Bob Hoskins sports a resume that most actors would envy. Best known, perhaps, for "Who Framed Roger Rabbit?," he also played key roles in "Brazil," "Mona Lisa" and "The Cotton Club."
He has appeared in nearly 100 films and television shows — but there's one he'd like to erase from that list: 1993's Super Mario Bros.
The Guardian spoke with the 68-year old actor, peppering him with a series of questions about his career, politics and life moments. And he doesn't hesitate to give his feelings on the role that forced him to slap a comically large mustache on his mug and say lines like "Come and get it, lizard breath!" while maintaining a straight face.

What is the worst job you've done? Super Mario Brothers.
What has been your biggest disappointment? Super Mario Brothers.
If you could edit your past, what would you change? I wouldn't do Super Mario Brothers.
I like the movie in a "so bad it's good" kinda way. If you don't take it very seriously and take into account that it's VERY loosely based on the game, it's kind of a fun movie.
i only remember the animatronic "yoshi" and bowser that i remember as looking like m. bison. did he really look like that or am i misremembering?
(yes, i just pulled a george bush. misremember should be a word)
Actually, "misremember" is a word... Anyway, I actually didn't think the Super Mario Bros. movie was that bad. I thought it was good as a kid, and I watched it a few years ago and it wasn't good, but certainly not horrible.
Lol, I remember hearing Bob Hoskins say the same thing on a late night talk show a few years ago. I dont remember if it was Jay Leno or Conan. You know its a bad movie when the main star of the film has that to say about it.

That reminds me: I heard the kid who played Lucas in The Wizard got arrested for.... well let's just say he didn't keep his power glove to himself. Can anyone clarify that?
Also, I've never seen the Bob Hoskins Mario movie. I'm really tempted to, but... I don't know... can it be much worse than Dragonball: Evolution?
it might not be a commonly used word, and it might sound funny, but it's not debatable.
that said, i do feel bad for the guy, but it's not like the SMB movie killed his career, so he got off pretty lucky, i think. besides, everyone winds up in a stinker eventually... it's just a matter of time :3

Basically, he decided to use his power glove near minors and it was so bad that it got him arrested.
I seriously wonder if anyone involved in this movie had actually played a Super Mario Bros. game. It doesn't have anything to do with the games other than the names of the characters being used.
I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, except when it comes to the Super Mario Bros. Movie. It's despicable.
On a completely unrelated note, some people think I get too hyperbolic about stuff sometimes. I think that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard in my entire life.

If they have THEIR OWN idea for a movie, Why would they need a licence if they (the writers) think it's good?
One major example is the King of Fighters Movie because everyone involved was sure of a hit... But the fact that they changed every part of the story was the reason it flopped (so bad that they are now all hiding)
