Topic: So, Link is being beaten by Draven on that gamefaqs character battle, but it brought a interesting question up

So on that gamefaqs character battle thing link is being beaten, now, I discussed this with some friends and they said we don't know much about link's personality, all he does is say heyahh when he swings his sword. Well what do we know about link as a person? Who IS link on the inside?

Also, I think it is uncool link is being beaten, but the logic behind it is strange.

Link has courage we know that, and he's kind. What else do we know about link?

all the males in his faimly are named link and they sometimes marry a woman named zelda.....family issues....dr.phil or dr.mario time hahaha....

Damn, Draven is destroying link. I don't see how a league of legends guy has more character than link.

Link goes into houses, destroys their pottery, and steals the money inside them. Not exactly a kind person.

I have to say the large popularity of a Gamefaqs character battle every year is somehow one of the strangest parts of the internet.

That being said, I have to assume that Link is popular for the same reason a lot of silent protagonists in games like this are: because people invented their own personality for the character so everyone tends to like the character they partially made up.

Well I have to ask, could link be courageous WITHOUT the triforce of courage?

I'm kind of surprised to hear this. How big is this League of Legends?

I've never been a PC gamer, so I'll admit I'm pretty much ignorant of big PC games, but I'm surprised a character as iconic as Link could lose to a character I've never heard of before.

Well Link really doesn't have a personality he's basically an avatar you're not allowed to customize.

Link is some guy who get bossed around by some random characters and he's forced to go on some massive adventure...he doesn't even get a reward for killing whoever is wreaking havoc. He should flat out yell "NO!" when he's asked to go on a quest.

I believe 4chan/reddit are involved, at least they were when it came to the Mario vs Vivi portion.

Pretty big. The LoL forum on Reddit has over 300,000 members and there was a thread there telling everyone to go vote for Draven, so that's why he's winning.

The first few years Gamefaqs did this, the winner was always either Cloud or Link, and when they did the villain only one it was Sephiroth. The last time I paid any attention to it, the L-Block from Tetris won, I think people just got sick of Link and Cloud winning since then.
