to deals and availability that is.

You can use Amazon to get your games, but it's your choice. Just don't shop at Gamestop anymore.

I can't order online. There's no way for me to do that. I only use cash for my game purchases because my family doesn't exactly approve of me spending money on games.

Does Walmart get games the day they're released?

Well...I admit that's kind of low and sucks for those buying the game there...but sorry, I'm still shopping there. I buy most of my games there, they hand over any retail displays I want for my collection. Its a good thing I got going. More power to you guys who are boycotting them though

The reason for this is cause Gamestop is getting ready to release their own cloud gaming format from their purchase of Spawn Labs. So having an Onlive coupon is a conflict of interest in something sold at Gamestop. That would be like getting a coupon for Pepsi in a 12 pack of Coke.

Wow. Dirty move... They've already ruined Impulse, now they have to do this...?

I've been told they're not providing the cases for used DS/3DS games any more. I haven't bought a used DS game from GameStop in ages so I wouldn't know.

I'm still going to get my preordered Mario Kart from them, but I guess everything from now on will be bought at Walmart.

While this is a total jerk move, it's not going to cause me to stop shopping at GameStop. Them giving me already-opened "new" games is.

Very good chance of a class action lawsuit on this one, keep your receipts PC buyers.

GameStop has apparently pulled the PC version of Deus Ex: Human Revolution from the shelves.

Stupid thing is, this is giving OnLive a ton of attention which is exactly what GameStop didn't want to happen...even stupider, GameStop employees are apparently selling codes on eBay which not only harms the original purchasers of the game, but the company that they are employed by since they're also further promoting OnLive! Not to mention GameStop may be sued by OnLive too since they had a deal with Square Enix to pack in the free code.

In my mind, debacle is the most appropriate PG word for this situation.

To me, OnLive has been nothing except an afterthought. It's likely most gamers that shopped at GameStop wouldn'tve even cared that there was an included OnLive coupon. GameStop really handled this one poorly.

What is the meaning of life? That's so easy, the answer is TETRIS.

Really? I bought a used copy of Shadow Wars 3D less than a month ago and it came with a case and the manual too.

@cheetahman: i know if the game is in the display case as opposed to having a case out on the shelves, they won't give you one, not even one of their little generic plastic cases. when they started purging their GBA games from the display cases, they started loading DS/3DS game carts into it, so that's probably where that came from. If you can find the case on the floor for a used game, they'll just pop the game into it and let you have it when you purchase it.

also, i know Oddy brought up the whole 'opened games' argument going against GS, but i'd say that within the past two or three years, i've never had a problem with them giving me a shrink-wrapped game right off the bat when i bought new. before that, yes, i remember plenty of times where they'd give me an opened case, pop the game inside, and then slap a sticker over the opening and call it 'new', but i haven't had that happen to me in a long time now. :3

That happened to me a few days ago when I bought Rayman 3D. I bought it new but they just took out the card from their drawer, found a Rayman box, slapped a little clear sticker over the box and sold it to me as a new game.
