I basically have gaming family...

My Grandparents were obsessed with Tetris SNES since I can remember. Along with that my Granpa is a Zelda and Pac-man fanatic. I've seen him get into conversations with much younger guys about Zelda. He has a GBC too, I wanted it so bad.

My dad would play Duck Hunt and Mario when I was pretty young, we even had a classic TMNT game, Dig Dug and another shooter game that was weird.

My cousin had a N64 and a SAGA Dreamcast, LOL I sucked Sonic at first.

I sort of thought, my family's days as a Nintendo family were pretty much over when we got a PS2, but we still are a Nintendo family, we got a Wii instead of a PS3 and have been buying DS for the past few years. I guess once a Nintendo family, always a Nintendo family?

My dad and brother love video games, but that's about as far as it gets in my family.
I don't think it's strange that you have a family that loves video games. If people enjoy something, they enjoy something, and that's how it goes for anything, including video games.

my parents used to both be obsessed with video games, so they never play them nowadays or else they wouldnt get any of their work done. but sometimes, if my dad tries out a game that im playing, he'll play it for days before stopping

My father doesn't care about video games, but loves pinball. He actually has both Guns 'N Roses and a Terminator 2 tables in his barn.

My family has the misfortune of being a non-video-game-related family. The only ones that play video games are me and one of my cousins, which is small in comparison to my giant family.

EDIT: My mother used to play that Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt cart for the NES and Super Mario 64, but those times have slowly died. Man, I wish those didn't.

My Dad hates video games, but my mom doesn't really care either way. She might play Tetris, but that's about it

I'm the only gamer in my family. I like it that way, though.

The Game.

Is it after 9PM EST? You should probably ignore the above post.

Most of my family plays video games. My mother love the Gamecube and spends loads of time playing around through Harvest Moon: Magical Melody and Animal Crossing. She likes those kinds of games. My sister loves platformers. And my nieces, well I've trained them well. One has a Wii and Import Saturn (she loves the shmups) and the other has an Xbox 360 and a Neo Geo AES Cart system (she loves the fighting games like Last Blade and Garou: Mark of the Wolves). Oh and my wife. She loves 16-bit stuff like platformers and RPGs like myself. She tends to prefer the 8 and 16-bit stuff, but does love the Sly Cooper and Ratchet & Clank games.

My dad loves the bowling game in Wii Sports (and now Wii Sports Resort) and my mom never touched a videogame since the Atari 2600 and Odissey 2. My fiancee likes puzzles and platformers like Crash Bandicoot. My brothers enjoy almost all of Nintendo 64 classics.

Just me and my cousins play video games in my family. I convinced my parents to try Wii Fit a couple of times, but there not really even into that....

Dad and mom are not into anything that really deals with technology other than the TV. My brother plays his PS2 when he is not taking care of his 3 daughters and working full time, so it is rare when he gets to. I am really the only quote unquote "gamer" in my family. I have been off of work lately so I have been playing my Wii,PC,PS2 and XBOX in ungodly amounts. While my GBA,Cube and N64 have been sitting on the sidelines for the last month or so.

My family used to play video games, but now I'm the only one who still plays them regularly. My mom loved Pikmin, while my dad is more into arcade shooters such as Galaga (we all also enjoyed playing Super Mario 64 and Mario Kart 64). My brother and I basically shared the same gaming interests, but all he plays nowadays is Runescape and occasionally Medal of Honor: Frontline.

I feel my mind dissolving around...

My parents were never into video games, but they let me and my brothers play them. In the last few years, my brothers have been playing video games less and less. I've now practically inherited the wii. Not to say that they never play with me.
One of them, though, still plays video games, but he's a PS3-Xbox360 player, and a retro collector. He has never touched a wiimote.
It's lonely playing New Super Mario Bros. Wii alone.

My parents weren't into video games either. It took some convincing that they wouldn't "rot our brains" when we were little. Then she realized my brother and I were going to see to it that our brains rotted either way, so she caved in.

My dad's not really into any games at all. My mom likes things like solitaire, tetris, sudoku, and such. She's great with computers, but struggles with coordination using a controller. She hasn't really gotten into the Wii either, but she thinks it's "pretty neat."

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

My family doesn't play games much apart from me and one of my cousins but he's more of a microsoft gamer although he does have a ds and wii he plays his 360 more and he's one of those people who think that nintendo only care about casual gamers now. I would call my younger sister a casual gamer, she sometimes plays one her ds and our wii but if she is on the wii it's normally multi-player. My older sister used to play games but now mostly reads and only plays games if it's multi-player with friends. My mum and dad don't play games. I just remembered, I have a second cousin once removed into games, he doesn't have a favourite out of nintendo, microsoft and sony. Another of my cousins also plays games on his 360 but not much.
