A couple in Pella, Iowa will have a Mario-themed wedding this August where they will dress up as Mario and Princess Peach. They've been making Super Mario Bros props since December to decorate with, and the father of the bride-to-be will strangely be dressed as Bowser while the mother will be a star. Around 400 guests will appear, and they are all invited to dress up in costumes as well, so expect Luigi and Donkey Kong to be among them. The props will be piranhas plants, mushrooms, green shells, a blue shell, Mario plushies, pipes, and blocks. To learn more, see the link above. I think this is pretty cute!

lol, i've seen Zelda-themed weddings before (complete with elaborate costumes), but never a mario-themed wedding with costumes. :3

The first and only comment in that article is a negative one, and now they don't accept any more comments. That commenter is a jerk.
That angered me too! They're not even teenagers!(assuming they don't say other wise in the video, I just read the article.) What a jerk move to just assume that, because they're doing something out of the ordinary. I think it's great they're doing this. Sure some people will laugh, but if it's what they want and makes them happy then good for them, for seeing it through.

I hope I'm invited. I have a Baby Daisy costume I haven't used in a while. Not that I dress up as Baby Daisy frequently on most saturdays. I...I don't. OK, maybe. But I'm not confirming it
If that makes them happy I suppose.. I just remember at my brother's medieval themed wedding there were a lot of comments and things because it was all a little bit different than the normal. Though my sister in law's dress was beautiful, just not traditional and white. So I this Mario themed wedding seems very fun I just hope they still feel the same about it in 20 years.
