I think the question was more among the lines of "What happens to christmas if santa gets forgotten?". Imagine a distant neo steampunk future where they still celebrate christmas,but noone has the slightest idea of who the heck is "Santa". What would the stores use to sell their junk? Jesus? Ha!

@TBD, Well I could not find anything els but that picture, the rest were worse and don't think anyone would have liked the pics except that one.
I hear people talking and telling their children Santa is coming so you better be good, and I noticed Christmas was suppose to be about Christso why don't we hear something from the parents like you should be good because Christmas is about Christ and we should make it a very special day and make him happy and not sad, something to that effect I think. Because people just don't talk very much about Christ on Christmas anymore and its really sad.
I guess people just keep recycling Santa , someone needs to invent something els for Christmas, seriously.

I hear people talking and telling their children Santa is coming so you better be good, and I noticed Christmas was suppose to be about Christ so why don't we hear something from the parents like you should be good because Christmas is about Christ and we should make it a very special day and make him happy and not sad, something to that effect I think. Because people just don't talk very much about Christ on Christmas anymore and its really sad.

My son is 95% sure there isn't a Santa Claus and my daughter is pretty much right in the middle. I expect that to change as the years go on of course. I tell my kids that Christmas is a time to celebrate, with family, the spirit of giving and goodwill towards mankind. Santa Claus is supposed to be symbolic of that mentaility NOT the spirit of "what are you going to buy me"? Since we aren't Christians, we don't celebrate the day as someone's birthday. I guess you could say we've morphed it into a celebration that just happens to take place on December 25th.
The next character will be...... SINTERKLAAS! (You people do know that he was first, right?)
Sinterklaas is the real one. America ripped us off and incoporated him with christmas. At least Sinterklaas has a holiday named after him that he doesn't have to share with Jesus.
Santa Claus is a corruption of the Dutch word 'Sinterklaas', which is a corruption of 'Sint Nicolaas', which is Dutch for St. Nicholas. There are some more differences with Santa Claus, though. Sinterklaas is like a bisshop and still looks like that, even though the holiday itself has become secular over the years. Instead of a sled with reindeer, Sinterklaas has a white horse. He lives in Spain for some reason and arrives by steamboat. At least the weather is a lot better than on the North Pole.

I'm sorry you feel that way, but please take the religious aspect of this discussion to another forum. You started it about Santa, keep it about Santa.
