Two very good games that were very much worth their asking price of a buck.

Umm... Okay well, "I beat the story mode"

My two recently beat games are Fallout: New Vegas (PC) and Call of Duty: Black Ops (Wii).

New Vegas was phenomenal from start to finish and I did just about everything there was to do in my 143-hour play-through. As for Black Ops, eh, I liked GoldenEye better...

I beat Banjo-Tooie not too long ago...and I managed to defeat Hag-1 on my first try!

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. I finished it for the fourth time yesterday (this time, it was on hard).

Twilight Princess for the 3rd time. And completed GoldenEye over the weekend, second to last mission was hard as nuts... that dam sun beam or whatever shooting me. ._.

Anywho, I just beat CoD Black Ops' campaign. Now I'll play some online modes more. ZOMBIES D:

The last console game I beat was Donkey Kong Country Returns and the last Wiiware I beat was Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. In the portable category, I just recently beat the first GBA Warioware and Super Scribblenauts on the DS.

Beat Axelay on easy last night. I wish it were a bit longer though, I managed to beat it in around 45 minutes! But it was great and definitely comes recommended. Gonna work on normal mode some more tonight.

I can now add Donkey Kong Country Returns to my list of recently beaten games, though I still left the Golden Temple unfinished to prolong the experience just a wee bit longer...

I collected all the trophies in Mini-Land Mayhem recently. All the levels were very well-designed, but Plus Mode didn't add much.

A pretty weak to decent month for me I must say. Contra II: Super C along with Metal Slug 7 were the two highlites, although I didn't find either game particulary great. Super C while still a blast, isn't quite up to snuff when compared to the original. The soundtrack was inredibly weak aside from a couple of decent tracks, the stage design felt alittle generic, the boss battles weren't as memorable, creative or epic and the overheard sections just weren't as fun as the enemy base levels in the original if you ask me. A fun sequal, but doesn't reach the amazingness of the original. And Metal Slug 7's 'start from any mission once you've completed one' made the game less intense and challenging and it lacked in variety and felt like a safe generic sequal. But it was still a good time. Not sure if I prefered Super C, or this.

And Sonic and Cooking Mama, can both go to hell. They can go to hell and they can die. Uninspired, remixed, lazy Sonic the Hedgehog 4 with it's crummy whacked out physics and boring gameplay...Mind you, I'm not exactly what you would call a big Sonic fan hehe. Cooking Mama drove me nuts after a while, I don't even want to bother talking about that one! And Splatterhouse...Well, let's just say I wish I could of had the original Arcade version instead. With the Tubro Grafx version you get inferior graphics, inferior sound and different sounding music, missing footage from the opening Arcade cut scene along with missing awesome sprite based stage intro's among other things. Not to mention the turbo grafx version looked incredidbly BLURRY. But apperantly that's the problem with turbo gfx VC games, they all look like that.

Not completed...but I just beat Phantom Hourglass this morning (finally). I started this game over a year ago and stopped but started playing a couple weeks ago with a fresh start. I really enjoyed it!

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest

Let me just get the good out of the way.....The graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is freaking fantastic and it still retains that classic Castlevania atmosphere. But the ridiculous random and obsure objectives are so bogus and insane that you'll NEED a guide to beet this game period. Aside from the 10 second day to night transitions, my biggest problem with the game were the mansions...They were so bloody generic, bland and practically the same in design, where was the variety? They were poorly done, and having to throw Holy water all of the time to make sure you don't fall down an invisible pit wasn't fun. And what really annoyed me was that there weren't any bosses at the end of the Mansions.....Well aside from 2, who were complete pushovers. And they didn't even get their own 'boss' music to acompany them.lol PURE Lazyness.

And the final battle against dracuala was so anticlimactic and sloppy...But you know what? There's just something I like about this game and I can't quite pin point it. Yet I have a huge feeling it's because of nostalgia based on the AVGN's first video ever based on his CII Review which hit youtube around 4 years ago, along with his Dr. Jeckle Review(Where he rips on CII again) AND even his recent Castlevania Halloween episode which I loved for many reasons.lol So my overall opinion on the game is a bit jaded.

And I think the game's ridiculous but in a hilarious way, all thanks to the AVGN. But still....It's got great atmosphere, and visuals and tunes are a feast to the eyes. But the game overall is seriously flawed and the weakest Castlevania game I've ever played. It is definitly in need of a remake. Castlevania II: Simon's Quest ReBirth ayone?

I recently Re-Beat Luigi's Mansion And SMA3: Yoshi's Island, and I beat Donkey Kong Country Returns for the first time a while ago. All great games.

Finally beat Metal Gear Solid today. Over all I'd give it an 8.5. It's an amazing game, but certain aspects of it are really starting to show their age. And I'm playing Metal Gear Solid 2 right now, and it's definitely a big improvement.
