Well, my older sister thinks that almost every game other than Harvest Moon, NSMBW, WS, WSR, or BIS is dumb, my dad might play a game for 3 hours a month, my mom might play 3 hours a year, and my little brother only likes watching me play games. My cousin loves video games [Well, he did, 6 years ago when I last saw him], but that's about it.
Just let it happen.

My family doesn't play games much apart from me and one of my cousins but he's more of a microsoft gamer although he does have a ds and wii he plays his 360 more and he's one of those people who think that nintendo only care about casual gamers now. I would call my younger sister a casual gamer, she sometimes plays one her ds and our wii but if she is on the wii it's normally multi-player. My older sister used to play games but now mostly reads and only plays games if it's multi-player with friends. My mum and dad don't play games. I just remembered, I have a second cousin once removed into games, he doesn't have a favourite out of nintendo, microsoft and sony. Another of my cousins also plays games on his 360 but not much.
I have a sister that somewhat hates videogames, but she likes Mario and Bust-a-move. She think the DSi is a waste but yet she obsessivelly takes pictures of the dog with the family one.
Back in the N64 days my family used to play it all together, now the only people I know in my family who are gamers are 2 of my cousins and they're too far away to visit and play games with

I am the only "hardcore" gamer in the family apart from my brother, who lives 9 hours away. My wife and daughters play on the DS a lot, especially Style Savvy, and we do like to gather around the TV while playing Mario, Animal Crossing, and other family-friendly games. My tastes are getting less hardcore as I find I am happiest when gaming is a shared experience--and when it is an immediate experience, the way the old arcade games I fell in love with were.
